Camper Security

A recent addition to the camper is the Stevens Model 320 below. This is a 12 gauge shotgun.

I had Fred Choate from Choate, Machine and Tool send me a magazine extension for it which I need to install. If you are not familiar with Choate – a great company! Fred Choate is an avid shooter, Patriot, and prepper as well.

With the difficulty of obtaining ammunition, many new gun buyers are going to shotguns. With that said shotgun ammunition is also in short supply.

I keep my eye out whenever I venture into any business that carries ammunition and I’ve grabbed some 00-Buck and slugs recently.

Stack it high and stack it deep!

At my age and physicalness, 20’s are the way we go. I have extensions for the 1100’s and 870’s we (as a family) have. Good stuff, 20’s are a bit more difficult than 12’s to install, but well worth the hassle and price.

    20-gauge makes sense.
I authorized a 100% disability for a recruit going through P.O.S.T. at the retired Rancho Seco nuclear plant near Sacramento.
Firing a 12-gauge as instructed destroyed everything within six inches of the buttstock.

    She is permanently crippled.

I also recommend semi-auto instead of pump.
The recoil feels softer and spread in comparison.

Continuing into Post-Apoch with a half-function body seems like a particularly poor idea.
