We are in unprecedented territory. America is under siege by an invisible enemy and the seemingly required actions by Federal and State governments have opened a Pandora box the likes of which we have never seen before. Millions of American’s are fearful of the future as their employment falls into question. How will I pay my bills? How will I pay my rent/mortgage? How will I care for my family? What is going to happen?
This hits home as I lost my job this week like many others and now looking for employment in an environment where hiring is highly unlikely.
From all indications, the Federal government is going to take drastic actions to provide help to the populace. Right now there is a massive $1.3 trillion dollar stimulus getting ready to be implemented. These funds are to go to Americans via two checks(April 6th and May 18th), and struggling businesses – including the airline industry – greatly effected by the economic slowdown.
What do we do now?
If you are in a higher-risk health category the focus must be to not attain the virus at all. Quarantining by limiting exposure to people and the virus itself must be a priority.
Those at less risk, while still trying to avoid the virus, should focus on the economic challenges ahead. A strategic approach to making certain that basics such as food, water, medical, security, communication, and planning are taken care of.
In a word: Prepare.
Food
While food storage should have already been a priority for readers here, if stocks are not sufficient NOW is the time to make improvements. With income being diminished for so many the following is a list of foods with higher calorie content and lower prices:
- Rice – this is becoming more difficult to find at the moment, however, stores will be resupplied. Likely there will be limits on quantities to purchase. Rice is simple to prepare, keeps well and can be combined with many other foods and seasonings.
- Bread(flour)- Many stores have been selling out of bread. Make your own!! Simple to do and very inexpensive with as low as 4 ingredients(flour, salt, yeast, water).
- Pasta – Typically can be found on sale and keeps well. Don’t forget pasta sauce.
- Peanut Butter – Dense calories and great taste. Store brands are cheap.
- Canned Meat – Tuna, canned chicken, and SPAM are still available in most stores. While not the cheapest food they can be used to form meals and provide protein.
- Frozen Meals – There are meals available as low as $1.00 and with sufficient freezer space load up.
- Frozen Meat – If fresh is sold out there are usually boxes of frozen steak, hamburgers, and chicken available.
Water
Water is incredibly important for not only sustainment of life but for cooking and sanitation.
- Water is difficult to store as it is heavy and takes up a lot of space. Purchase gallon jugs of purified or spring water rather than bottled. Bottled water is very expensive compared to jugs.
- Build your own water filter system. There are lots of videos on YouTube on how to do this, however, many of the components are sold out or prices have skyrocketed. One option is the Sawyer Mini Water Filter Bucket Kit available from me. This kit allows a simple Sawyer Mini Water Filter(about $20) to be hooked up to a bucket so high volumes of water can be filtered. I normally sell this kit for $10.99 on eBay, however, I still have them for $9.99 with Free Shipping for readers of 1776PatriotUSA. Click HERE to check it out. Click HERE for the Sawyer Mini Water Filter. I highly suggest that you have at least TWO filter systems available. I currently have
- If you have a pool or rain barrels make certain they are full.
- Purchase Clorox bleach to be used to disinfect water.
Medical
- Stock up on current medications. Many insurance companies will allow you to get a prescription filled 5 days early.
- Make sure a good first aid kit is available as well as compression bandages.
- Wear prescription glasses? Make sure you have at least one spare pair.
- Have a variety of pain killers, anti-inflammatories, anti-diarrheal, and Severe Cough-Flu concoctions.
- If you lose your job or have no insurance check out GoodRX for discounts at pharmacies. Yes – it actually works in many cases.
Security
There are many cities across the country releasing criminals from their jails to reduce the possibility of spreading within the jail population. While this INSANITY going on this cannot end with positive results. Unemployment is going to skyrocket and many will become desperate. Crime is very likely to increase.
- At a minimum have a pistol or shotgun available for each adult in the household.
- MAKE SURE THOSE THAT HAVE ACCESS TO FIREARMS KNOW HOW TO USE THEM. The last thing anyone needs is to be shot in the ass by their cousin while trying to avoid the virus. Range time!!!
- Ammunition is in short supply for most common pistol calibers, thus, a shotgun is a good option. Regardless, a few boxes of ammunition for each firearm is a minimum.
Communication
With everything going on there are a couple positives: The power is on and does not seem to be at risk anytime soon and communication is still fully available. While a lesser priority there are a few steps to take just n case:
- Basic FRS/GMRS handheld radios should be put back along with extra batteries. These are extremely handy should the grid go down and can be fun and entertaining for little ones as well.
- Have a written list of names, phone numbers, addresses, and email addresses for friends and family just in case regular communication such a cell phones get interrupted.
- Keep a couple of soup cans and some string. You never know.
Planning
Everyone’s situation is different as far as geography, population density, housing, etc. Consider all aspects of your situation and think of what could happen if the power goes out, there was a large increase in crime, civil unrest, or if you needed to relocate. The more you think now and literally make a list the better you will be able to think and react later.
FINAL THOUGHTS
The Trump Administration is pulling out all the stops to try to save the economy. Most people simply do not realize the impact this event is having on the economy – short and long term. Those who have been in the preparedness game for the past few decades have contemplated what an economic collapse would look like and how it would start. What is happening right now could easily be looked at as the catalyst that ends up creating a storm the likes of which this country has never seen. Hopefully not.
What do YOU think? What are you doing to deal with not only what is happening now but to also prepare for what lies ahead? Any advice or insight you wish to share? Please comment below.
Take care all.
Rourke
This “pandemic” is bullshit. An orchestrated move to remove President Trump. Destroying the global markets and economies is a bonus for these scum bags. The goal is one world order and a new world currency IMHO. America is all that stands in their way and she is on her knees after being so deeply infiltrated by the Muslim usurper’s communists throughout all the important agencies. The swamp is much deeper than any of us knew.
Capt – I feel your frustration and agree to a very large extent. The virus is real from the perspective of it is making hundreds of thousands sick and killing many. The response is excessive and is destroying the greatest country in the world.
So – what are your plans? What are you doing?
In Australia the govt response has been different, social distancing, work from home if you can, school open, we’ve had panic buying and not enough testing. Guns are frowned on and no new permits are being issued to my knowledge. Medicines are hard to get and waiting list for essential asthma medication is three weeks away. Lots of job losses and the govt is looking into retraining programs to be fast tracked for areas of need. Student nurses are now in hospitals due to staff shortages.
Stay safe everyone
Thanks for the info Vi. Appreciate it.
Maybe time to write the second installment of your book JR?
LOL Vi – maybe. Incredibly I am incredibly busy being unemployed as I move into other things to generate income and deal with the ramification of unemployment. A couple years ago I actually worked on redoing A Survival Story and creating a trilogy. Life happened and I have not finished.
Jr, I first came across your articles and loved them and Arlene’s and as a result I stated prepping last year . But I mostly keep that to myself as I am a mama with a few kids two with severe special needs. But that advice put me ahead of the game along with my garden. I don’t have much but if there is a way to give back and support any your new employment ventures let me know. Good luck, but I have a feeling you’ll be ok. Blessings vi
While I can’t mention all I have done, I shared many here in the past. Beans, bullets, and bullion has been my credo for years. I grow food year round. I’m blessed to be in an area warm enough to do so. I generate all the power I need and have been doing so since 2010 when the Muslim usurper had me spooked with his threatening to make electricity costs necessarily skyrocket. Since they haven’t hanged that SOB and the Clinton Crime Family is still walking free I suspect that the deep state is still holding the cards. I’m surprised and disappointed that Trump is backing this Trillion+ dollar spend to treat a wound that is 100% self inflicted and unnecessary. I’m afraid they have him boxed this time.
I have mentioned previously (at least I think I have) that ionic / colloidal silver is a really great anti viral and anti-bacterial. It has served me for many years to get nasty flu crud out of my lungs using a nebulizer and deep breathing the fog. While the powers that be are telling the sheep that it is not effective against this virus, I call BS on that too. I can’t tell anyone what to do but you asked me what I am doing. I built a simple contraption years ago to generate ionic silver for very little money using a DC power source, distilled water, and silver bullion. If there is interest I can share what I did but you can buy colloidal silver at health food stores and probably at pharmacies as well. A lady friend of mine just bought a 4 ounce bottle from a Mother Earth store locally for $22.00 . That might sound expensive and it is but think for a minute. All this BS going on while they tell you they have nothing to help you with although they are working on vaccines? Guys like us should be leading the way and I have offered you all ionic / colloidal silver to consider. I have no fear of this virus. What I fear is why they are creating so much fear. It sucks not being one of the sheep eating Doritos watching CNN but instead having some understanding how deep this swamp is.
Thanks Capt. I’ve seen a colloidal silver generator a buddy made and used. I need to get into that for all the reasons you pointed out.
I don’t think Trump has a choice right now. Regardless it is being done. Love your descriptions of Barry and the Clintons! Spot on.
Store your spare electronic communication gear in some type of Faraday protection. Covid19 won’t affect it, but an EMP will
Good reminder thanks. N Korea would love to kick us as we are struggling with no power.
Keep praying folks and use your time and energy to keep organized and safe.
Plant seeds for veggies I just in pots.
Re: pandemic- I have read several exc. books on the subject and we should have all known this was coming-not an IF but a WHEN. Stay positive…. Arlene
You bring up a very valid point Arlene. I see our country at risk today more so than ever before…almost like just before Pearl Harbor. With our country literally sick, the predators out there that would love to see us taken down are simply salivating and drooling. One slip on our part and I see and EMP to add to our woes.
Also, in my warped opinion, all of these mega bunkers the elite globalist in our country have constructed and most likely are now hiding in, should be rooted out and filled in with concrete. Let those parasites come up to ground level and experience the same thing we all are.
I’m drinking a Corona. 😁 what are you doing? 😂😂😂 just messing with you bro, I’ve beefed up my fridge and pantry food, ordered ten more 1 month 1800 calorie per day buckets, topped off all car gas tanks, prepared 17 five gallon gas cans to be filled (I’m not quite there yet) I have been organizing my fifth wheel putting away latest preps to have it prepared for bugging out. Ordered lots 1000 mg vitamin C organic non gmo. According to meany articles I’ve read large doses of vitamin C is the only proven over the counter treatment for Corona or any flu for that matter. I’ve been vigilant on keeping up with the news, watching the markets, searching out any information I can find in order to make the best decisions. I voted in the primaries yesterday, anyone else??? I’ve been talking to many family, friends, customers, and even strangers about their thoughts on what’s going on, it seams the general consensus is that this sucks, it has to be done to protect people and it will be ok… it’s going to last a couple months and then people will be going back to work, and people will probably have cabin fever and be out in droves spending money… I’m not sure 🤔 how long it will take for the markets to repair themselves, but I believe it will happen very quickly, all the spending going on is going to eventually show as a positive in the market, all the great things Trump has put in place and continues to put in place are going to have a profound affect on us getting back on our feet, I mean we’re not even supposed to feel the effects of the North American trade deal until around election time… there’s many things like that, including the China trade deal that’s going to be boasting the economy for decades to come, god willing… this is not the Obama economy, this is the Record breaking TRUMP economy (any other president and this could have been so much worse) I personal predict America picking herself up, dusting off her jeans, and starting to get back to normal by JUNE 13th with the markets once again STRONG by election time…. this is a scary time, we have been knocked down (mostly due to hysteria in my humble opinion) but WE WILL RISE, STRONGER, and way smarter… we will not forget China when we do, I think 🤔 it’s more than clear than China is our enemy, and psychological warfare is very much going to be a part of the generation of information…
Good point on the vitamin C John. I forgot to mention that when I spoke of the silver. I buy loads of supplements from Bulk Supplements.com> If it’s not cool to drop a link just remove it. I have an aging chocolate lab female that i have on a big list of stuff. She gets a different medicinal mushroom each night as I rotate through them. Mushrooms are huge for keeping your immune system strong. I have an order from them set to arrive on Monday that will among other things contain two kilos of Vitamin C powder. Thanks for bringing it up. As luck has it Monday is my next scheduled fishing charter and that company requires a signature for delivery. Most charters have been canceling due to people being too freaked out to fly. I;m not fat from losing my sense of humor over this deep sate induced freakout.
Hey Capt. I think we were actually typing out reply’s at the same time, when I posted my response yours was already there, I’ve only recently heard of this silver treatment? Can you tell me more about it? Good information on the mushrooms. I hear you on the deep state, I went through several stages of anger about how this was being handled as well! They definitely had our man Trump closed off on this one… as good as he is he can’t plan for this madness, media did their jobs well creating the hysteria!!!
Hi John. Silver was used with great success in our early history before big pharma came onto the scene. They cured just about everything with it. There is a reason the Royalty and rich used silverware (the real thing) and silver drinking vessels. It protected them from plagues.
There used to be a lot to read on the internet. It seems like some of it has been scrubbed.
As a survival minded person it would be prudent to have a compressor / nebulizer on hand to deal with health issues.
You might have trouble finding hand soap or toilet paper to purchase but I’m pretty sure you can buy some colloidal silver at any health food store near you. For one thing, they stopped teaching people about medicinal use of silver long ago because it directly competes with pharmaceuticals. Another reason is that they went out of their way to declare anyone selling silver related products to use for the China virus, scammers, telling people that it is ineffective and dangerous. That really is criminal in my opinion.
The reason my home brewed ionic / colloidal silver has worked so well in the past is because when it’s turned into a fog with the nebulizer I can take it deep into my lungs to reach the crud. Considering that the most lethal component of this virus is it’s propensity to cause pneumonia in compromised people, what better way to get the anti-viral agent to the target?
I’m not a doctor and don’t even play one on TV and I did stay at a Holiday Inn once but can’t now because they have been mandated to shutter. lol
Do some searching online and read what you can about ionic silver. The more we know the better.
Appreciate the information Neville. Great stuff and I will look into colloidal silver further.
Thanks Capt. Will do.
I hate to admit I was unprepared, and it’s mostly due to serious health problems over the last 18 months, but it’s keeping me up at night now. We’re circling our wagons here and combining 2 households immediately with the possibility of adding 2 more (only 5 people total). Two will have steady incomes as long as the gov’t remains stable (and one of those has extensive savings), but the rest are looking at unemployment. Our quarters will be cramped if everyone moves in, but I don’t see any other way of keeping people fed. We certainly can’t afford to run multiple houses if this continues for more than a couple weeks.
I have a decent wood supply, enough open land for a large garden, and a reasonably-clean source of water if needed. There’s an iron cookstove in the cellar, and my outbuildings can house extra people, if necessary. The neighbors are all good people, and it’s the kind of community that will pitch in and help each other. Unfortunately, we’re within hiking distance from the bad end of a small town. On a good note, the only way to get here is across one of two small bridges over a rather deep creek. If we can block those off, there’s little chance anyone could circle around unless they want to cover hundreds of acres of woods and steep hills, and they’d find easier pickings before they reached us.
Our county developed its first 3 cases within the last 24 hours, and our store shelves have been consistently bare for several weeks now. They’ve now decided that no one is allowed to buy more than 2 of any one item. I could probably go at least 6 months on what I have, but the other 3 households wouldn’t last more than about 2 months. Several of us have health conditions that are keeping us away from people, so we’re dependent on the remaining 2 to risk going on regular foraging runs to find canned and dried foods. They’re all finally listening to me, but it’s too late.
Thanks for commenting Singlemom and please take care. The economic reality of severe job loss levels is going to create an environment of families and friends housing together. Not everyone will be able to pay rent.
It sounds like you are in a fairly good situation with community and supplies. Watch those bridges over the coming weeks.
When this whole mess started, the first thing I though was: This is what I’ve been prepping for.
We pretty much had what we needed already. During the first few days when this all started, which seems so long ago, I hopped out to the local stores and got a jeeps-worth of last minute items. I was already home, as I lost my job soon after Christmas. Made my trip at 7am, to come in contact with as few people as possible
Milk, juice, dog treats, canned veggies, wipes, extra vitamins, as well as various last minute regular shopping day items. Out and home in an hour or so. Also gassed up both cars. Came home, did all the laundry and washed all the dishes in case we lost power, etc. Hey, you never know.
When my Wife got home, we placed several Amazon orders for anything we thought we’d possibly need in the next 6 months, including 25 lbs of peanuts for the squirrels.
We have enough wood left to get us through the rest of this winter, and part of next year, as well.
Also re-established contact with a fellow survivalist, who lives walking distance, and recently bought a bunch of new chickens to increase her flock.
It was such a relief, knowing we were good-to-go. Prior planning. Years of reading books, watching films, taking classes.
It all started with a book called “The Survivalist”, by the late Jerry Ahern, that I ran across in a mall bookstore decades ago.
Thank you, Mr. Ahern, for opening my eyes to the fact that we need to never take things totally for granted, to assume bad times will pass us by.
Wish for the best, prepare for the worst.
Great words Sheltie Gang. What you just described sounds very similiar to my own efforts. I’ll echo your words on Jerry Ahern. I was but a teen when The SUrvivalist was coming out and I searched and searched each month looking for the next one. Loved it and still have a full set.
What do we do now? We buck up and do whatever is necessary to ensure the survival
of our country and it’s citizens! This not the time for the blame game. There will be a
time in the future. Hating those that got us into this shit storm is a waste of time. We
must put all of our efforts both physical and mental into long term survival and recovery. Venting is healthy, but now get busy with the day to day tasks to make a positive outcome possible.
This is going to be the hardest thing most of us have ever done. I know we can win.
I’m a religious man but I don’t think we can pray our way out of this.
Thanks NormalChuck. No doubt – it’s time for each of us to make it happen.
Since TPTB are keeping up the mantra of “we are doing everything in our power to keep the ship upright,” one SO very much wants to believe. Believe yes, this is going to be hard, but we’ll be ok, yes, we’ll get back to normal this summer, no, it’s not the beginning of the end. But i don’t think this story has a happy ending…not in this life.
First things first though…get through this pandemic without getting sick. The care one needs as a higher risk group, (being older,) will not be available. The doctors who are fighting this on the front lines already say the meds that are effective are already in short supply. (If they have to choose between administering limited treatment to someone over 65 or a 30-40 year old, the younger person will get the treatment.) The logistics are stacked against those who have issues or/and are older. That’s a fact, so it’s isolation or be ready to be passed over if you need treatment in a hospital setting. This is not really that hard to accept…after all, making a way for the next generations is what our intent was all along, right? Skipping what follows this crisis, might be a blessing…time will tell.
As each of us ponders the future, i will admit, this isn’t exactly how i expected TEOTWAWKI to go down. It’s almost TEOTWAWKI in disguise. The power is still on, the internet is still available, no riots in the streets, we aren’t covered in ash from a volcanic eruption, nor freezing in the wake of a instant mini-ice age. YET…
So i will be grateful for the shared community here, continued contact with family and friends over the miles. Grateful for the modern luxuries of water, electricity, phones and computers. But i am watching, and a bit on edge as i wait for this to play out. i don’t want to be caught sleeping…
Thanks Joyce.
” The power is still on, the internet is still available, no riots in the streets, we aren’t covered in ash from a volcanic eruption, nor freezing in the wake of a instant mini-ice age. YET…”
I love that….”YET” Take care.
Very grateful for our on line prepping community-thanks Rourke.
A county 20 miles from us where my son and family live was just declared an emergency-waiting to hear from the Gov. just what this means .Yesterday I had a feeling that I should bring down supplies while I could and I did as they are all in quarantine from a positive student that was in the girls school.Be well Arlene
NYS is now on 100% stay at home for everyone except urgent employees: nurses, Dr’s police etc. Travel to drug stores, hospitals , gas stations and grocery stores permitted ,This is happening because of the increase in corona cases.
This is happening in Calif. also What is happening in your states ? Arlene
Our county got its first 3 cases within the last 24 hours. I got groceries on the 12th, and the stores were fine. The governor closed the schools the following day, and that’s when the madhouse began. By the 17th, my son wasn’t able to get more than a literal handful of random food items. As of yesterday, they ordered the shutdown of all nonessential businesses, but we’ve only been “requested” to stay home. Stores are only allowing a maximum of 2 of any item, but nearly all have reserved the first hour of shopping for the elderly and disabled. I was able to convince my mother to run to her corner store the other day, and she was able to get a variety of canned foods and rice. All that store was missing was potatoes and bread.
Thanks. I wish you all well. IN Va. my friend said toilet paper and paper towels are limited to one of each per customer. If you have a credit card they can be ordered on line as well. Go to Georgia Pacific.
Starting Sun night all personal businesses will be closed ( barbers, hair stylists, real estate , tattoes( sp?) etc. due to the close proximity to customers.
I ca n understand that we need to flatten the curve of disease so as not to become like Italy and overwhelm the medical personnel.
Many people up here are helping others and volunteering their goods and services.
Please let us all pray for an early end to this corona . Arlene
Thanks Arlene. Walmart here has the same limits and most other stores as well. Many restaurants now have only drive-up services.
Same for Illinois.
opposite sides of the same turd (politically speaking).
I think we’ve both been banned from the Survival Blog for not bowing at the altar of Saint Lilly.
lol!!!! At least here most get it. Out there in the “real world” where they are fighting over the last packages of TP, not so much.
Live in the American Redoubt. People are mostly normal compared to some videos of
folks in other locales. Some shortages of already named items, but things show up day later or so, usually different store. Getting garden ready for this summer. Thinking about raising chickens but needs more research before decision. As to the Wuhan Flu debacle…….total excrement being foisted upon the masses. This is all about control, using economic tsunami in attempt to crush Trump. The numbers in peril versus the reaction is mind numbingly lopsided. Total economic devastation will likely kill more people than this farce. Social distancing, blah blah blah. Disease will fade into summer, then like all viruses emerge in the fall, just in time for the election, and to prevent the spread of the disease, everyone will sign up to vote online for Alzheimer Joe, commie Bernie, or in all likelihood, felonious pants suit, hillary. That means anyone can/will vote, unimpeded by the law. Its coming to a theater near you. The hand writing is on the wall for anyone with an open mind and a willingness to see, this is it. I would like to direct everyones attention to a letter penned by Martin Armstrong of Armstrong Economics to President Trump. An eye opener of what is happening, and possible real solutions that make sense. The link:
https://www.armstrongeconomics.com/armstrongeconomics101/opinion/asking-for-your-help-forward-this-letter-to-whoever-you-may-think-will-help/
I would urge all followers of this site to read not just this mans message, but to peruse
his site as well, there is much truth to be found. BTW, did anyone know that Dr. Fauci, the darling of the media/coronavirus scam in on every daily, bat channel, viral update is a serious admirer of Hillary? The link:
https://theconservativetreehouse.com/2020/03/20/fauci-love-letter-to-hillary-clinton-surfaces/
This is an orchestrated event. Also, just for fun, internet search: Bill Gates (you know, Microsoft zillionaire) + Event 201, a high-level pandemic exercise hosted by the Johns Hopkins Center for Health Security in partnership with the World Economic Forum and the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation, which took place in NYC on October 18 2019.
Hint….its all about a coronavirus. Hmmm, just coincidence. You know of course that Bill is now unemployed. He resigned his seat on the board at Microsoft just last week.
Oh, it just another coincidence.
Bad things are happening behind the scenes that speak of evil coming, and soon. Be mindful, thoughtful, and helpful, and be safe as well. Namaste.
c
Thanks for all that ralph k. Good information on those links and I was familiar with Gates and Event 201. It is quite a coincidence – or not.
I agree that there is much more to this situation than meets the eye. Regardless, we have to deal with it.
Great post Ralf! It sickens me to realize that all the points seem credible and accurate.
Great info, I agree that this is a attack on our economy! Thanks for sharing!
The mini ice age is coming for sure- but the when is an unknown.
8 degrees here tonight and snow due Mon.
Spring peepers were singing yesterday at 64 degrees,
We do not mind staying put but the prospect of no or little income is very real.
Today we discussed what would each of us want re: health care if we get hit hard with
Corona, I said no hospital-let me weather is out at home or die. My daughter said do all you can to save her. My sister said she isn’t sure. I encourage each person to have this talk and to have your health care proxy handy. We are hoping to not be affected or have mild cases but with two of us being seniors with compromised
immunity we need to be realistic. I am glad we live in a rural area but ideally the folks who live way out in the wilderness are fortunate .
Some people are lighting outside lights to represent HOPE and LIGHT so we put some on tonight ! Be safe everyone. Arlene
If you don’t have a compressor / nebulizer on hand thy are still available and ionic / colloidal silver should be available to purchase unless they have closed all the heal food stores near you. Pharmacies might carry it. I would think this would be a prudent thing to have as part of your home medicine supplies at all times, virus or no?
Thanks Capt. T – We have a compressor and the silver- Will look into a nebulizer.
Thanks. Arlene
The compressor is another term used for the nebulizer. I use both terms to assist folks who are looking for one. I’m not talking about the kind of compressor you air up your tires with. lol When making a search online to buy one, use both terms in the search. 😉
Thanks Capt. Silly me I was thinking of the tire compressor we have !!! grin. Arlene
Thanks for the reminder John. Hope you get thru this mess.
Thanks to you and a couple of others, I was able to drag my wife thru the big box stores a week or two before this virus hit our shores and I was able to finalize my efforts. Everyone else I had already warned to no avail. They all had to hit the stores with the rest of the sheep. Now they understand and believe what I have been preaching for the last 2 or 3 years. This past weekend I was able to fill the tank on the truck and put back 25 gallons of gasoline with Stabil in the cans. Water not a problem. Got in a delivery of med’s from the VA so I’m set. Already stated clearing the garden and tilling to mulch and compost the winter’s crop. As long as we don’t have a lock down on the interstates, all should be well here. Praying for all others especially on this site to weather this storm.
THanks Oren for your prayers. All our prayers will help. Unfortunately there are long lasting effects of corona -like fibrosis in the lungs.Arlene
