Division in this country continues to increase and talk of a second civil war is ramping up. While many believe the possibility of a second civil war(CW2) is ridiculous – it’s a fact that more and more people are seeing the possibility. When and who are on each
Much of this division is directly related to politics and socio-economic beliefs. I believe most Americans regardless of there political leanings are fairly common in their beliefs. So, why the increasing division? The media is largely responsible for motivating one group against the other. It is also very true that the belief systems within the Democrat and Republican parties have changed. The Democrat party has swung way to the Left, while the Republican party has slowly moved to the Right. Those on the Left are now suggesting violence against the Right on a regular basis. This is
With the #NeverTrump and #Impeach45 movements gaining ground in the Left, along with the midterm elections fast approaching there is growing concern that a Democrat-controlled Congress will lead to Trump being removed from office. The following video discusses that possibility.
Thoughts?
this rings pretty true, the old saying people are keeping there powder dry and seem to be getting ready again, cooler heads must take over!!!
Divide and conquer have been used since time began when one group thought they could rule over another group. Case in point, the Russian revolution and all the other countries where the people have been lied to. One of the biggest lies is you do not need a gun we can protect you, found out the hard way in Boston in the mid 70’s. I was jumped and when the police showed up I was told they couldn’t doing anything because they didn’t see it happen.
Lets hope and pray it doesn’t happen.If it does the most informed and determined are both sides will be prepared Hopefully there are more American patriots with protection than radical leftists. Lightning
John P – thats an outrage- most people who are mugged do not have a witness.
re:
“civil war”
The definition:
The term ‘civil war’ refers to two or more groups fighting to control one government.
Here is my solution:
Dissolve government.
This elegant ‘compromise’ appeals to me because it solves several problems simultaneously… bloat, corruption, stagnation, tyranny.
And brings to a close that whole pesky ‘avoid foreign entanglements’ business.

…after listening to the video, I have more awareness of the undercurrents which brought about the presidential election results, (maybe not more awareness but it is now framed in words.) It also reinforced my thoughts on the tight-lipped stance most conservative supporters chose when asked to comment in polls or conversation that the MSM gauged their predictions on…sort of the loose lips sink ships thing. Or possibly we were all tired of the motivation behind the questioning AND, unlike the more liberal thinkers, we didn’t feel the need to get in an unproductive “debate” with someone uninterested in WHY we think as we do, but only wanting to change WHAT we think without providing logical reason or respect.
In thinking on the time preceding the revolution in the colonies, i have wondered if England had been given a “do-over” what would have been changed in the approach to policy and practices. Would it have made a difference in the eventual outcome? The colonists who supported the crown eventually embraced the freedom of their new country but why and when did they change their colors? Guess SOME of them did not, but they could go back to England if they found American life not to their liking. (What comparable option to that is available now?) IF they survived that tumultuous time…i have trouble putting the actual numbers and events in context so i truly comprehend what they all lived through. In the event of a civil conflict, i have trouble envisioning not only the role the differing factions will play but just where the government AND military will be working for/against either/any. i cannot see just two “sides” in this possibility. OR will one know their allies since everything will be in flux? What do you all think on the history, OR possible future? Somehow, i think there’s an unseen effector that could blindside one…..
Good to see the conversation going in this community.
…it didn’t feel restful recently and quitting wasn’t happening…
Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats.

@joyce,
“In thinking on the time preceding the revolution in the colonies, i have wondered if England had been given a “do-over” what would have been changed in the approach to policy and practices”
Power is never given, it is always taken.
We are living in interesting times for sure. Great post.
ps
@Rourke,
Forgive me, but it is the $64.000 question if my memory still serves me at the moment. LOL.
And, as to the topic, one of your best.
Kudos to you.
