So here’s the deal: I am rewriting A Survival Story as a completely new book written in 3rd person and will be part of a trilogy. This will take an incredible amount of work thus the noticeable change to the posting schedule here. Some older posts will be being republished as well.
Writing a prepper-fiction book is quite out of my element. I have an experienced post-apocalyptic author assisting me and providing some guidance. Will it work? Time will tell but moving into the role as a serious author is something I am very excited about.
Although this is a new book with a new title the story will be based on the events of the original.

Companies continue to report wage increases and bonus – and Democrats still say Trump is not their President.

Most everyone has their “go to” SHTF gun. For some people, it’s a pistol. Some it’s a rifle. Some like a shotgun. For me? It’s an AR pistol which I call Venom. I like its compactness and firepower. Everyone’s situation is different.
So – what is your SHTF Go To gun?

I am now down 14 pounds.

SiG MPX is my go to
I like a .38 Special. I have short stubby fingers, and it’s the only handgun I’ve found that gives me good control.
EDC gun is an XD45 full size with a spare pew refill in the off hand rear pocket, and a Mossberg 590A1 always in the truck locker. Go to for getting business done is a DPMS LR308 in 16″ with a Franklin Armory BFSIII, and 7.62 ACOG. Viking Tactical Sling works great on it.
Not surprised the snowflakes still cant accept the reality of the election. They seem to live their life trying to come up with ways to warp truth into something that fits their psychosis.
Already ordered Book 9, and need to get it read.
As an FYI, Franklin Armory (Known for their Binary Firing system) is releasing an 11.5 inch, conventional stock firearm that is NOT an NFA Item. (I have no affiliation with Franklin Armory other than being a satisfied customer)
Stay in the fight, and God Bless!
EDC? Sig Sauer P226r SCT model. This is the same model Navy Seals, Texas Rangers, Air Marshals, etc carry. Sig recently came out with a newer version for them. The only real difference in my pistol and the “forces”, is mine did not come with the screw edges, (Tactical) for easy screw on silencer. Meh.

Because, I’m not worried about the one person that might have a gun. It’s the Physco, that I might encounter at a store/public using an AR or AK. Therefore, I have extra clips and a full size. I just bought the Alien gear IWB holster. It’s a Military, (Marine Corps) thing. Lay down more firepower then what’s coming at you. At ANY point in time, I need the firepower I have it. Some people have discussed the range and/or distance of certain hand guns would not be useful. I really don’t and will not argue with them. I however, know for a fact, scientifically and with practice. My pistol, in a stable position, will hit a target with lethality well over 100 yards. I’m sure you can YouTube some person shooting at least at 100 yards.
Some people are just not happy with a full size and I understand. For me having a full size and the rounds to go with it, brings me much peace and is worth the extra weight or what-not.
Down 14 pounds? Cheater!..heh. Nah..just kidding. I had to restart after the holidays. I’m not doing so well.
You don’t meantion what caliber tour P226. It does come on three different calibers. The 9mm out of a pistol will travel flat out to 100 yards though. So, yes it possible to make those shots with a pistol.
Your not tour. Should have said “your P226 was”.
My “go to” gun is the one I’m closest to at the moment of need. Within an arm’s reach as I type is a Ruger P-89 and a few steps further is a Mossberg Mariner Defender loaded with #4.
Walther P99. Light and sits on my 4:00 just right. Has full 9mm +P capability. Love the DA/SA trigger. Nothing I can say bad about this pistol…
