STATUS REPORT: Election Less Than Two Weeks Away, 2021 Within Sight

Every week we provide insight on events as they develop and transpire across America. In these unprecedented times, it’s difficult to grasp the complexity of everything that’s going on. We are not a news agency and make no claims to be experts on the topics discussed. What is absolutely certain is we are investing time to research information with a quest for truth using facts, logic, and some common sense thrown in.

COVID-19

The spreading of COVID-19 continues with the number of cases and deaths worldwide increasing daily.

Here are the numbers as of October 23rd, 2020:

Global Confirmed Cases: 41,798,042

Global Deaths: 1,138,696

Global Recoveries: 28,392,918

US Confirmed Cases: 8,411,262

US Deaths: 223,059

US Recoveries: 3,353,056

US Active Cases: 4,835,147

Commentary: Looking at the number of COVID deaths on a daily basis the trend has turned upward slightly since the beginning of October. The trend had been consistently lowering week after week since the end of August.

ECONOMY

The Coronavirus pandemic continues to be directly affecting the economy. Many businesses across the nation have closed….and many are still closed. Reopening is happening at different levels and even seen some movie theaters are starting to reopen. Businesses of all sizes including manufacturing plants down to small mom & pop shops feel the effect. Some industries have seen a spike in business, while others have been decimated. Limits on the number of people allowed in businesses continue to be widespread, and mandated masks are common.  Government-mandated practice varies depending on the state and area. Florida has ended all restrictions while other states are still locked down.

CommentaryThe economy continues to rebound even with continued struggles in numerous markets. The country wants to be back to normal. Trillions of dollars from the Federal government has been injected into the economy and no doubt has had a positive effect.

POLITICS

Much of the divide that is present in the nation is directly correlated to the divisive political environment currently in existence. Beyond healthy debate or even normal agenda-driven bias, the level of aggressive and purposely damaging action taken by Progressive politicians and groups is at an all-time high.

  • A huge story was published by the New York Post regarding Joe Biden’s son – Hunter Biden. It appears that there is significant evidence that Joe Biden was – at a minimum – caught lying regarding his knowledge of Hunter’s business in Ukraine and China. It appears Hunter was paid to try to influence and gain access to his father representing a private business. Illegal? Likely not but certainly corrupt.
  • Nancy Pelosi continues to NOT work with the White House nor Congress on a new COVID relief package.
  • The 2nd debate between Trump and Biden occurred this past Thursday night. The consensus is President Trump had an excellent debate and Biden struggled. One major story out of the debate is Biden stating his plan to is eliminate the oil industry. States who have major oil reserves as well as coal should take note.

Commentary:   As usual, Democrats and Republicans remain on opposite ends of the opinion spectrum to best serve this country….and pretty much everything else. The hypocrisy of the Left continues to be seen everywhere.

The admission from Biden that he plans to eliminate the oil industry is major. His son’s involvement with China, Ukraine, and released pictures and video of him supposedly with an underaged female could make a difference in this election. The FBI is getting ready to interview a former associate of Hunter Biden related to foreign influence on Joe Biden.

Social media continues to censor free speech primarily from Conservatives. My own Facebook account was deleted – no warnings, no explanation.

Everyone is wanting 2020 over in hopes that 2021 will be better. We can all have hope. If the trend from the last few years continues……

Having already early voted, there is a limit to how much I care to listen to anything else.. honestly I’ve had my fill and it’s affecting my demeanor. The more I hear de meaner I get. A play on words but not untrue at all.
I suppose I should continue to support my point of view to others.. maybe it will make a difference.
Precious metals have continually dropped over the past month. The price of construction materials have begun to mirror that process. (good for my Barn Project).
However paying people to stay at home, I’m afraid has been a mistake, as it has created even more of a dependent class. That’s bad if Biden wins. I don’t’ think he can do it fairly, but they have demonstrated fairness is not one of thier virtues.
Regardless of who wins, the next months will be unsettled at best… I won’t speculate on worst case. you all know as much as I do about how BAD it COULD get, but at seom point, playing it safe will not be the best choice. IMO.. Whatever that means, will probably be different for each of us. The lack of co-ordination between people of like mind on the right is concerning though.

Agree GG58. I’m sick(and tired) of hearing about the election and want it over with. Also agree that no matter who wins it’s going to be at a minimum interesting – and unsettling.
Good point on the lack of coordination. That has been a frustrating aspect of considering what is coming around the bend. We often discuss networking, MAG groups, etc. but Patriots and especially preppers are their own worst enemy. Many are secretive and hesitant to expose themselves to others, thus, they don’t network and become a lone wolf. That’s one issue with the “going grey” concept as it’s difficult to find others of like-mind. Not impossible though.
As always thanks for the comments.

when he does .. it’s his last one.. eventually it will swing back.. it’s not whether, just when IMO
I should stop being such a ray of sunshine I guess

Stimulus money has no doubt had a positive effect although temporary on the economy. Most people don’t know and don’t care that this is new money. It is money
that was created out of thin air by the Federal Reserve and has nothing to back it up.

Every new dollar immediately devalues the existing dollars by reducing the purchasing
power of the current money ie.inflation. Simply put it now takes many more dollars to
buy the same goods and services. When people no longer have faith in any currency it
will be the end of our monetary system. Soon I think.

The only safe haven for those who are truly prepared for a historic economic crash and the ensuing reset will be precious metals. Those that worship at the altar of the
NYSE will see that the sky really is falling.

Most of us never thought that our country would ever reach this point. I know I didn’t
Future generations may have a chance to make the world right again. It is way to late
    for the rest of us.

NormalChuck – a good friend and I have had many conversations regarding the Fed, printing money, deficits, and debt. An interesting phenomenon that seems to be occurring is that while the supply of money has increased dramatically – the perception of the value of that money has not changed dramatically. Regardless of how much money is in circulation people still perceive that $20 to have the same value. Although inflation continues it’s just a matter of time before the perception of value catches up to the actual value.

Even here in Australia we had the us debate broadcasting on every channel except 2 children’s channels. Sorry to hear about the freedom of speech issues, never been a fan of FB. But I don’t believe they should be deleting accounts everyone has the right to express their point of view.

  5. goinggray58 says:

Here it seems they are only deleting dissenting opinions.. meaning non-left.
At least 20 people I know all non-left. Definitely an effort to suppress a particular set of opinions.. right before the election.. Jokes on them though.. 2 weeks isn’t enough to sway any opinions one way or the other. .. typical corporate issue.. too little too late. Could even be deliberate.. so they can say they did what they were asked/paid to do, while actually having little effect. “corporation speak with forked tongue”.. glad to hear you guys down-under are keeping abreast of it as well. cheers mate!

Working the polls on November 3rd, we were told to vote early and we were sent an absentee ballot in case we were unable to early vote, reason, the expect an 80% turn out.

  7. Jimmy Garland says:

    Correction:
Last two times we had over 80% turn out was in 1878 and 1860!!! Wonder if it will be 1860 all over again?

  8. Relic-13 says:

Im in one of the 5 NYC counties. Economy remains depressed. Local report says Manhattan office space90% UNDER utilized. If true, major secondary hit on local business.
Again seeing shortages in the supermarkets – beef appears to be the most impacted followed by canned goods, paper goods and cleaning products.
Had my FB deleted about a month back. Numerous youtube channels i frequented wiped out along with twitter accounts. There is a coordinated purge across the socials. Also hearing of Patreon closing non left (ht gg58) accounts.
Rising COVID fever cough call types in our 911 system. With all the testing “case” counts will rise. I may be parsing words, but no one in dot-gov has defined a case. Does each test equal a case ? I’ve had 2, both negative Thank God. Or only positive result equals a case ?
Election is wearing down everybody. The nonstop “coverage” is effecting people and NOT for the better. The anger is becoming palpable. The camps are as far apart as can be without red and blue uniforms. A non friendly website is up donaldptrump.watch – its a target list IMO. Alerted a neighbor I found on it. He was passing it on to the local GOP folks.
1860 all over again ? Nah too clean. This will be Balkans dirty if it pops off. I’ve been told just being from NY means being a legit target by some on line good ole boys.
I pray to God for peace, but plan for the worst.

    1. JR says:

Relic-13 – – – > This purge of non-Left accounts and the suppression of speech is eye-opening. Those who doubted this was actually occurring should now be very aware. Thank you for sharing the link to DonaldTrump.watch.

Most of the references I am seeing regarding Patreon look to be a few years old. I don’t know the details. I am looking at providing a backup service of Patreon on Locals.com. Possibly I should switch now which I would hate to do since I am already established on Patreon. I’m just now getting into Locals so we will see.

The shortages of some foods is hard to figure out. We live in northwest Montana and the haven’t see any shortages to speak speak of. I’ve seen on other sites that back east
canned vegetables are out of stock in many stores.
We are told that the supply chain has been disrupted because of Covid-19 and that is probably true. With many food plant workers and truck drivers taken ill if there is a second wave of infections then many of us will find that we have a whole wardrobe of
    clothes that fit.
Some conspiracy theorists say that the government is behind everything from ingrown toe nails to chemtrails. The food shortages are not part of some dark agenda.
