Colonial Pipeline Disruption

OK, folks, we’ve seen this before. Remember Katrina? Fuel disruptions to a specific area of the country? Gas prices surge upwards and supply runs low? Demand skyrockets due to the mainstream media telling everyone there will be gas shortages? Yes. The news has to sell their stories to gain viewership and in turn, people freak out and go out and overbuy fuel causing a shortage.

Yes – I’m included.

Knowing that people will create a shortage out of fear I went out and topped off the gas tanks.

This is temporary. They will get everything back online and supply will flow as it did before. Colonial is estimating fuel will begin flowing at the end of the week. As preppers, we should be prepared for these types of events so when they occur we make adjustments and keep going. No big deal, right?

If you don’t have a few gas cans set back go ahead and handle it now. Yeah – a couple of weeks ago might have been better but do it now. Gas cans are still available if you look. Other containers will work as well even though they may not be “red.”  Even if it is mid-next week this is not the apocalypse we all have been prepping for.

Logical and commonsense preparing. It’s what we do. If the zombies start moving through the streets searching for brains to eat – well, we will be better off than most everyone else.
