So, I’ve really been struggling in a lot of ways over the past few months and the lack of working out consistently plays a big part. I set my alarm last night, got up this morning at 4:00AM, and went to the gym. Not the best workout but better than laying in bed. It’s a start. Tomorrow is another day and I’ll do it again(that’s the plan).
If you look at life as a puzzle with a lot of pieces – this getting up and starting the day right may end up part of my own personal puzzle.
Have a great day everyone.

When you get old enough you get up at 4:00 am anyway.
And 4:20am, then again at around 5:33am and so on and so on….
Just my 2 1/2 cents worth,

Glad your dedicating time for improvement. I get up early just to go on long nature walks while it’s still cool.
No way! My day starts around 8-9 am. That’s just fine for me.
Hey John; name is Kjersten and I’m one of your members and have enjoyed the knowledge you’ve been sharing over the last year and have learned a lot from you.
I don’t have a gallbladder (that thing that helps process fat intake) and I struggle with other medical issues. Add to that being overweight and being out of shape for about 3 years I was a mess. 2 months ago I found Dr Livingood on Instagram and FaceBook and decided to give him a chance. I read his book and got a membership and have applied myself without the cost of a gym. Dr L has me workin hard right in my living room. And the food is out of this world. I’ve lost 12.5 lbs. I have a long way to go but wanted to encourage you to check him out. You might save some gas $ too. Sincerely; fellow Patriot Kj
JR,
Years ago, thank God, before the divorce, when my marriage was falling apart and couldn’t bear to be in the same bed with ‘her’, I would get up at zero dark thirty, go to my garage and work out the weights, pull-ups from the rafters and other things, then shower, get to work by 6am, and when I came home would run the fire trails near my home for ~40 min, sometimes in the waning light of day or in the rain. Most importantly, I kept a journal with my daily workout and my times, heart rate, how my body felt, anything of note. When I was the most tired, awful, crappy and didn’t want to go, I did anyway. Surprisingly, I found those were my best times ever, and the phenomena was repeated often, and I was getting in great shape. So whats my point? You will see your life improve with dedication and of course hard work, so don’t anguish and every effort does result in moving forward with your life. And you WILL feel better as a result of your perseverence and dedication. Hang in there brother.
I have never been a fan of working out as a regiment but I consider my daily life of hauling hay here and there, lifting 50 lb bags of reed around, hoeing and general household chores as my work out. Couple years ago I started feeling guilty about that and then I found this shirt..Couple years ago I started feeling guilty about that and then I found this shirt…

I wake up at 5:30 AM. Go to bathroom, walk dog, go back to bed and sleep as long as I want. Retirement is great!
