Early on as a young teen survivalist, I dreamt of numerous guns I wanted to have as part of my survival battery. Looking through the magazines I’d drool over the AR-15A2’s, Remington 870 shotguns, HK91’s and HK94’s, Ruger 10/22’s, and 1911’s. I would make list after list of what I would need to survive. Inevitably firearm accessories would be included and more often than not Choate, Machine, and Tool products were recorded. Extended magazine tubes for shotguns as well as stocks for rifles and shotguns would be MUST HAVE’S!!

Flash forward years later and I get an email. This email is from Fred Choate and he was inquiring about advertising on my old website. I was floored! While we worked out a deal for some advertising, we also emailed back and forth over some period of time about survival, preparedness, and the insanity we call modern times. I discovered that the ownership of Choate, Machine, and Tool were not just manufacturers of firearm parts and supplies, but true 2nd Amendment supporters, preppers, and great people.
I’m sharing this as far too often I have, in fact, had contact with some of the bigger names in the industry and many of them, well, sucked. Choate is a genuine “Made in the USA”, 2nd Amendment-supporting, America-loving company.
