Thanks JBernDrApt – I have been evaluating that questions regarding vegetarians and animal crackers for quite some time and can see all sides of the issue. My determination is it is truly a moral issue that can only be answered by the vegetarian. Included within that decision is consideration for the type of animal represented within the cracker itself.
Decisions.
I suppose we have talked about some of this lightly.. going gray means not drawing attention .. to be un-noticable or maybe not seeming notice worthy. In my mind that is all about Per Sec (Personal Security).. as in not being chatty overtly about what you have or where.. Not being overly vociferous in negative commentary.
For instance if I say something like.
Our Rich Uncle has various methods through alphabet soups to search whatever is said and keep it for use later for positive law.
That phrase is marginally understandable while not tripping a Prism Protocol to keep it for later inspection or reference. Remember no conversation submitted on-line is truly private. Not to be all tinfoil hat .. just something to remember when you vent.. Hey I lose it and say it anyway occasionally.
So how does one talk plainly ….
A simple answer is encryption or encrypted clients on your devices that google FB etc don’t have access too .. it’s gray from the perspective that the transmissions when you hit send, are just anonymous bits on the internet not recognizable to anyone that draw no attention with a Low Probability of Intercept.. Should someone take the time they’d have to crack it to read it. No one takes the time and energy to do that because we simple aren’t that important.
Not being visible isn’t all that hard… If can can not be like Ron White occasionally.

Question: Can the “HALO” chest seal be folded while in the factory wrap? I am putting together an over average “BooBoo Kit”. The factory wrap is 7 1/2″x10 3/4″.
yes you can but it’s best not to have it folded into a little square – big squares if that makes sense. It’s best to roll it (think fruit roll-up) or ‘fold’ into a u shape to the shape of a pouch for example like in a IFAK.

no questions this week, just kind of hard trying to stay motivated by the lack of participation among other ‘preppers’ in the area. We could have a decently sized network but some are more interested in the secret handshake patriot groups and the rest are just lurkers/lonewolves. I’ve pretty much stopped posting to a local FB prepping group because of it, out of 150ish people only 3-4 reply to anything & it’s usually just a thumbs up.
Well it is a quandary .. I suppose some people are afraid to talk and just practice strict per sec. Then there are those learning, but with nothing to add. I have limited what I say and to whom as well.. but it’s hard to learn if you don’t share what you know, because no one else will if you don’t.
We’ve discussed her and other places the way one might get a group together. Who and how to evaluate them. Levels of commitment being low for some and non-existent for others. Yup.. I hear you. Same in my area. I keep shaking hands, going to likely places and talking and listening.. Every now and them you run into someone you might click with .. For me I hafta think .. hmm 3% .. ok maybe that means I get 97 “no way jose” conversations before I find one good person that will hang in .. OK.. It would still be worth it. I build on that relationship and go get me 97 more no’s. It isn’t personal, and it
its me deciding whether I want them around as well. I ask myself “Do I want this person around my kids? My Wife? Can they be trusted?” ya know? Kinda makes me a little picky .. along what what they know and what we need in skill sets.. Whatever..
The faster I get the no’s the quicker I get done. At the same time I work on being the right person with the right skills.. because maybe they are trying to find me. Either way all I can do is all I can do as well.
Sometimes the water is 2 inches away from the top of the pump and it just feels like nothing is happening.

??? is it that folks are simply not serious.??? Is it that this entire subject of ‘preparation’ is nothing but a casual distraction … for the Majority?

You guys cracked me up tonight- good medicine to laugh !!! As a strict vegetarian our daughter says it all depends upon the ingredients of the animal crackers-but shes admitted to indulging on occasion….smile.See what happens when you are organic beef farmers-your kid turns out to be a vegetarian!!!!

This week I went to a Sears that is going out of business and saved 40 to 60 % on an extra sleeping bag and a new tent (ours finally is worn out and has become a ground cloth/tarp.)
and stocked up on some socks and underwear . ,and fire extinguishers for Christmas gifts.

Lightining: Yes we have. As we are selling the property this July 12th. … I’ll share! IMO it is best to create your own space with in the ‘space’ you reside in. We live, for the next two weeks, in the oldest part of our city… the ‘Historical District’. We had two large ‘safes’ to camo along with our major preps.
We did a lot of measuring and found a space that used to be one of two old coal bins and had been walled off and forgotten back in the 40s. … Lucky Us …
I removed the drywall and left the studs in place. I cut in a door/raised hatchway and double framed it to accept a standard steel door on the inside and a piano hinged ‘camo’ cover on the outter side. We did an extensive cleaning. Painted the floor and added a raised platform for the two 3’x4’x6′ safes. I added custom pallets for our preps and ammo storage. It’ll still sleep 4. Only 5 souls know of it’s existence and one of died in 2013. It has done it’s job for the last 19 years.
I ‘built’ one in our apartment in Granada Hills, Ca. in our house in B.G. Ohio and our house in Maumee, Ohio using the same principles. Measured. Stood back to ‘see’ the sight lines… found the right angles and built the space.. Taking the time and expense to ‘finish’ to match the ‘outer’ surfaces.
You may not have the ‘space’ to modify… Duh… original thought there… Two of our ‘spaces’ were just big enough to hold what we valued and the two of us sitting. One, just what we valued. We picked our next home based partially on installing a safe room. Paranoia…. Crappolla….. just prudent preparations and PerSec…
