I’ve said it once and I’ll say it a thousand times – politics and preparedness go hand in hand. Our ability to defend ourselves from the perspective of lawfulness is at the mercy of politicians at the local, state, and federal level. Regardless of their apparent misunderstanding of “shall not be infringed”, the assclowns tend to reduce and regulate that which should not be.
While I’m 100% certain there is no political solution for what is coming I nevertheless am active in the political scene and remain aware. As much or as little as my opinion and my vote may have an actual effect on this country I exercise both regardless. I look at it that ANY benefit that is realized buys time.
Time to prepare. Time to get ready. Time to stock up.
Kamala Harris is just one of the current 20 liberal/socialist candidates vying to run for President in 2020. Something that all have in common is there desire to inflict irreparable damage to gun owners. Phrases such as “universal background checks”, “confiscation”, and “gun bans” are commonly used as these nitwits offer solutions to a problem that doesn’t exist.
Check out the interview below with Harris. If you haven’t taken your blood pressure medicine first.
Right now ammunition is very cheap. Firearms are very cheap. Magazines are readily available and, yup – super cheap. Anyone seeing that it is just a matter of time before the political winds shift and our gun rights are trampled need to stock it high and stack it deep.
Right now an AR-15 can be built for less than $300. It’s time.
Lowers, and uppers, and magazines….Oh my!!!
We go thru this kind of crap every election cycle! It will never end. If the Socialist Democraps get elected the we are screwed. This country will even be more divided than it is now. Prepare people!
rc – I think it doesn’t matter who wins the division will increase. If Trump wins Trump Derangement Syndrome will become chronic. If he loses the Right will cry foul and say it is due to voter fraud(and they may be right).
Just do what you have to and don’t talk about ya bidness.. If you have family that aint “woke” then you may want to do some additional planning… When stuff is gone.. it’s gone … just sayin

Right on goinggray58. I’ve been feeling an incredible need to increase my preps lately. Thinking of a time when the “stuff” is gone motivates me.
I continue to hope for one more Supreme Court justice to be seated by Trump and the Republican held Senate. Should Ginsberg reach ambient temperature Trump could turn the Robert’s court decidedly in our favor. That, along with Scalia’s majority opinion in District of Columbia v. Heller (Scalia gave us the legal roadmap) would go a long way in saving our gun rights.
Good point Mr. Gault.
As we all said when Trump was elected, “He has 4 years”. That was our prep time. Some, including me, did not use this time wisely. I now have to catch up. Part of my catching up is my Get Home Bag. It plugs a few gaps in my preps. The next is stock up on magazines and brass. Yep, brass. I reload for my .308. Ammo for the pistols, get it while it’s available.
After this, even though we have had a fairly decent garden and put up a good bit of the produce, I have to do better. I’m already planning next year plus this year’s fall crop. As long as I have power and the freezer, the produce will be good. I also intend to get back to canning meats and stews.
My view if Trump does not win the election, is the first 6 months of a new Democrat will be spent tearing apart everything he has accomplished. First on their list will be gun control and signing the UN Small Arms Treaty. At most we have until maybe June of 2020.
Best to all of you.
Oren
Oren – June of 2021, right?
I can see a complete Liberal controlled Congress within the next 4 years….maybe. Should that take place along with a Trump loss its game over for the 2nd Amendment – and some of the 1st. The Left is becoming more and more radical. The “future” of the Democrat party – it’s amazing the things they say.
You’re right – Trump bought us time. Many of us seeing what is coming are feeling a growing need to prep.
