From the Desk of John Rourke – August 17th, 2017

Great comments and discussions lately. Appreciate it. Let’s keep it going.

Had lunch with five co-workers yesterday and current events came up. I mentioned “Antifa” and only one knew what “Antifa” was. Folks – that is a big problem. They all have heard about the racists in Charlottesville but only one knew about the other groups there.

Excellent evidence the MSM’s agenda is being played well.

Here’s a question that GG58 has brought up several times and I’ll throw it out there now. I don’t think it has been satisfactorily answered and I cannot say I have the answer. At least not completely.

How do we get organized?

Yes – that’s it. I’m talking Patriots. I’m talking the anti-Antifa. I’m talking those who wish to take this country back.

While the Left is organizing, creating flags, raising money, getting training, and making progress – what of the Right? It’s not happening at least I’m not seeing it. Sure – Trump won the Presidency. It’s easy for folks to walk into a booth and vote in complete privacy. What about protesting? What about standing up for whats right and being heard? What about fighting for the country you believe in?

As stated I don’t have the answers. I question whether the organization can be done to any national level or even state level. Why? The Progressive Left as a group is much more single-minded in their beliefs and desires. On the Right things like “principle”, “rights”, and “laws” have meaning. The Right have various opinions and while although similar – they are different and many stand on principle without a willingness to compromise. With that said – the Right remains unorganized or at least compared to many on the Left.

The answer is out there. I can tell you many on the Right fear being too outspoken as they may be paid a visit by law enforcement. I’ve had people email me and send me messages saying “be careful” with how I say things and what I may suggest. First Amendment, right? There are many out there speaking MUCH more radical than I ever have. I’m not worried.

How about the renewal of The Tea Party movement?

Maybe.

The right is ready and waiting JR. They don`t have to get in a pissing contest with the left. The right is more organized than you think.

Having continued to watch and listen and talk. I think the best answer. it seems obvious and it isn’t difficult, but requires some discipline. I won’t post it here.. anyone that wants to chat .. is welcome to off site.. JR has my info .. if you want it .. ask. If not no biggie.. He have not really begun.. but perhaps we are in the preamble of the beginning. Hopefully it will cool down a bit and we can relax some.
Head on a swivel and be aware.. prep like you mean it.

I agree with GoingGray58. Here is not the place in my opinion. Perhaps, here is a good starting point or link to start comms, I think those that are interested should go “offline” so to speak, with one of the communications/website programs already offered. I’m very confident this is exactly why Panhandle Rancher went total grey man.

Not through Facebook or socialist programs like those. I mean like newer ones, not being promoted, by the mainstream media. I’ve discussed comms with our groups many a times and not so much the medium. Stuff like the Wind Talkers did to the Japanese. That’s all I have to say about that…here anyway. 😉

I believe Rourke has mentioned a few alternate ways to communicate in the past. I have access to a few but have not used them. I will locate them and post on here later.

First Amendment is under attack. We have the right to say whatever we want but some of my co-workers (need their safty pins) disagree. Say it is hate speech and they have no right! We had a heated debate, but they are so far indoctrinated was pretty useless.

    1. goingray58 says:

Actually .. nothing is super secret about the concepts.. The majority of anyone nervousness should be being associated with specific language. That is what their filters look for in a SEA of data. Welcome to the patriot act.. Then there’s the NDAA submitted every year for renewal as a part of the military budget as a subitem, not separable from the rest individually at this time. So that will always be renewed, because no one wants the Military budget to be reduce or to fail in appropriations. The wants that could fuss anyway. Just look up NDAA.
I suspect none of us is important enough to be on a high profile list anywhere. You can be Gray exactly once. Once you are technicolor you are easily recognized and found ..
It’s not really Dire .. not really ..

We’ll work on the comms ideas ..

I do think a good source .. for articles .. might be
Operation Security (OpSec) – What is it ? Why is is Necessary? When is it necessary? Around who? What Mediums? and Examples.. and maybe with possible ways to defeat attempts. (which gets back into comms) potential repercussions based on various types of emergencies.. because a power outage due to snow for 3 days isn’t SHTF.. it just feels that way.

Personal Security – (PerSec) – Same above questions

      and What’s the difference.?

Again not Tin Foil Hat . .
But they just tore down a Statue in LA .. A peace Statue .. Why ? Because they were to ignorant to know it had no Civil War or now “White Nationalist” meaning. the Sturmabteilung have and are being very effective.
      “Sturmabteilung”
      http://team.web.fedex.com/sites/PA/PAInternal/Atlas%20Information%20Wiki/Atlas%20Support.aspx

I use that as an example because this smacks heavily of the individuals who were burning books in WWII.. Or the thugs hired by Unions .. to set one against another..
      Very biblical actually.
Anywho .. getting worked up ..
In short .. sharing strategy and tactics publically eliminates their worth to the participants. The most effective defense is to not be known. Had to do with today’s electronic footprint.
      sorry for the Rant

Antifa may refer to: Post-WWII Anti-fascism, a modern movement opposing fascist ideologies, groups, and individuals.

      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antifa

The above is the kinder and gentler definition of the acronym .. there are other less kind, however accurate. Anti _ Americans

In practice today they call the Right fascists, and are used in some cases as paid pawns hired to resist.. though some may be genuine in ideology.. they are by definition reactionary Liberals. Dress in black .. want to carry guns and weapons . throw feces and pee bombs. .spray acid and throw acid .. Line up and block traffic and hit cars and people with sticks and rocks.. do or say anything and everything to provoke a response from their target(s) are just a few of their tactics..

Much more can be said .. Google will provide as many images as you want ..

Yes, It’s a concern to share many things publicly. What would “our” social network look like? Anyone care to give me some ideas for attributes of such a system? As a retired programmer I have had some ideas for communication systems to run on the under $50 Raspberry Pi systems as cheap, portable ways to share info.

Trivial Item: I use USPS Forever stamps called “Repeal of the Stamp Act 1766” on ALL my outgoing mail now. Grey Man concepts aside, I like it.

    Take care

    1. goingray58 says:

PGP key based encrypted chat P to P and group.. no central server so the only traffic is encrypted network TX. Screen histories stored local to phat client.s Ability to have multiple concurrent chat windows .. free form or tabbed. Moderator or admin can revoke Keys .. local shared member list once added … Upload and download capable. Cut and paste images capable.. for frills .. Icon’s, Rich text formatting and multiple fonts possible. Jabber code is a good star for public available code .. it just isn’t peer to peer. A centralized server is a security risk, as it has a physical location and can be legally coerced. Also needs to have a proxy configuration with and without password authentication for restricted work machines etc.. on firewalls..
Neat to have would be MAC Address and IP spoofing.. legit addresses probably needs to be in a key(s) as well ..

      That’s a start

      1. Zenblaster in SC says:

Thanks, appreciate all the ideas. Gathering ideas now to merge with a project I’ve been planning for a long time. So many existing things I do not want to duplicate, Tor, Tails, Signal, GPG, hushmail, unseen, etc etc. I focus most on lowest level server/client code and comms from decades of C coding. I’m not looking to do a website. No central server, not relying upon DNS, always encrypted, adverse circumstances, are some of the primary concerns.

Maybe see some of you at Camp Sept 16

        Take care

  6. Oren says:

I agree with everyone. There needs to be an off line “chat” to be able to have access to what is really happening. I have a post it on my screen with a reminder…”Stay Grey”. I try to keep my posts fairly tame and controlled. I would welcome a reliable link.

  7. JR says:

Interesting my thoughts are quite far from most everyone regarding the organization and commo topic. Likely I’m closer to Capt. Michaels in that a more public internet presence should be created which to assist in recruitment and beginning a vetting process that leads to private communications.

I guess a question that hasn’t been asked is what the organization for? A response to Antifa? Networking for after the SHTF?

  8. Ronnie says:

I agree JR I see only a few on the right That I would consider organized but not organized on how to fix this problem before it evolves to the point of no return, The few on the right they are only organized for the aftermath not prevention , the left is growing in strength and they are getting very organized by the means of social media And the fact that many of them Antifa They do not work so they have nothing to do except planning the next agenda and Antifa is getting a free pass from many politicians and law-enforcement which is controlled by the politicians and most social media is owned by the left as well so they are giving them a free pass as well, The news media is calling pretty much anybody who stands up to these people a terrorist , if the police would’ve taken care of this problem from the beginning we wouldn’t be in this situation as we all now, I think most of us know what we’re going to do after, The only hope I see stopping this is getting people taken out of office who are not doing their job I guess that would be most of the governors and police commissioners Who have refused to do anything, but I just don’t see this happening.

    1. goingray58 says:

The police were ordered to stand down .. so the confrontation was deliberate.I agree that they don’t work.. but they are paid to rebel.. want prevention? stop the money.
      Prep like you mean it!

    Below is a message posted all over Meetup in every city around us;

    “A message from #Resist:
    Resisters —

Charlottesville showed the world the terror many experience in America everyday because of their skin color, and the hatred that still punishes them for existing in a world unjustly built by and for white Americans.

RSVP now for an emergency movement wide training call, with special guest speakers, to learn how we got here and what we can do to confront white supremacy in our own backyards.

This training will help answer questions and offers a safe space to learn, connect, and act responsibly to eliminate systemic racism and fight back against the open hatred we saw in Charlottesville.

RSVP now to grab your spot for the call to Confront White Supremacy, then post the call in your #Resist group with an invite and join us on Sunday, August 20th.

Thanks for all that you do,

    Ashley K
    #Resist Coordinator

PS: This opportunity is in response to a US based event, but racism and bigotry exist everywhere — this training is open to anyone, anywhere willing to confront it.

This message was sent by Meetup on behalf of #Resist Organizer. ”

Meetup would be a good place to start. We could post group meetings to get some face-time and away from the electronic side of this solution. Setup our Hams and have some low key solutions ready as needed. Two is one….

I am with Rourke, I don’t see the organization at any level. The left has unlimited resources, the media, Billionaire supporters, Santurary Cities, and every liberal based organization known and unknown to man. We have the NRA.

I guess I have taken a different route, I quit worrying about it. I live in the PNW and am selling my home and moving to be closer to like minded people. I stopped watching the talking head news, and stopped reading all of the Alt news sites. I follow this site and my local news period.

For those of you who have never experienced a Portland and Seattle protest, there is no compromise with these groups and that is how they want it. I hate it because I love this part of the country, but the people “for the most part” make it unbearable.
