VIDEO: New IRS Reporting to Hurt Side Businesses

You may have heard about the new way that the IRS will be monitoring income from “side hustles” and such.  Another example of government continuing to grow larger and larger and get involved in every aspect of your life. This will affect me as well as I sell things on this website and will have to look at the financial implications of this new reporting. The bottom line for me is there are millions of people out there with side businesses trying to get something going – and it will become more expensive to do so as well as provide a disincentive for people to even attempt to go into business for themselves.

I’d like nothing better than to take all my money out of the bank and do nothing but cash transactions. Unfortunately – at least for me – that is not realistic. As someone in the market to purchase land and potentially retreat property, bank financing will likely be required.

    couple thoughts
One .. being off grid altogether AFTER you had an electronic footprint is “fishy” unless ur dead.
Two .. Until they take an active role in all the money leaving the US South and East (mid east) .. Zello, Western Union, dwali… etc I don’t care what they want and probably not then.
Three .. Side hustles should be cash if it is a side hustle.. Or it’s a second Job.
Four .. Barter is fine unless you can’t carry or transport/store whatever it is.
Five … I am sick to death of being bled dry and will stem the flow in whatever method I deem necessary…Legal is not always moral or fair.. there is only so much of that red stuff in me (as a metaphor) before I am dead and that is not in my best interests
