From the Desk of John Rourke – April 7th, 2017

Reminder: Next week I will be mostly AFK*(away from keyboard). I have an assortment of posts scheduled and hope some good discussions within the 1776-community occur. I’ll chime in whenever I am back on-the-grid.

I just received word that the United States hit Syrian air bases with Tomahawk cruise missiles in response to Assad’s nerve agent use against its citizen. This could turn into a very serious situation as  tensions between Russia and the US is sure to grow.

Concerned.

Please, insert ‘alleged’ and ‘according to MSM’.

Unless somebody has proof [taps fingers patiently] [crickets chirp].

Makes you wonder, because they discovered ISIS was making chemical weapons in university labs in Mosul, Iraq after retaking the area. So, did the Syria Air Force hit an unknown rebel/ISIS chemical weapons stockpile with a bomb?

Looks like Trump got duped by the deep state which wants to keep the flames of war hot for the military industrial complex. McLame and Graham must be drooling.
If you recall Candidates Trump wanted to get the hell out of the Middle East. It’s a shame that he seems to be made of clay.

Every president gets co-opted by the Deep State methinks, but Raytheon is up and Wall Street is happy.

The rest of us are screwed.

I’m of two minds. Concerned, but about Putin not the creep killing men and women with Sarin gas. I’m not giddy or anything about people dieing from Tomahawks, especially since it obviously means nothing to the creep. Trump is behaving presidentially though. We elected him based on hoping he would be among other things. The money part on the market should not be what it is about of course, and I don’t think it was. It would not be the first time we fought on more than one front to do the right thing. I suspect tension will escalate and then calm down. If I were him I’d look for a way to extend the olive branch, but keep the sword ready in the other hand. Having a plan and not needing it, is better than needing a plan and not having it.

I’m agreement, (not that my agreement means anything) with quite a few things GC58 said. I’m concerned, don’t like it, but feel Iike it’s part of the needed policy. You see the previous 8 years that evil man bummer was all hot air and made America intentionally to be weak. Foreign powers wanted to negotiate with America and try to meet America at least halfway before bummer got in office. There was a reason for that. The political, monetary, and military force equalizing factors.

As much as people didn’t like George Bush Jr. People KNEW there was concern of consequences from America. Trump is just sending a strong political message and statement to the world. America will resume to be a country to be reckoned with. It also sets a clear line for our “friendship” with Russia. Of course, now Russia will have to do something to show their people they are still strong. Pretty much power posturing. Let’s just hope and pray it does not spiral into something worse.

A very tense and uncomfortable way to do it, but unlike bummer’s “clear red line” that meant nothing. Trump/America is not the whore anymore. IMO, we need prayers to make sure Trump doesn’t go to far and that God sends him the wisdom to make the right decisions.

Assad poisoned his own people and Saddam Hussein had WMD. Nobody can come up with even a half assed motive since Assad’s been doing everything in his power, to this point, to protect them. Now, “the resistance” … who CAN’T come up with a motive? Why can’t our intelligence agencies muster the slightest curiosity before jumping to the bomb option? Oh yea, I know, the Russians did it! This explains why they hacked our election and put Trump in the White House. The theater of the absurd is in IMAX, 3D and surround sound. The general population accepts and repeats whatever the talking head says. When two completely opposite theories are held as truth the mind is paralyzed. “The double-minded man is unstable in all his ways.”

The only benefit I can see to this bombing is to the group(s) resistant to the Syrian Army. The Syrian Army with the help of the Russians has regained around 60% of the country, slowing refugee movement into Turkey and Western Europe. Remember, Syria is a sovereign nation who has INVITED Russia to help them with ISIS (RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISTS and all the other names that are used) and they have been quite successful. The US has NOT been invited in by the sovereign leader of the sovereign nation and that’s why the majority of nations in the UN have considered our participation in this “civil war” unlawful.

Watch for the partitioning of Syria, Iraq and Turkey to form a “beltway” state of Kurdish control. The Kurds are mostly Sunni Muslims and the three countries they inhabit are not fond of them. Sunnis are the majority in the Middle East countries. Saudi Arabia is Sunni Wahhabist, Pakistan and Libya are Sunni,Turkey’s population is overwhelmingly Sunni but their government is secular. Iran and Syria are mostly Shiites and the Iraq government, which was secular under Hussein, is moderately run by Shiites. Syria also has a high number of Orthodox Christians who have been treated well until ISIS moved in from Iraq. This whole region has had more than it’s share of turmoil for centuries stemming from religious differences. Imagine a civil war in North America between Evangelical Christians and Catholics, mix in Buddhists, Judaists and Muslims then maybe one side or another can “use” new age atheists. Let’s You and Him fight! I’m sure if there were a civil war in the US, we’d be horribly relieved to have Mexico (majority Catholic) with the support of China, step in to help.

Another piece of the puzzle, there are two pipeline proposals, the Iran-Iraq-Syria Pipeline and the Qatar-Turkey Pipeline. The US, of course, supports the second proposal because it benefits our good friends in Saudi Arabia who just happen to hold a great deal of our debt (the debtor is slave to the lender) while Syria has already agreed to and Russia supports the first. The Middle East would be so much more manageable if we could just break it down into miniature states. Who wants to manage it? Show of hands. Don’t believe me, here’s a far more comprehensive explanation.

I remember candidate Trump saying, “Maybe we should try getting along with the Russians.” Well, now I ‘m not sure if we’ve been sold a bill of goods or if the strong man wasn’t as strong as we all thought he was. The first thing Trump should’ve done was stop the arms and supplies going to ISIS et. al., you know, like sanctions. Does the swamp look deeper and murkier? I saw a headline that Trump is going to shake up his cabinet soon. My hundred bucks says Jared Kushner wants Steve Bannon out. Who’s robbing this train, Jesse? Could the greedy, warmongering, neo-cons be back? They are like cancer, if they come back they’ll be younger, healthier, stronger and more lethal than ever.

If you took a break from prepping because you thought “happy days are here again”, SNAP OUT OF IT!

    This will not end well.

    1. Capt.Michaels says:

Pam, with all due respect. And please do not take what I type next as a direct attack or rebuttal against your statements. I would like to point out some things concerning your comment. Regardless, I apologize in advance if I do offend you.

Russia did not hack our election or do anything to put Trump in the White House. We, the people voted him in. Democrats, Republicans, and independents. The deep state, (bummer, liberals, whatever) in their investigations actually uncovered more colluding from the bummer administration, (whoops). They are so busy desperately and pathetically digging with a microscope to find anything on Trump and have only uncovered their own evil. Up to this date they cannot find proof, hidden or not, evidence against Trump. Remember the NSA can spy/access everything.

The liberals and mass hysteria-media are only trying to whip up hysteria to keep you from looking at the blatant illegal things the liberals did. Just like Oz.

      https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ubIpoPjBUds

On the other hand they did find out what Trump said they were doing, they were actually doing. Illegally wire tapping/data mining against Trump. Espionage is defined as exactly what bummer and his administration did.

      es·pi·o·nage
      ˈespēəˌnäZH/
      noun
      noun: espionage
The practice of spying or of using spies, typically by governments to obtain political and military information.

The Espionage Act of 1917 was passed, along with the Trading with the Enemy Act, just after the United States entered World War I in April 1917. It was based on the Defense Secrets Act of 1911, especially the notions of obtaining or delivering information relating to “national defense” to a person who was not “entitled to have it”

As far as prepping. No one here, to my limited knowledge, has stopped prepping. I believe we were able to slow down a bit as Hitlery did not make into office.

      1. Pam says:

Oh, Captain, No apology necessary. We are in total agreement on the Russia hacked our election point!!

My poorly communicated point is, “they” (whoever they are – OZ) will put out an absurdity, then repeat it over and over until it sticks in some minds as truth. Then they put out other stories, again with the mantra like repetition until they are also accepted as truth. The problem is, these stories, commonly held as truths, cannot be reconciled. The end result, which is what I intended to focus on in my first paragraph, is double mindedness. When the light of facts and common sense is shed on a subject, the double minded man resorts to mumbling bumper sticker slogans. I know you know some of these people, there’s a lot of them stumbling around living life focused on their own FB page. When you say ‘Deep State’ to them, they think you’re talking about an action movie.

I have often said that the right wing (REP) and the left wing (DEM) are both wings on the same dirty bird. That dirty bird has been partially exposed as the deep state. The nightmare intensifies as you gain greater understanding of the actual events occurring and realize they aren’t really current but rather part of a plan that’s been ongoing for decades (or maybe centuries). The wire tapping / data mining is completely legal if you refer to the Patriot Act of 2001. Even though Federal Judges have ruled major sections unconstitutional, the practices of our intelligence gathering agencies have not been affected. Don’t count on this one making it to the Supreme Court.
Ugh … It seems the rabbit hole never ends.

One of candidate Trump’s strong points for 18 months was limited intervention in Syria and getting along with the Russians. This was #1 for some of his supporters. Nov. 9, 2016, OZ begins a never ending barrage of ‘Russian election hacking’ and the vilification of Putin. It almost seems like someone wants the US and Russia in a war. Less than a week before “the gas attack” Trump said there was no need for regime change in Syria – Assad can stay. Quick Flip!! Why? I mean what is the REAL reason for this 180 degree change? Somebody please help me with this.

Retail sales in the prepping industry indicate consumers have optimistic confidence in the future. The DOW soars. Fire arms and ammo manufacturers have had to lay off employees, the market is flooded, sale prices are fantastic – Don’t miss out.
