Hope everyone had a great weekend. Spent most all day Saturday with Jonny – my oldest son who just turned 18. Had a great time with the two of us going out for a late breakfast, playing some pool, bowling, and a little shopping. Need more days like this.
Due to the above spent very little time on the blog. Well worth it.

Driving around I continued to listed to The Jakarta Pandemic via my Audible app. Fantastic book. I’m enjoying it as it really seems realistic and the main character – Alex Fletcher – is pretty much a normal guy. Great story.
Love listening to audio books. I use my phone and sometimes my computer or tablet. If interested in trying audio books there is a banner down below you can click on and start off with two free books. This is for new customers.

Iran states they will not renegotiate the nuclear deal – no matter what. I do not believe it should be renegotiated it should be cancelled/abandoned/scrapped. That government cannot be trusted to abide by an agreement. The United States should support regime change – which it has not done over the past 8 years.
There are many reasons why so many love their Kindle and Amazon Fire tablets. One huge advantage is you could literally go years without every buying a book to read as there are tons of free eBooks available. Don’t have a Kindle or Fire? No problem. There are apps that can be installed on most any cell phone or computer for free. No excuses!
Today’s Freebies
NOTE: If you see a free Kindle book that your interested in get it now. Prices change often and there is no way to tell how long the book will remain free. Before purchasing a free Kindle book on Amazon make certain the book is still free by making sure the price is $0.00. If it lists a price or says “read for free” or has a price for prime members the book is not free anymore.
Thx for links,
I know I read that but after reading so many hard to remember.
JR, spending more time with yer kids is worth more than anything else. Cherish each weekend and minute you spend with them. I envy you. What I wouldn’t give for one more with my son. May God grant you many, many more with yours. Be careful and stay safe.
Thanks LibertysTeeth
I cant seem to get into audio books, i tend to fall asleep during them. I’ll have to reread jakatra again, it’s been a while since I have read it. i seem to recall that while he was kinda like the average person, the main character rubbed me the wrong way a few times. especially letting people just walk up to the house. i know that I had taken notes to research antiviral drugs and night vision monoculars. heck i read recently that tamiflu really wasn’t much more effective against the flu then common off the shelf medication.
i still don’t get that top prepper sites place, how can sites that haven’t posted in months and some that just link to others work rank so high on that list. i voted every day i could for you.
jh – In the whole scheme of things many of those sights that haven’t posted in months ranked back when they did. Eventually they will be dropped down the list.
Your right about the main character. I just listened to the part where there were people in his house. I wouldn’t have handled it so calmly and to his credit it worked out(in the book of course).
I recently mentioned in a post that I was interested in using colloidal / ionic silver that I make easily at home from some .9999 pure bullion rounds, a DC power source and distilled water. Nobody was interested. Hey I know, it wasn’t some piece of crap trinket, flashlight, or pocket knife that gives this crew erections.
Well Thursday night I was gripped by the flu so severely I wasn’t sure I would live to see the dawn. I felt like I was freezing to death while actually, I was burning up with fever. I shook violently all night long at the bottom of a pile of blankets. Friday did come for me so I dug out my brand new unopened nebulizer and poured a bit of silver solution into the medicine cup, plugged it in and just huffed away. It’s about the most painless medical treatment I can think of. I have done this at least once each day since and though not 100% back to fighting form, I’m going to work this morning taking some regular fishing client out for a charter.
I’m posting this because I want you knuckleheads to get a clue. This stuff can save your life and the lives of your family and it is very inexpensive to set yourself up to have it on hand whenever you need it.
Yup. Silver is a powerful natural anti bacterial. So much so that there are dressings embedded with colloidal silver used by the medical community. Not sure how much good it does on something viral like the flu though. Thanks for posting CT.
My research efforts show silver to be effective against viral and bacterial foes. I wasn’t sure how it might work taking it via a nebulizer but what I’m finding that inhaling atomized silver is the best and fastest way to get it into your system without the problems to deal with when ingesting it. The stomach has lots of salts and enzymes going on which can change the nature of the silver from ionic / colloidal to larger particle sizes which is not good because the body can’t clear out large silver particles like silver nitrates and silver proteins.
Best of all, the nebulized silver has pulled me back out of the grave and pretty quickly.
Well, it sounds like you’ve thought it thru but,
Be careful.
Those large particles have caused a lot of problems:

Yes, articles like that are hit pieces with the intent to discourage the sheeple from using silver solution while dealing out big pharma. we all have to use our best judgement but I can tell you that I have been studying this and making the solutions for several years. My first use for it was with a female kitty that had a propensity urinary tract infections. I brewed the stuff up after much careful reading and added a few ounces to the water dish. I had immediate success on every occasion
Now the old “You’ll turn blue” scare tactic. You would have to be trying to do that or extremely stupid and I will grant you after eight years of Obama, there is no shortage of idiots. But here’s the deal with making a good safe solution. You must never use tap water or any water that isn’t steam distilled. Some idiots even add salt to the water to speed up the reaction which it in fact will do. However you will not end up with colloidal and ionic silver but much larger particles with impurities (which could make you turn blue because the body can’t excrete those. I also believe it’s important to use bullion of high purity such as the Canadian Maple leaf which is .9999 pure. I actually check my water before the brew begins to make sure it reads zero ppm and I usually stop the process at around 15 to 17 ppm by my dissolved solids meter. This is an easy process to learn and do safely yourself. My DC power source is just under 18 volts which seems to work very well.
As I said, we all have to decide what to believe and even some of the dimmer bulbs are discovering that the FDA has been purchased by big pharma to keep you at their mercy. I’ve always been a leader, not a follower.
You’re right Capt – at least I’ll speak for myself I am a “knucklehead”. That had me laughing. I am not overly familiar with colloidal silver as it has been several years since researching it. A friend of mine was largely into it and guilt his own generator. I think I missed your first reference to it so I am using this as a reminder and will delve into it some. I may purchase a generator as I have seen some on ebay and I already have the silver.
Now I use the term “knuckleheads” with affection for the brotherhood. I have a lump on my head for everything I ever learned.
Hey, if you’re like me you might have a basket of power supplies that went to some long defunct and forgotten gizmo. If you do, go through them and check the output voltage. The one I’m using reads to put out 12 volts but it well over-shoots that to almost 18 V when I suspend the bullion in the distilled water with alligator clips. There is a lot of profits being made out there selling the generators but I think that’s a needless expense. I use mason jars (wide mouth) to brew in and always make sure that the clips are never contacting the water or … I might end up with the blues. lol!!! One step I left out is to filter you solution through coffee filter when you are done brewing it and then store it away from light.
We’ve used CS for the ten years along with other herbs and such. Since that time We have not had any illnesses. I consider it my flu shot and take a a bit everyday including my animals. I have a CS generator. AS with anything use moderation, this is old science not new. if you abuse it and take to much you can harm yourself, use common sense. Aspirin/Ibuprofen can cause (bleeding of the brain), Tylenol can (Damage the liver), Cholesterol/hypertension/diabetes drugs have side effects like (Lowering ones libido, damage to kidneys)etc. and yet with al this knowledge many don’t hesitate to take these.
thanks for sharing your experience. For me personally I prefer to use it at the onset of an itchy throat or a sneeze fit. At that point it’s my go too “antibiotic”. I’m really excited though with the results I’ve just had taking it via nebulizer. I hope you are taking pro-biotics if you are taking silver orally on a daily basis. It’s possible that it could take a toll on your “good” intestinal flora.
Some other aspects of my “health insurance” is my gardening. I always have Swis chard, kale, collards, and other stuff going but the two exciting new additions this year is moringa oleifera and ashwagondha. You guys should do a little reading up on those plants. I now take moringa daily as a dehydrated and powdered seasoning. It’s like adding a high end mega vitamin to every meal.
looking at Moringa .. I found a useful tool as well ..

Don’t let the grow range map put you off from growing it. It only grows as a perennial in tropic to sub tropic areas but it grows so quickly you can grow it as an annual and still get your harvest. Lots of people put them in containers that can be hauled into a green house or indoors for the cold periods. The plant is very hardy and often will come back from thee roots when freeze killed to the ground..
We do take moringa powder along other things, I have the seeds (Moringa and Lucena) but haven’t planted them since we are renting and haven’t decided where we want to live permanently. I also take Krill oil that has about 1000mg of “Astaxanthin”, it’s lights out great. I have a compromised back do to some damaged received hitting an LZ pretty hard with a 10-15 mph gust that came out of nowhere, anyway I get back severe spasms from my middle back, not anymore, I am still stiff and tight but without the pain that literally cuts your breath, can’t even sneeze or cough, now I can atleast. we also take collagen powder.
You should at least get your moringa seeds started in pots because they don’t last all that well as far as viability. I actually have a good sized plant that I grew from a cutting in a pot and it is blooming with baby pods on it!
My back has been broken twice so I’m familiar with that kind of grief. I just went through a couple month period of arthritis flare-up between the breaks so I would be interested to hear more of how and what you are treating it with.
Hey Capt. Turbo-glad you are feeling better.Had you gotten a flu shot? We have silver liquid stored and believe its a potent remedy.
When I started getting a head cold-chest bug that was going around I immediately started
taking Astragulus root capsules and quercetin and Vit c daily and I beat the cold
in one week .I agree its crucial for folks to have alternative healing remedies on hand. Lightning
Thanks Lightening. Over the years I ended up getting the flu in spite of having had the flu shot. I began to believe that it was the shot that was giving me the flu. I’m not sure if that is at all true but I decided I was done with them. It has been a decade or more since the flu last grabbed me so this was like a bolt of “lightening” (pardon the pun) out of the blue.
Interestingly enough, it seems that almost everyone I speak to has been hit with this terrible bug so I’m suspecting the version of the flu shot given this year didn’t include this strain. I’m afraid that we will see much more illnesses like this one and even worse ones in the future because of the treasonous acts of the Trojan Horse Muslim usurper intentionally making the border patrol folks stand down as human trash from the south (and Middle East) flooded our country. The frosting on his camel dung cake was the infestation of his “Rapefugees” from Syria.
I would suggest to all that even with the Trump win, this is no time to stop being prepared.
CaptTurbo….agree with you on the silver, (and i would throw in that essential oils are also an underrated treatment option.) Thanks for putting the thought in front of me to continue to pursue PURCHASING the product allowing one to make this effective treatment, (without side effects even!)
On another note, have been using the old fashion boiling water/steam/inhalation deploying Frankincense oil in through nose-out through mouth tented under my high-tech towel to stave off the current respiratory ills making rounds.
We DO tend to gravitate/emphatically laud all the FUN stuff, don’t we. However, don’t think what you put forward was overlooked/forgotten even though there were no replies. (HAPPENS A LOT.) It IS very effective…you KNOW it and in posting about it, the community here knows now too. Do/say what is needed, even when no one is applauding…..
I think I sparked some interest with a few. I think it’s good to be skeptical about things and in this era of fake news being produced by the networks which are under government control, it’s not so easy to know what is the truth. In most areas, the government doesn’t want us to know the truth. Also, sadly there are many who are so apathetic and lazy, the effort of discovery is just too much.
I’m very interested in essential oils but have much to learn. I have tried tea tree oil for earaches with limited success.
On the oils and plant based remedies.. as well as tinctures etc.. There is sooo much trash written.. so which is which… If I don’t see it .. then I don’t trust it. Plants and oils just don’t have any scientific rigor without bias…. The pharma companies have no interest in pursuing that .. so how do we raise the funds and testing money?… I don’t dispute their usefulness, but their use… As you said knowledge, and experience.. Plants are regional, and in another post you mentioned.. sometimes they will grow out of zone with care. People spend lifetimes learning their use.. The trick is separating the lore from the fact. And too what I HAVE used, like food is not an immediate effect like chemicals normally. Some are prophylactic and some are anaphylactic..
I start to research and study and then I get to a few colorful stories and lore and I lose interest.. I guess I woudl like it if they had a way to designate entertainment from more factual.. and then some testimonies.. with medical opinion ..
dunno .. Panax quinquefolia is native to our area.. but I have yet to find any .. maybe I’ll have wander time when I am not working and retired.
Yep…good conversation you kick started 🙂 (literally !) There’s SO much information out there and you are correct in that not all is accurate. In the past few years VERY little of my reading has been fictional…there is just so little time and too much sense of urgency to gather all that i can before…..this information is needed.
i tend to have MANY favorites (oils), focusing on what is needed at the moment. The more experience one has with oils, the more it is evident NO oil is”non-essential”in practice. Multiple/varied uses, most without side effects, as well as huge enjoyment and feelings of wellbeing/being well cared for(ALWAYS a plus in good times or not so good times,) are some of the points that draw me in deeper to not only essential oils, but herbalism also.
One of the MANY reasons this particular site is what i consider my HOME base IS the varied topic and experience based posting.
Lastly, the people…don’t always see eye to eye but i rarely leave without something new…people here are special to me. Special to the point of keeping an informal log so as to be able to pray for you all…now AND in the future if “circumstances” remove the opportunity to gather here electronically. Will always be an important community, even if “disconnected.”
Is there a Bible . Primer/ or encyclopedia that is something definitive for 1.) oils 2.) herbals?
Appreciate the positive comments Joyce. I have an interest in learning more about essential oils, herbs, and colloidal silver. Need to invest some time.
My initial startup with herbs was through books….MANY great ones available. Rosemary Gladstar’s “Medicinal Herbs” and “Herbal Recipes” are a basic, doable and informative place to start. Online, i gravitate to “Learning Herbs” where John/Kim Gallagher and Rosalee de la Foret teach, guide and cheer on their students who range from beginning/curious to professionals. Deer Nation Herbs is another among many available online sites i find accessible to my novice ability.
Essential oils can be another animal since you will find SO much of the information tied to the companies that produce/market them. The focus for me is to not only investigate the oils application but also make sure my purchases are a good quality without the HUGE price tag that is often inflated for profit. You do get what you pay for though….it is a hard thing to balance.
i DO wish there were as simple as a primer/complete volume of information for these two subjects. They are, however, VERY COMPLEX fields of study/information that even the “experts” say they are still learning about. Those of us who grew up with a grandparent/parent/mentor practicing ANY degree of usage of God’s gracious gift of plants are truly blessed to subconsciously understand these arts are not only effective but accessible to us to use.
Thanks Joyce…I have the ressources on my to do list then ..
The thing I find hard is the variations in naming and what it does..
I am sure you read LOTR .. there is a section that explains my predicament..
They were looking “to gather an herb called “athelas””..
The herb master knew of no such herb ..
They later learned in that area it had been called “Kingsfoil”…
The Herbmaster said he knew of it, and where it could be found, but they had no use for it as it had no “virtue”.
If you read the book you know that it saved the day for a few compelling characters.
It in essence (pun intended) took away darkness and brought the glimmer of hope
Antipsychotic ? 🙂
If it were not fictional we could use a few acres of that… maybe put in in the congressional water fountains.. ahem!
And that is it exactly. While Genus species is definitive, common names can change in as little distance as county to county. Then one plant we grow that is small and in pots in TN with 6 in leaves or dark green , grows wild and is twenty foot tall with 18 inch leaves in FL. Hence naming and physical variations. Even the field guides are lacking.
And as you said oils and tinctures as well I suppose, are an altogether different but equally arcane, if not mystical subject..
done rambling .. Let me finish my Ham license and I’ll start on this next.. sigh!!
Thanks again
GG58
UMMM…ya…Ham licensing….MY next summit to pursue and pretty daunting for me. All the recommendations put forth here have been encouraging and made it seem more doable. Onwards, by all means….
joyce – I am using an app on my phone to learn the answers to the questions for the ham test. Takes a lot of practice but I can see it working. Hoping to take the test in a few weeks.
I’ll take my Technician and General Tests in 6 weeks… What app are you using ?
We love audio books too! Redeems the hour we spend going back and forth to work each day. In Colorado, we four wheeled the entire state along with Moab next door while listening. Down here in Louisiana, it helps with the state pastime–mowing grass!
yup .. he’s 18 and will be gone before you know it.. and it happens all at once. Kinda hurts.. I was more ready for the second one and third because I knew what to expect. So take some trips, just you and him. It’ll be a couple years before he gets his brain back .. 25 or so.. Then you get to figure out how to balance Dad and Friend with another young man as a coach.. After they get used to their own rules .. ours count less.. But you’ll hear what he does when you’re not there and know you did ok .. and is using what you taught.. makes it easier.
Picked up some of the books… thx
If by support you mean wipe them off the face of the earth and replace them .. well yeah.. “There’s no living with bugs” – Tombstone I think .. anyway you can’t live with a nation state whose stated goal is to either convert you or kill you, and leave you country a pile of rubble, not to mention their other reprehensible practices.
Obviously I have an opinion .. I’ll stop ranting but won’t apologize ..
Maybe you guys can collaborate on a Colloidal Silver post.. with some medical links etc etc.. I have no problem with the concept.. I just don’t know how or why it works .. and what to NOT do is a big one, if a NOT DO exists.
GG58
I tried to list all the do NOT dos already. The big ones are never use any water source other then steam distilled water and as I mentioned it’s so important I actually check the water before I start each batch with a dissolved solids meter to make sure it reads zero ppm. The other area of top importance is to use pure bullion such as sovereign silver coins, my choice being the one ounce Canadian Maple leaf and be sure your alligator clips only touch the bullion and not the water.
There is a lot available on the internet but be careful as there is almost as much bad info there as you get from the network “news” people. Read enough so you get comfortable at recognizing who knows their butt from their elbow and who doesn’t. You can go the easy route and buy a pricey generator if you wish or do like I did which was kinda fun using n old DC power source which works like a charm for free. Give it a shot. The stuff has lots of great uses even if you are too timid to use it as medicine, one of which is wiping down food prep surfaces and cutting boards.
As for using it as medicine most people take it internally but I think it’s better to nebulize it and inhale it then swallow it for several reasons. Interaction with salts and enzymes of the stomach could change the particle size of some of it and another reason is that the silver is very effective at killing single celled bacteria including the good gut flora. Therefore by my logic taking it via a nebulizer seems the best way to go.
While it might not interest many or seem like too much of a hassle to some, we all come here to learn about how to best get through disasters or whatever should the stuff hit the fan. Once you have mastered this simple practice you will be empowered with real medicine that is known to cure HIV, flesh eating viruses, and pretty much anything Obama’s “Rapefugees” are bringing into the country. Did you know that until big pharma burst onto the scene with penicillin colloidal silver was used to cure syphilis? Yep, that and much more. It was the original antibiotic but there isn’t profit to be found in it because big pharma can’t patent an element.
JR- Happy you and your son had some shared special time together.Thats the stuff memories are made of…. Lightning
