From the Desk of John Rourke – March 8th, 2017

An 18-year-old man in North Carolina decapitated his mother. Guess what – he is an illegal immigrant. The amount of crime committed by those who should not be here in the first place is horrible. It must be stopped.

One of my favorite movies is King Kong. I’ve enjoyed the old one with Jessica Lange and the newer one with Naomi Watts is fantastic. What special effects! Tonight I am going to a sneak preview screening of Kong: Skull Island. Looking forward to it.

Although I am fairly satisfied with Trump’s actions thus far his constant trips to Florida and ridiculous Tweets just continue to provide ammunition to the opposition. Some of this just leaves my head shaking saying, “Come on, man!”

I’ve got a couple of books on aquaponics. Really interesting. Recently I found that the common yellow perch can be coupled with your system. Still want to try the approach in a mini green house.

They will never do that in front of me .. ever

Yeah he needs to keep those outbursts to himself.. that said I still agree with the direction

    On the aquaponics thing ..
We’ve been working with a couple local folks here in the south .. Temperature vs breed is one consideration.. How efficient they convert feed to protein is another.
Using IBC Totes. We can add catfish below and lava rock above and grow greens .. when very cold the water freezes over and the catfish don’t care at all… Which is much better than blue Tilapia which die around 40 degrees.. Which you can offset by setting below the freeze line in the ground .. to some degree..
Lots of stuff to learn .. one guy filters water and kills bacteria by drifting it by a UV light
Maybe I’ll get mine set up this summer

Did you ever consider that he goes to Florida to avoid wire taps? He holds lots of meetings there with high level people. He is not on a friggin vacation. As far as twitter, how is he supposed to bypass the MSM who twist everything he says? I have been following Trump for 30 years. He knows how corrupt DC is and how to avoid the swamp.

    1. JR says:

No shiloh1973Vicki – I have not considered that and do not think that would be a safe haven for him. Understand I am extremely pro-Trump. He can use Twitter and get his message across but he needs to quit sticking his foot in his mouth. For example to come out and say that Obama was wiretapping him and then – that’s it – without providing hard evidence. Come on. I’m not saying it’s not true but it just fuels the left and creates doubters.

  4. Lightning says:

In time the evidence will most likely be presented re: the wiretapping. If you want facts follow Jay Sekulow( Center for law and justice) and Tom Fitton (Heritage Foundation. ?) . These lawyers are constantly guarding our rights and often bring the US Gov officials to court. ( for ex for Hillarys e mails etc.)
Mark Rubio from Fl. was correct when he said re: issues that Obama knows exactly whats hes doing-he has purposely tried to ruin America.
Hey Rourke you may get some snow this weekend -everyone a big cold front is coming from Canada to Florida-get ready. Lightning

PS Checked our orchard today and the bunnies have munched some branches over the winter despite our wrapping them but its still in ok shape. I tried to pull out some stubble from last years garden but some soil is still too frozen.

Good points, Lightening….i still have to remind myself we NEVER have,(or are INTENDED to have,) the whole story. For some reason, most of the liberals think they do and if there are pieces missing they fill in the gaps with”silly putty,” but then i am guilty of this too on occasion.

i keep getting itchy to get the garden stuff started though the weather would say nay here in the upper Midwest. Starting a few things inside soon and this year i’m going to have a tray of green beans that are just what one remembers from grade school’s efforts to show the young ones where food/flowers come from. With a little TLC and an early cold resistant variety, i am aiming for fresh green beans on our table weeks before the main garden plantings start in. After all…one can NEVER have garden grown veggies soon enough….Just saying….

Everyone stay warm through this coming snow and cold…..
