End of Year Thoughts

Generally, it’s this time of year I think about the coming year and set goals and objectives. This year I will be doing the same, however, I’m setting the timeline through the first six months of 2021. With the ongoing volatility and uncertainty, I do not feel comfortable to be able to accurately project what goals I can accomplish for the entirety of 2021. From the perspective of forecasting the future – I’ve pretty much sucked over the past decade. Regardless – I’ll continue to give it my best shot.

I’m at a point now that I’m very focused on the end game – which is to get to a position where I can get in the woods and be living my own version of the American Exit Strategy. To do this as quickly as possible focus has to be on debt reduction and savings. At the same time, I’ll continue to prep, although, I am close to where I want to be(for now). Securing secondary and tertiary streams of income will also be required as relocation to the type of area I consider ideal will limit job opportunities.

Throughout 2020 I’ve been in and out of the gym. Right now – I’m in. Like millions of others dropping 20 pounds would be good and improving my health is essential. Far too often thousands of dollars are spent on preps all the while an expanding waistline and clogged arteries occur. Doesn’t make much sense but yeah – I’ve been guilty.  I bench 245 this morning and felt like I could have gotten it 2-3 times if I had a spotter(I didn’t). This isn’t too far off my PR of 285.

So – what does 2021 hold?

Hell if I know. Alien invasion? Vampires? Economic calamity? Continued attacks against our rights? Stock market crash? All of the above?

Maybe.

Maybe everything will be just fine and it will be all palm trees and ocean breeze, unicorns and butterflies. Maybe 2021 will come in and out like a barrel full of monkeys trying to hump a doorknob.

Any predictions?
