There’s a lot of talk about a dark winter fast approaching. Who knows what the next few months will provide let alone the next few years. Basic preparedness continues to just make sense having plenty of beans, bullets, and band-aids on hand.
The term Dark Winter is being used by different people to have different meanings. Some are referring to a large increase in COVID cases and corresponding lockdowns. Others are referring to further supply chain issues, shortages, and economic issues including rising fuel and food prices.
The term “Dark Winter” was used in an exercise portraying a “fictional scenario depicting a covert smallpox attack on U.S. citizens. The scenario is set in 3 successive National Security Council (NSC) meetings which take place over 2 weeks. Former senior government officials played the roles of NSC members; media representatives were among the observers and played journalists during the mock press conferences. The exercise was held at Andrews Air Force Base, Washington, DC.” See this Youtube video for more information. Interesting.

Going to make a few changes over in the Patriot Brigade Member area. I’ll start with transferring “Our American Exit Strategy” entries into the new Blog. I’ll backdate each post so everything is in order. Main reason behind this is to make it so that members can comment if they would like.
As always thank you for the support.

I wrote a few months ago that I was working towards disconnecting my relationship with Amazon as they have made some policies that I simply find, well, less than ideal. That is easier said than done. One of the main issues revolves around finding alternative sources and methods to replace what income I have received from Amazon with other sources. As an affiliate, I get a couple percent of all sales that people make who follow my links to Amazon at no additional cost to them. While I thoroughly enjoy connecting with like-minded folks, I use this as a secondary stream of income as well. Website hosting, domain registration, servers, etc. are not free. Since opening my own store here on 1776 I’ve expanded the product selection and continue to do so on a regular basis as well.
I continue to expand my relationships with other companies to reduce dependency on Amazon. We the People holsters is just the latest. They make some awesome holsters and I’ll be reviewing some in the very near future.

There are many reports of “far-right, anti-government” groups being created and growing in popularity across the country. While I completely understand why and largely agree with the beliefs many of these groups have – there are risks in associating with any of them. Hasn’t it long been a major obstacle for survivalists and preppers to connect, network, and form mutual assistance groups? It has and I’ve seen it personally as many are so suspicious of others that they end up remaining a lone wolf rather than becoming part of a “survival family” and taking advantage of the many benefits to group inclusion.
Take care all

JR,
About 2 months ago I picked up WeThePeople IWB holster for my Colt Defender and also their buckleless gun belt. The belt replaces a 5.11 belt which although very durable and thick enough, I could never quite get the final adjustment to stay tight as I wished. Always slightly loose, too bad. But I shoot IDPA and needed a belt that functioned as required, hence the purchase of the WEP belt. It is very good, closes via an industrial velcro of sorts. Very stiff and great support although threading through pants loops takes a bit of time. Not a belt I would wear everyday, although I could. Extremely well made. It is built like the proverbial brick s**thouse. The kydex holster is quite diminutive in nature but fits all my requirements of snug fit, minimal bulk and adjustable as to tilt and depth, full coverage of the trigger well. I alternate between my Alien Gear IWB and this one, the AG has a wider profile base and works very well for security, access etc, but sometimes I don’t want all excess width, so use the WEP as an alternative.
I am quite pleased with this company’s products. Just though I would share this as you are getting ready to do your own review. Take care.
The long dark winter has many connotations with Covid and all of it’s problems at the top of the list.We can make it thru if we can stay healthy.
We just found a new tool in the fight. If you must be in a crowd try this.
#1 Betadine Nasal Spray-Used before and after being in a crowd
#2 Sonicare Mouthwash/Gargle-Used before and after being in a crowd.
Both items are pricey and the Betadine comes from Canada with long
delivery time. The Sonicare is really stout and will get your attention. All the
better for killing virus cooties.
FYI: The National Institutes of Health has now approved the use of Ivermectin as a treatment for Covid.Strangely there is still reluctance
in parts of the medical community.
Get all you can while you can to stay warm as severe heating shortages are coming.
Normal Chuck,
Here is an article by Dr. Joseph Mercola describing how to nebulize hydrogen peroxide for use against cv19. You only require ordinary 3% solution available anywhere, and the dilution instructions are in the link. When nebulize, be sure to use it with a mask rather than a mouthpiece so it is distributed into your oropharynx area. Also, you can just take the 3% solution and dilute it in half with water and gargle with it. Cheap and effective. Since all this nonsense has been going on, whenever I go to my dentist, they have their patients swish before any treatment/exam begins with a commercial product, but it is just flavored dilute hydrogen peroxide solution, and making your own is quite inexpensive.
https://www.ezekieldiet.com/dr-mercola-discusses-hydrogen-peroxide-nebulization/
Note, dilute the hydrogen peroxide as you need it, it is a perishable item as it degrades over time and by exposure to heat or light, hence the opaque container it comes in. BTW, it probably also whitens your teeth a bit also, an added bonus.
Hope this helps you. Take care.
Thanks Ralph: We will give it a try.Currently we use a nebulizer with a solution of Albuterol and Ipratropium Bromide for COPD so maybe we should
check with our Respiratory Doctor.
I like the idea of using the Benedril Nasal Spray because it fits in my pocket
for quick use after being around people.
