Generally, it’s this time of year I think about the coming year and set goals and objectives. This year I will be doing the same, however, I’m setting the timeline through the first six months of 2021. With the ongoing volatility and uncertainty, I do not feel comfortable to be able to accurately project what goals I can accomplish for the entirety of 2021. From the perspective of forecasting the future – I’ve pretty much sucked over the past decade. Regardless – I’ll continue to give it my best shot.
I’m at a point now that I’m very focused on the end game – which is to get to a position where I can get in the woods and be living my own version of the American Exit Strategy. To do this as quickly as possible focus has to be on debt reduction and savings. At the same time, I’ll continue to prep, although, I am close to where I want to be(for now). Securing secondary and tertiary streams of income will also be required as relocation to the type of area I consider ideal will limit job opportunities.
Throughout 2020 I’ve been in and out of the gym. Right now – I’m in. Like millions of others dropping 20 pounds would be good and improving my health is essential. Far too often thousands of dollars are spent on preps all the while an expanding waistline and clogged arteries occur. Doesn’t make much sense but yeah – I’ve been guilty. I bench 245 this morning and felt like I could have gotten it 2-3 times if I had a spotter(I didn’t). This isn’t too far off my PR of 285.
So – what does 2021 hold?
Hell if I know. Alien invasion? Vampires? Economic calamity? Continued attacks against our rights? Stock market crash? All of the above?
Maybe.
Maybe everything will be just fine and it will be all palm trees and ocean breeze, unicorns and butterflies. Maybe 2021 will come in and out like a barrel full of monkeys trying to hump a doorknob.
Any predictions?

I feel that in the year to come many liberals will be “satisfied” with the simple fact that their chosen candidate won. They will either get restless about lack of action or continue with the status quo. If they get restless there may be more protest, aka looting and rioting. If they start ignoring things that are happening or not happening it will be for the simple fact that if a democrat is doing it it is fine. Even if Trump or a Republican did the same thing the world would be on fire. I am thinking that ignorant bliss will fall over those who voted for Biden because that is how the media will make them feel. Those who are concerned about potential laws and policies that will interfere with our constitutional rights will continue to be on alert and prepare. By prepare I mean that they will prepare in a way that they see fit for them. Whether they get together and form groups to tackle government type issues or they choose to prepare to be self sufficient, or maybe both.
Maybe this election and the “results” will have Patriots rise up and become stronger. Maybe they will even form a different party that is even more right than that of the current Republican party. It seems as the more left the left gets the further right the right gets.
As for me I really want to focus on getting to a location that can be both a home a retreat. I want to live as much off the grid as possible while still being able to work as a nurse in some capacity and continue to focus on my health and fitness. Best of luck to everyone in the year to come and have a very Merry Christmas!
I was looking at my preps again (I try to do this monthly). Except for replacement of items used, unless we add to the “in-residence” family, we are good on food. There are still a few areas I want to “beef-up” with some freeze dried stuff, but no more massive quantities (looking for sales now – there are a few showing up).
I have been reviewing my ammo needs, and I find myself looking at “thinning the herd”. .223/5.56 is going to be 55 gr and 75/77 gr, so the 62 gr is going away. 9mm is going to 124 gr and 45 ACP is 185 gr. So the 115 gr and the 230 gr are looking for new homes. Revolvers are good. Misc calibers are down to a 50 cal can of handgun and another of rifle.
Getting older, we are going with 20 gauge vs. 12. So, except for my hunting double and appropriate ammo, the “tactical” guns and ammo are going away.
All this would be easier if they didn’t close down almost all of the gun shows around here.
Vehicles are at 90+% as far as tires and maintenance goes. The house is paid for and minor repairs/upgrades are on going as planned. Medical/dental is up to date and OTC meds are squared away.
We are still looking at another house/property outside of town. On going as land is only staying on the market for 2-3 days. And is priced “stupid” expensive for what you get.
Note: A blogger I know, and I just ran into a similar problem with commercial canned goods with a high water content. I got mine up against and outside wall, his got too cold, too often. We both lost product that we really didn’t have to if we were inspecting it more often. Take advantage of our negative experience and check your stuff!
For 2021 and beyond, my wardrobe is a gold and purple toga.
Practical sandals occasionally grace my tootsies.
My adoring kitchen staff prepare my wonderful nutritious meals such as peeled grapes and lamb with blackberry jelly.
As I lovingly gaze from my veranda upon my productive farms and other organic properties, the magnificent vista swells my humble heart.
I welcome visitors with open arms as we exchange tasty gifts.
My adoring staff prepare magnificent meals so my guests can relax as they share hilarious tales of their adventures traveling the world.
We belly-laugh, we wipe tears as they cascade down our cheeks.
And each time one of us is under the hilarious delusion we are finished laughing, somebody catches the eye of another, and the belly-laughs continue until we can barely breathe.
Life is grand!
Oh, and chocolates are included.
Just a heads up gang:

Things are deteriorating rapidly.
I can behind that plan! Especially the chocolates!
Good stuff everyone! I am making my list, checking it twice and placing orders as the list is finished. With my health can’t do to much but doing what I can. Wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Blessed New Year. Keep Looking Up
John: As I am sure you and many of our friends already know the ass wipes at YouTube have censored and deleted Dr.Martensons valuable presentation on the treatment of the COVID disease with Ivermectin. I will not spend another second of time cussing social media or the main stream media. Just know that truth will win.
Dr.Martensons website is PeakProsperity.com and he is up and running with everything we should know about Ivermectin. Anyone can go to his site and play a little catch up on this on this life saving medicine.
Another advocate of this treatment is Dr.John Campbell. He is a university medical professor and practicing physician in England. You can watch his informational videos
on YouTube. They are extremely detailed in the benefits of the protocol of treatment
using Ivermectin.
Dr. Pierre Kory a noted practicing ICU physician and Pulmonologist recently testified
before the Congressional Committee on Homeland Security. His impassioned plea was brilliant and the word he used to describe Ivermectin was “Miracle”.
So I guess that my goal and plan for 2020-2021 is get as many folks as possible to look
at the information and data and then to make an informed decision that may be life saving.
There are some big fights coming, the most important is the one to stay alive.
JP get ahold of me about thinning the heard out, I’m in Florida but we could look at shipping 239-878-5870. Thanks.
John, Thanks for the offer. I’ve got 2 problems(?).
#1. Not being a dealer, I really have no way to ship ammo in quantity.
#2. I sent a list with a friend, who was at a show last weekend. About an hour after I sent in the post, I got a call from him introducing me to a guy here in MT who wanted some. After I emailed him my list, he is coming Friday to get it all.
But, again, thanks for the offer.
No problem,
I kind of figured you would have to be John’e on the spot for that anyways.
Appreciate you getting back to me on that. Was really just hoping you would say you weren’t that far, I don’t mind taking a little drive 6 or 7 hours for a jump on prep supplies
John:
Depending upon exactly where you are, if you kept your foot in it, averaged 70 MPH it would probably take you 30 hours each way.
JP
Fort Myers, it’s 14 hours of all Florida by way of the panhandle. Lots of deserted islands with no power, and lots of rich people have very big sale boats here who live up north, it’s kinda a EMP wet dream senecio really…. boats with on board desalination plants, dam fish jump in the boat with you, no other people as far as the eye can see… is it the end of the world or a extended Bahamas vacation… what’s normalcy bias? Sounds good in theory
Fort Myers? We are neighbors, Been guiding fishing trips out of Sanibel Marina for 40 years. 🙂
Lol, I had the same thing happen on a game I played with members from around the world and one of the 100 members in my alliance lived two miles from me, we became good friends! Well Capt we should get together for coffee or lunch? Are you on the telegram app?1776-secure is the group name, download the app, join the group it’s a group of like minded people we talk about preps, goals, politics, whatever we want really. Also give me a call or text, let’s hook up, there’s strength in numbers. 239-878-5870
Sorry man. I don’t team up with losers who need ammo. Baaahahaha!!! Just kidding. I will be in touch. 😉
Hey, to supplement my ammo needs I just bought another (I’m an addict) air rifle yesterday and ordered 5000more pellets in .22 cal.
https://www.airgundepot.com/gamo-swarm-maxxim-g2-air-rifle-22-caliber.html#AGD-527310623
Naturally the day after I bought this from Airgundepot, Pyramidair has a 15% off sale going on so you can actually get this for 10.00 cheaper now there. I’ really want the Swarm Magnum (at 15% off) but it’s not in stock.
Lmfao 🤣 don’t misunderstand me when I want to buy “more” ammo, I’m more of a addict than a last minute buyer myself as well, I have four air guns as well I see a range day brewing soon 😉 lol.
Well, crap. I’m just too weak. Since I posted that last link I went and bought another one, The Swarm Magnum in .22. Pyramyd has a 15% off code until 3:00 PM today so hurry if you want a new tow.
This one is back-ordered but it’s worth the wait. This rifle is claimed to give 975 fps with lead pellets and has a 10 shot magazine.
Yeah, I think we need to have a range day. 😉

CaptTurbo:
I bought a .22 cal GAMO rifle several years ago, along with about 5k of pellets. Back around Sandy Hook time frame, I think. Back when small game ammo was just not around. With that expansion chamber on the end, it is REAL quiet. Between getting that and threading my .22 auto loader that does, short/Long/Long Rifle the neighborhood cats got the memo and not have been outside our windows at night anymore.
Be careful there pal. A suppressor is perfectly legal on an air rifle but the moment you mount it on a firearm you need a Class 3 stamp or you are a felon. Not worth messing around IMHO. I do love suppressed air rifles. They are awesome!
CT:
Thanks, but I have one (stamp). Bought back in the day when I had money for that sort of thing.
A stamp is specific to a particular weapon or in this case, suppressor. I have a Class 3 stamp too but that doesn’t permit me to play gunsmith with suppressors.
CT:
Again, you are correct. And I’m legal.
JP in MT: If you are ever in the Flathead leave me a message here. Coffee maybe?
NormlChuck:
I’ll keep it in mind. I enjoy coffee with LMI.
Will do.
