From the Desk of John Rourke

My regular posting schedule has been interrupted this week. Super busy. Will get back on it next week including the regular Jericho posts on Wednesday’s.

Alot has been on my mind. I am feeling an overwhelming need to step up my preps as quickly as possible. Paranoia? I hope so. Who knows – maybe 10 years from now I’ll be playing with my grandkids and everything is just fine. Not taking any chances  -I suggest you don’t either.

Things progressing well with group preps and hitting new levels of readiness as well as new members. Timing couldn’t be better.  Retreat location is set. Supplies – such as food and fuel – are soon to be pre-staged for several members. Although things are going well multiple backup plans are a must.

Another area I frequent is in Georgia at my brothers place. This is certainly an alternate bug out location and supplies must be pre-staged there as well.

I published Part 2 of my American Reformation series on a Friday recently. Friday being a low traffic day if you missed it check it out HERE.

I picked up a Hi-Point 9mm carbine a few months ago. It came in very rough condition as the previous owner screwed a picatinny rails into the stock. I have considered just dumping it off on someone else but I have it and it is off the books. Need some magazines and do some shooting with it.

Wow, what a beautiful looking dog. Envious about the group coming together. I had a hi point carbine when it first came out and surprised the heck out of me with it’s accuracy, it did like the heavier 124gr FMJs though.

Agreed, beautiful dog. Not much going on here either, did order 6 more #10 cans of food from Food Insurance. They have a good sale right now. Trying to vote early but lines are long here in GA. Hope they are Trump voters! Concerned for our freedom in 2017!

I have the High Point .40 carbine and absolutely love it. Fun little rifle to shoot. Mine is dead on accurate out to 40-50 yards.

      1. Tim says:

Of course it’s accurate further than that, it’s not my reach out and touch someone rifle though. Just saying that at 50 yards and iron sights I can keep a real tight 2″ group. I am sure others can do better than that also, but my point was it is just a fun little rifle to shoot.

JR, you’re not being paranoid. I think all of us foresee a pretty bad time when the Hildabeast gets in. I’ll yank out ALL of my assets which are presently in an IRA and the savings account. It may be stupid to have that kind of money here in the house, but I feel safer with it here than in an account or the bank especially. All other preps will continue as is. Weapons etc. are ready. Food stocks are low, but will be built up shortly. The only thing I have not worked on is the hand pump (Buffalo stainless double action) at my well. With that in place, I can hand pump water into the house via the existing irrigation line from the pump to the garden. Working on the plans to harden the homestead as much as possible. Looks to me that Trump has all kinds of accusers who are coming out of the woodwork after so many years. I wonder how much the Democrats are having to pay for their “timely” surfacing?
And by the way, I wonder what the supporters from both camps will do once the votes are tallied and the Electoral College finally selects a president. Especially if the popular vote does not tally with the Electoral tally. What a mess.

I’m amused at the comments all over the interweb proclaiming their readiness for this election to end, so…”things can go back to normal”. As if counting votes will make it all go away, it won’t. Yes Rourke, there is an edginess in the air. Look closely, what it really is is an open palmed slap across your maw. Things are different now, the old normal is gone.

What we have witnessed over the last months will not be forgotten. The corruption, manipulation, scheming, the intimidation, the fraud, all laid bare. The voter fraud videos and wikileaks dumps prove what was long suspected. They will continue to poke us in the eye for a very long time.

It’s clear that all the reasons, real or imagined, for not acting, for not lashing out, all that have held us back, are falling away. The country is a powderkeg, the fuse is lit.. we didn’t light it, they did.

Something is going to happen, the only question is what? We may fold? The American Redoubt might pick up steam. We might take our beating and whimper away…I don’t think so.

Something is coming, is it s lite rain? Or a hailstrum……

      1. John Gault says:

Yes, of course, ignorance is what has allowed it all to succeed. We can be sure of little today. The sun will rise and set, there will be great days and bad, and “events” will lay the course. What those events will be and what they will bring is unknown, but they will come. So prepare, and enjoy life…..

Jake is beautiful. I think all of us feel uncertain about things. Regardless of the election I don’t see much changing until we clean house (and senate too)! It will take something new emerging. I’m not prepared where I need to be. I hope my family will come together and form the group we would require; at least enough to stir things up a lot. Ordered some more Mountain House, hope it arrives. – Keep Looking UP
That’s where the help comes from!

Rourke and everyone- yes these are very tumultuous times.Following your gut isnt paranoid its a survival tool. Someone down on our
road put a large shipping container in plain view-with vents circulating air ..I may stop by and introduce myself. We are yearning for a small group but seems as if it will be family. I may just drop them a note in their mailbox-inviting them to call if they wish to discuss prepping. Whats your advice re: this Rourke and others?I cannot imagine that this container is being used for anything else except prepping.
Heard from John P he and his family are safe after Hurricane Matthew with some minor damage. I am praying hard that Trump gets in. Lightning

Trump is going to be our next President! Have to think positive. No matter what they throw at him he will still get my vote and millions of others think the same way! Still prepared if the outcome is not what we all want.
