I’ve been reading several non-prepper books lately and continue to really enjoy audio books. If you haven’t tried them – I highly recommend it. I listen anywhere I go while in the car. Right now new listeners can get two free audiobooks when they sign up. Good deal.

I think I’ve mentioned this before –
“People are not judged on your intentions – you’re judged on your actions.”
Something to remember.

Anyone have any experience with Augason Farms and their food storage products? I have a 30-day bucket I bought a couple years ago and going to do some taste testing. I really like their product line and know they have been around for a long time. Will report on the taste test next week.
There are many reasons why so many love their Kindle and Amazon Fire tablets. One huge advantage is you could literally go years without every buying a book to read as there are tons of free eBooks available. Don’t have a Kindle or Fire? No problem. There are apps that can be installed on most any cell phone or computer for free. No excuses!

NOTE: If you see a free preparedness eBook that you’re interested in get it now. Prices change often and there is no way to tell how long the book will remain free. Before purchasing a free Kindle book on Amazon make certain the book is still free by making sure the price is $0.00. If it lists a price or says “read for free” or has a price for Prime members the book is not free anymore.
JR, is that your whole garden?
Nope – just part of it. My garden is about 25’x 35′.
Have you read ‘The Reliant’ by Dr. Patrick Johnston? I see it is being made into a movie. Trailer looked good.
Dan–Yes, glad to see they’re making “The Reliant” into a movie. How a guy who is a doctor with 7 kids finds time to write books is beyond me but I enjoyed it.

Nice…your garden looks very good Rourke. The other posts showed it full of other stuff to. How…did you deal with all the bugs, nutrients, and what not? I’m sure you spend a good amount of time on it.
Good advise. I will check into a few books myself. Sounds like a very good way to take my mind off traffic.
Re: Auguson Farms, We tried some of their fruit a couple of years ago and had some cans with a lot of powder at the bottom and the can only looked half full. Their food tasted okay, but I found there are better quality companies out there.
Thanks Brad M. Going to open my bucket this weekend and will see what it looks – and tastes – like.
Need to finish the planting here in the Midwest…there’s always something to do in the garden right now. Yours looks good…
Enjoy seeing Bella/Jake…do they get to cool off in the pool too ? 🙂 They are SO gorgeous…thanks for sharing.
FYI for anyone who finds herbs/”medicinal weeds of use” an interest….Alchemy of Herbs by Rosealee De La Foret, is priced at $1.99 at Amazon right now(Tue am.) It is an entry level book of information that has FINALLY got me actually DOING/understanding how spices, herbs and”weeds”fit in to our lives and work…HIGHLY recommend!
Rourke…enjoying the steady rise in rank on TOP PEPPER SITES….oops, gotta go VOTE !!! 🙂
Thanks Joyce. Appreciate all the votes!
