Looked at your related topics and saw the never ending bug out bag, and I wanted to add my comments to this about my bag.

I came across these Nalgene bottles, in 4 different sizes and they are pretty dang handy. They range in size from 1-liter to 150 ml. I wish I could add a pic to give a better idea, but these bottles hold a lot and they are water proof. One of mine is filled with oatmeal, and i was amazed at how much you could get into these. I opened the pacs and filled the container directly. I also have instant coffee in one plus when you use up the contents you have a container or water bottle. Anyway, if someone can tell me how to share a pic, I will.

Well, North Texas is running out of gas. The shutdown of the refineries along the Texas coast has cut U.S. production by about 20 percent.

Yes, I’m in the DFW area and got gas yesterday morning. The price had gone up from about $2.20/gal of regular unleaded to $2.42. Then this morning I noticed some long lines at our corner 7Eleven. When I got farther along I saw that QT had taken the price off the sign on the street marquee for unleaded. They were totally out! I don’t see this situation getting any better very soon either. I’m sure the refineries are still shut down and it will probably be at least another week, maybe longer, before deliveries resume. Glad my truck runs on diesel! Still seems to be plenty of that.

Its ok everyone, just heard the Texas railroad commissioner say we don’t have a fuel shortage!!!! Look like he’s following the .gov play book to calm the public.

Here on the ground, WE HAVE A SHORTAGE!!!! There maybe 230 million gallons of gas stored in the U.S. somewhere, but its not coming to North Texas. The fact is fuel truck are not make their deliveries at the same level they were last week and before.
