Hello folks 👋  Life has been extremely busy and a few things I thought I’d pass on. Do me a favor – – – – > Comment below and share any exciting news you may have or if you’ve had any significant events happen recently(if you feel comfortable doing so). Any big preps you’ve completed? We’d love to hear it!

First off, I have found a new job!! I’m very excited to take over a small manufacturing facility along the coast of Maine. This company was recently purchased by an investment group and they are looking to expand the business and increase sales. A significant raise for me(which I need) and it’s going to be a much better fit than my current employer. Tomorrow is my last day and I start my new job on the 28th. Yup – I’m taking a week off to do some work around the property. More on that below…….. 👇

If anyone is looking for the ever-popular Mora knife they can be had for $11.99. Great price!! I have several. One of the best deals around…..

I’m overdue to provide an update on our efforts around the property. I’ll do a separate post and/or video on that. One thing I’m really happy about is the 6 blueberry plants we put in. I took a lot of time to make sure they were planted right so they would have an easy time getting established. They’ve actually grown a lot over the past couple of months and produced so many juicy blueberries.

Several weeks ago I traveled down to South Carolina to see my kids. It’s been a few months since I had seen them. I gave one of my recent AR builds to my youngest. He was thrilled!! The two of us and a buddy of his went to a range and did quite a bit of shootingk💥.  Good times!

Shortly after moving into the cabin I bought a chainsaw. Living where I live a chainsaw is a standard tool to have on hand. Earlier in the spring when the snow thawed we discovered the driveway was nothing more than, well, dirt. We need to have a real driveway put in and this should be happening in about a month. In order for the trucks to come down the driveway as well as dump their loads we are having to clear any limbs and branches 20 feet above the driveway.

Enter: The chainsaw.

Between my future brother-in-law and myself we have it 99% complete. I have quite a bt of smaller branches we will chip into mulch and some larger limbs I’ll be cutting up for use in the wood stove and firepit(Solo Stove firepit)🔥

Over the past couple of years, I’ve grown to believe that we have been lied to about almost everything that we have held and believed to be the truth. Whether it’s much of the history we’ve been taught or how the United States has been the savior of the world it appears that deception at a minimum has been used. So many things I  scoffed at as conspiracy I now believe to be truth(or at least likely the truth). The Great Reset is real. The New World Order is real. Give them whatever name you wish – but organizations of the rich, powerful, and influential largely control the direction the world heads.

If the news media and government say it’s true – I would likely say it’s not.

Have a great weekend all!

Congrats on the new job! The blueberries are looking great! I’m jealous of the chainsaw. I lost all five of my chainsaws to the storm surge on Sept 28th ’22. 🙁

    1. JR says:

Thanks CaptTurbo. I did a lot of research on the Black Max brand prior to buying and seemed like a high quality and reliable product at a good price. WalMart carries them.

Yup – that storm was pure evil. I was down in Fort Myers 1 week after it hit helping a friend who was devastated.

Just made a deal on a homestead property in TN just have to finalize things! Am excited and apprehensive about the move.

    1. JR says:

Congrats Russ!! I’m excited for you! If it is was you have wanted and desired then aggressively go for it and don’t look back. Our journey here over the past 6 months has been far from perfect, but, no regrets and always moving forward.

  3. Rc says:

Great news on the new job! Congrats! So I know you have been getting as much rain as we have here in central NH. The summer that wasn’t. My garden is not doing to well. The tomatoes are really suffering this time a round. Just to much rain. The growing season is almost over here.

    1. JR says:

Rc – The weeds have been very much enjoying all the rain and suffocated several of my plants. Next year we will be much better prepared gardening-wise.

Central NH? What part? I used to live north of Concord in the small town of Franklin(many beers ago).

  4. CaptTurbo says:

JR, If you find yourself down in Ft Myers in the future let me know. I’m sure we would both enjoy meeting each other.

  5. MPG says:

I’d like to take this moment to recognize myself and my sister for that 99% completion of the limb and tree removal team. As they were being cut we were hauling them off. My sister slipped in the mud and we had a good laugh after we knew she was alright. We got a lot done that day! Never under estimate the power of a Mainer with a chainsaw and 2 Maine women! Team work!

  6. Single Mom says:

You go, MPG! Leave it to a man to take credit for the work done by a power tool and a couple women. lol

Congratulations on everything! It’s coming together nicely, isn’t it?

  7. MPG says:

Lol! You understand the struggle! And yes, it is coming together! We feel like we should be further along than we are but we haven’t even been here 6 months yet! As we speak JR is going to go get a snowblower. So much to do to prepare for the apocalypse and a Maine winter.

  8. JohnP says:

John, and MPG, you make a great team. Almost finished putting a new cage area around the chicken coop and mounting an old 5 k military generator on a trailer to make it portable for use around the yard.

    1. JR says:

JohnP – thanks. I think we do as well. Chickens are planned here for next year. Learned lots this year and still learning. I’m looking at getting a larger generator as well. Putting it on a garden cart or small trailer would be a great option.

  9. Stacy says:

I believe that we are on day 39 of 100° or higher! I spend my days watering, watering plants, trees, garden ( yup it’s hanging in there) and animals. I’m also preparing for my fall garden, starting seeds in my greenhouse. On the flip side not much mowing going on which is nice because we haven’t had any rain since early July which stinks 🤨 Have lost 2 chickens to the heat.
    This too shall pass.

  10. Mike says:

    Hi John

Congrats on your new job! I was in manufacturing most of my career in a number of different positions and always enjoyed it. I always like turning raw material into finished goods and was involved with the sales and marketing end as well. I wish you the best of luck with it and hope you enjoy it.

As far as your thoughts go with respect to reality & truth in the American Media, truth is non-existent. I have thoughts of my own. I am a 76 year old Vietnam vet & part of my training was as a survival instructor which I did. I have been prepping since 1970 and am quite advanced in it and totally mobile. I feel if you stop, as in moving you will drop, as in dead. I elected to be mobile because I think everybody who has a facility like you do is a target. They will come after you because you have what they want. In reality it can’t be defended ending in your death. That’s why I am mobile. It’s a tough call and I’m not condemning what you’re doing and I wish you and all of you who have that type of facility the very best. It all depends on how far it goes.
We have not been told the truth in the last 80 years that I know of. The New World Order was started in 1865 by a Brit named Thomas Malthus & the population goal was for 500 million people then. It is the same now so eight billion people need to perish. My sources show me that weather control can be done on a daily basis and I think you’ve seen enough situations when the West was on fire and Vermont was underwater at the same time. It has happened countless numbers of times. All of the economic data & news that you hear on TV is a lie. The true inflation is between 20 and 30%. The sources for the truth are all available to you as they are to me. I research one to three hours a day worldwide and these are my conclusions. M. D. asked an opinion from me in a blanket email. I told him that I tried to enlighten the American population for 50 years and finally gave up. I got off my soapbox, took it to the desert, broke it into pieces and set it on fire. I then cooked marshmallows and hot dogs over it while I drank some Cutty Sark Scot’s whiskey.
I feel that the American population in general is brain dead. They are the laziest most spoiled rotten & totally in denial group of people of any country in the world. I have washed my hands of them for I cannot help them. They don’t want to be helped. So I don’t waste my precious time and now you are trying to enlighten them and starting to get the basic ideas of just how bad things are and what kind of control on use is out there. This is just the tip of my iceberg. Good luck with your quest, but don’t burn out with it. You are one of the best out there! You have great products at a good price point & FREE shipping – what more could you ask for?

    Mike

    1. JR says:

Hey Mike – thank you for your service and thank you for the fantastic comments. I can’t agree with you more. I was talking to my older son(24) who has recently become very involved in politics and spends a lot of time on social media arguing with Liberals/Communists/Socialists who develop their opinions with emotion and fantasy rather than using facts and logic. I told him not to waste his time. At his young age he should be spending time on more productive initiatives. I likely offer up my opinion on current events as much to vent and my own sanity as to attempt to influence others. We’ll see what happens.

  11. Ernie Lubiani says:

Hey congrats on the new job, your success at growing blueberries and the progress on the new homestead!
I have an interesting question/ debate I would like to throw out there to you and all the other folks that frequent your page.
Ok ready here we go….. 1/4 synthetic winch rope. Not for use on a winch, but in your pack. I recently got a 50′ section and I’m impressed. It’s super strong and weighs hardly anything.
Downfalls are it’s a bitch to cut for sure, but what are everyone’s thoughts on using this in place of actual rope in your pack?
I would love to read everyone’s input and comments. And please know I’m not trying to start any arguments just want to get some opinions from anyone who might have more experience or knowledge about the stuff and to throw it out there to you JR and get your opinion as well.
Thank you man, and seriously the homestead is looking great.
