Folks…..we are living in absolutely unprecedented times. I’ve been on this Earth for 53 years and have never seen anything like it. For those of us who have been preparing for decades, we have looked at numerous things that may happen and taken action to mitigate those events to keep ourselves and our families safe. These modern times today seem to be a perfect storm – like a hurricane that meets a volcano – and we have very little time to prepare.
I hope I’m wrong and just being an alarmist.
While I place little faith in the FBI nowadays, I believe that their most recent statements regarding internal terrorist threats make sense and are real. Our southern border has allowed millions – yes millions – of undocumented individuals from all over the world to enter this country and occupy our communities. It is simply a matter of statistics that some percentage of these folks mean us harm and are planted from countries that absolutely hate us. Yes – terrorists that want you and every member of your family dead for simply being an American. Taking out the grid would be one way to destroy America.
I’ll leave the information below for you to review and vet. I am telling you that you need to stay frosty and be ready. I can tell you even though I live in a fairly remote area I carry everywhere I go. Walking into a Walmart in Nowhere, Maine I’m carrying just in case. Be vigilant and be strong. Something is liable to happen somewhere and I pray you are ready and safe.
The following is a portion of Director Wray’s opening statement to the Senate Homeland Security and Governmental Affairs Committee:
“Discussions about the most-pressing national security threats and what we’re doing to tackle them are always important, but this year’s hearing is especially well-timed given the dangerous implications the very fluid situation in the Middle East has for our homeland security. The reality is that the terrorism threat has been elevated throughout 2023,but the ongoing war in the Middle East has raised the threat of an attack against Americans in the United States to a whole other level.“
“We assess that the actions of Hamas and its allies will serve as an inspiration the likes of which we haven’t seen since ISIS launched its so-called caliphate years ago. In just the past few weeks, multiple foreign terrorist organizations have called for attacks against Americans and the West. Al-Qaeda issued its most specific call to attack the United States in the last five years. ISIS urged its followers to target Jewish communities in the United States and Europe. Hizballah has publicly expressed its support for Hamas and threatened to attack U.S. interests in the Middle East. And we’ve seen an increase in attacks on U.S. military bases overseas carried out by militia groups backed by Iran.”
“Here in the United States, our most immediate concern is that violent extremists—individuals or small groups—will draw inspiration from the events in the Middle East to carry out attacks against Americans going about their daily lives. That includes not just homegrown violent extremists inspired by a foreign terrorist organization but also domestic violent extremists targeting Jewish or Muslim communities. We’ve seen that already with the individual we arrested last week in Houston, who’d been studying how to build bombs and posted online about his support for killing Jews. And with the tragic killing of a 6-year-old Muslim boy in Illinois in what we’re investigating as a federal hate crime.”
“But as I said a few moments ago, on top of the HVE (homegrown violent extremist) and DVE (domestic violent extremist) threat,we also cannot—and do not—discount the possibility that Hamas or another foreign terrorist organization may exploit the current conflict to conduct attacks here on our own soil.We’ve kept our sights on Hamas and have multiple ongoing investigations into individuals affiliated with that foreign terrorist organization.”

I wish we didn’t have a totally corrupt FBI these days. We need good people running that outfit.
I too carry all the time in my locale and I participate in firearm matches that supersede the square, flat ranges that most go to. It is imperative to train. Learn what you can and cannot perform, improve your proficiency. I see at every match practiced, seasoned, experienced shooters who make mistakes, misses and have malfunctions, all of it. If you think that you can emulate John Wick, you are delusional. I place no faith in our national government nor its agencies anymore, they are traitorous in every aspect. We will have mass casualty events here, of that there is no doubt. The elites have created the conditions for turmoil. I expect the electrical grid to become quite unusable for many and with that realization, loss of water, food, basics of life will become unavailable, life will become tenuous, hard and difficult. When one sees the chaos fomented in the blue hives currently, remember that is with running water, food, EBT and ATM’s functioning. The inhabitants will suffer greatly and many will perish. Many. It brings me much sorrow to write this but it is the truth. What mobs and hate do not destroy the elements and fate will remove most of who are remaining. I also believe that when people realize they have been betrayed there will be a great reckoning to befall those who orchestrated this evil. Betrayal is one of the worst of emotions and those whom are wronged will seek vengeance upon the perpetrators. What lies ahead after will require strength, resilience and a vision for a better future. It is a good time to pray. Vaya con Dios.

Sadly, your assessment sounds pretty accurate Ralf. I think I might have mentioned this some long time ago but accurate air rifles and pistols are the ideal way to keep in practice with shooting. I really love the RWS LP8 Magnum pistol for handgun practice. You can shoot all day for pennies. Seriously impressive accuracy.

Prepare to defend yourself, family and property by using ANY means necessary. That means NOTHING is off the table and there are NO rules of engagement. A threat that is not totally eliminated is still a threat. The only way to survive in a savage world to be more savage than your opponent.
If my family – my loved ones – my friends – are threatened nothing will be off the table.
You had better stay within the rules of engagement. I do agree that when a situation arrives where you are justified to engage, engage like a pissed off Grizzly Bear.
