  • What If You Refuse To Take the Vaccine?

What If You Refuse To Take the Vaccine?

There’s quite a bit of excitement, and well-deserved apprehension regarding the COVID vaccines being administered across the country.  Millions of Americans want the vaccine and the protection it affords all the while millions more are very concerned about both the short-term and long-term effects.

There are numerous rumors and theories on what may happen should people decide NOT to take the vaccine. These run from absolutely nothing – all the way up to increased insurance cost and an inability to get a job.

Here are a few possible repercussions for those not willing to get the vaccine:

    • Denial to enter their workplace. Basically, no one will hire you.
    • Inability to attend school.
    • Laws could be passed not allowing those not vaccinated to attend large group events.
    • Travel restrictions – both domestic and abroad
    • Higher health insurance rates
    • No access to certain facilities and events – this could include no access to nursing homes, movie theaters, visiting hospitals, etc.
    • Denial of certain government benefits.
    • Social stigma’s placed on those refusing to take the vaccine.

I have no intention of taking the vaccine. There are those that fall into certain high-risk categories that should absolutely consider it.

  • REVIEW: Civil Defense Manual by Jack Lawson

REVIEW: Civil Defense Manual by Jack Lawson

Jack Lawson is one of the co-authors of the now out-of-print but still much sought after book A Failure of Civility. He has now published Civil Defense Manual, Vol. I & II: How to Prepare and Protect Your Neighborhood from Disaster, Riot, and Civil Unrest.

Information on preparing for the complete and udder calamity which any of us feel awaits around the corner is not easy to find. Yes, I’m referring to a true WROL(without rule of law). Anyone heard that we are in the early stages of a 2nd civil war? Yeah – this book set is packed with valuable information for some pretty sh#$$y times.

This book set takes you through the steps to prepare your town and neighborhood for a worst-case scenario(SHTF). Whether it’s a zombie apocalypse, civil unrest, or all-out economic collapse this book has the suggestions, the steps, the checklists to get you prepared.

This is THE book which is a must-have in a preparedness library.

Below are a few pictures showing the Table of Contents:

When you are looking at the table of contents you see typical preparedness information such as food storage and water filtration. With this book, there is information on body armor, EMP, leadership, tools, intelligence, defense, night fighting, and so much more!

This is not an inexpensive book set. Is it worth it? How much is your life worth? If you will spend thousands of dollars on firearms and ammunition but won’t fork out $100 on a set of manuals on how to survive the “bed stuff” coming – then priorities need to be in order.

Reality Check: Information is the most underated and undervalued tangible asset in preparedness.

Check out the Civil Defense Manual: How To Prepare and Protect Your Neighborhood from Disaster, Riot, and Civil Unrest by foillowing THIS LINK.

This is a book set that I’ll be going through with a yellow highlighter. It’s that good.

    The COVID Agenda Continues……

Yes – COVID is real. No – it’s not as dangerous as originally portrayed FOR MOST PEOPLE. No – we should not shut the country down because of it. Yes – those with certain health conditions should take precautions to avoid it(and the flu). Yes – politicians have and are taking advantage of the virus to move their agendas forward.

See the yellow highlighted text below.

It appears a positive COVID-19 test result may not mean a positive test for COVID-19.

  • FUBAR: Government Passes COVID Relief and Spending Bill

FUBAR: Government Passes COVID Relief and Spending Bill

The House of Representatives split the coronavirus relief and government funding legislation passed Monday into two separate votes — allowing members to vote against the part that included military and Homeland Security funding. The entire spending bill passed to the amount of approx $2.3 trillion dollars.

With all this money being spent and added to the national debt – most citizens are reportedly going to receive a stimulus check for $600. If you take the $900 billion, which is targeted towards COVID relief, and divide it by 330 million people in this country – that’s roughly $2700 per person.

I did a little math. The United States gives Israel approx $3.8 billion dollars per year. That’s around $422 per Israeli citizen. The United States is giving every Israeli citizen $422!!!!!

The following is floating around the internet today. I haven’t fact-checked it and even if the numbers are skewed it’s not far off showing the pathetic efforts by our government to do their job.

    Behind your little $600 check….

    1.      $300,000,000 for Migrant and Refugee Assistance pg.. 147
    2.      $10,000 per person for student loan bailout
    3.      $100,000,000 to NASA, because, who knows why.
    4.      $20,000,000,000 to the USPS, because why not
    5.      $300,000,000 to the Endowment for the Arts – because of it
    6.      $300,000,000 for the Endowment for the Humanities/ because no one even knew that was a thing
    7.      $15,000,000 for Veterans Employment Training / for when the GI Bill isn’t enough
    8.      $435,000,000 for mental health support
    9.      $30,000,000,000 for the Department of Education stabilization fund/ because that will keep people employed (all those zeros can be confusing, that’s $30 BILLION)
    10.   $200,000,000 to Safe Schools Emergency Response to Violence Program
    11.   $300,000,000 to Public Broadcasting / NPR has to be bought by the Democrats
    12.   $500,000,000 to Museums and Libraries / Who knows how we are going to use it
    13.   $720,000,000 to Social Security Admin / but get this only 200,000,000 is to help people. The rest is for admin costs
    14.   $25,000,000 for Cleaning supplies for the Capitol Building / I kid you not it’s on page 136
    15.   $7,500,000 to the Smithsonian for additional salaries
    16.   $35,000,000 to the JFK Center for Performing Arts
    17.   $25,000,000 for additional salary for House of Representatives
    18.   $3,000,000,000 upgrade to the IT department at the VA

    24.   $9,000,000 Misc. Senate Expenses pg. 134
    25.   $100,000,000 to Essential Air carriers pg. 162. This of note because the Airlines are going to need billions in loans to keep them afloat ($100,000,000 is chump change.)
    26.   $40,000,000,000 goes to the Take Responsibility to Workers and Families Act. This sounds like it’s direct payments for workers pg. 164

  • GUN CONTROL: DOJ and ATF Stance on Braced Pistols

GUN CONTROL: DOJ and ATF Stance on Braced Pistols

As of last week, there is a trend developing with the ATF. Between raids on 80% lower manufacturers and anti-stabilizing brace actions, this demands some attention.

The ATF is suggesting that when evaluating firearms with a stabilizing brace to determine whether they are considered firearms under the National Firearms Act (NFA) and/or the Gun Control Act (GCA). The Department of Justice (DOJ) is planning to “subsequently implement a separate process for current possessors of stabilizer-equipped firearms to choose to register such firearms in compliance with the NFA.”

Check out the video below from the Military Arms Channel for more details:

A few thoughts: The head of ATF Deputy Director Regina Lombardo admitted back in November that she has had communication with the Biden team. After this “communication” which the Biden team put forth their desire for aggressive anti-gun action, the ATF raided multiple companies involved in 80% lower manufacture. They also are obviously looking into banning/regulating stabilizing braces and creating the largest gun registry in United States history.

Folks, this is what we have to look forward to over the next 4 years. The Biden-Harris presidential campaign announced that they back the most radical anti-gun policies ever suggested in modern times. Every option will be explored to diminish and reduce the Rights guaranteed by the 2nd Amendment. With the high likelihood that Democrats will take the Senate – it does not look good.

What will gun owners do if these potential gun control actions become reality? If they do not stand together our Rights will no doubt be picked apart.

  • The Ruger P345

    The Ruger P345

Over the years there have been many guns I planned to get and it just never happened. I could name off 30-40 guns which I added to a list or two and are no longer available. Incredibly many of them were fairly inexpensive at the time and are now selling – if you can find them – for much more than brand new back in the day.

The Ruger P345 was one of the guns I wanted the most.

I checked a few out at local gun shops. A full-sized 45ACP running around $379 with Ruger ruggedness and reliability made it attractive. Loved the two-tone color scheme. Unfortunately, sales did not make Ruger happy and they ended the model and moved on to the SR45 and other follow-ups.

    RUGER P345 SPECS:

    • Caliber: .45 Auto (ACP)
    • Action: recoil operated semi-automatic
    • Length: 7.625 in
    • Width: 1.2 in (with slide lever)
    • Height: 5.75 in
    • Magazine Capacity: 8 rounds
    • Barrel Length: 4.25 in
    • Rifling: 6-grooves, 1:16 in RH twist
    • Trigger: double-action
    • Sights: White 3-dot, fixed front, drift adjustable rear
    • Weight without magazine: 26.8 oz
    • Weight with empty magazine: 29.4 oz
    • Weight loaded (1+8 rd magazine): 35.7 oz

I’m always on the lookout for the P345 – as well as several others. Gunbroker has them selling at around $600. Yeah, I don’t think so.

What’s on your gun wish list from the past?

  • Practice and Learn- What I Learned From Preparing Auguson Farm Food

Practice and Learn- What I Learned From Preparing Auguson Farm Food

Augason Farms Creamy Chicken Flavored Rice

I consider myself a prepper in training. I can remember back in the early 2000’s wanting to be prepared for winter time in Northern Maine. The year after that my awareness for the need to be prepared for other situations grew. It was a sixth sense of sorts that is hard to explain.  Wanting to keep my family safe, I thought about potential situations that I could face and need to be prepared for. Each fall time, without fail, I would feel the need to prepare for the winter ahead.

Planning for the winter ahead included, stocking up the extra freezer I had in the basement with half of a beef from the local butcher. Furnishing the basement with shelves to put extra canned goods to keep was another. I had a camp stove with some small cans of propane to prepare food. Having extra coolers to keep my food cold and safe outside in a snowbank was also an option for food storage if needed.

Knowing there was a big hole in my plans because I had no secondary source of heat I needed another plan. Without heat, I would have to go to relatives if that was needed. In retrospect, I would have put in a wood stove in the event of a power outage. I had plenty of wood on my 12 acres and would have kept seasoned wood in the basement for emergencies.

Many people in Maine put in secondary sources of heat in their homes but both relied on electricity which made no sense to me. Others had generators which was probably what I would have gone with if I had not sold and moved. I ofter saw generators used to keep the heat on if nothing else during a power outage in winter. My next home will have a wood stove for sure!

Anyway, back to the creamy chicken rice, my point is that being accurately prepared takes a lot more than just buying stuff. Figuring out what works for you in your environment while considering the needs of those around you and other possible needs BEFORE you need them is crucial. I thought Mr. Rourke was silly for wanting to try some of the freeze dried food. Why would we want to waste good food that can be stored long-term? Well, I am glad that in this instance he was correct.

I learned a few things that I will consider when buying more freeze dried food.

    1. The first thing I learned was how much water you need to make the meals that come in this kit. The creamy chicken flavored rice needed 5 cups of water and a couple of the other meals needed 8 cups and 10 cups.
    2. Another thing I learned when making this side dish was that it could have easily been made into a main dish by adding a can of chicken and/or a can of veggies. The container says it is 8 servings so adding more would either feed more or let you have a bigger portion.
    3. Also worth noting was that a little garlic salt really made a difference in the taste.
    4. The last thing I learned was that although this kit was for 1 person for 72 hours unless I planned on eating just chicken flavored rice all day I would need a way of storing the prepared food. You could just make half but you would still need a way of storing the packet of dried ingredients for another day.  Containers and plastic storage bags would make things easier when trying to store the leftovers.

The Creamy Chicken Flavored Rice was very simple to make. I did have to stand there and stir quite often to prevent clumping but other than that you only need a few things. You will need a pot, measuring cup, 5 cups of water, and a whisk.

Here is the container of food, how it looked when we opened it, and all the individual bags that come in it.

Here is the nutrition information of all the packages in the 72-hour food supply. We chose to have the Creamy Chicken Flavored Rice. It has 240 calories for 1/3 cup and says it is 8 servings.

The only thing we had to do was boil five cups of boiling water and add the contents.

As stated previously I had to tend to the dish by stirring occasionally to prevent any clumping.

The final product was very good alone, however, we did add some garlic salt and pepper for a little more flavor. The consistency was a little thicker than what you would expect from a rice dish, but again very good.

Anyone have any experience with freeze dried or dehydrated food that you could share? I would love to hear about them!

  • End of Year Thoughts

    End of Year Thoughts

Generally, it’s this time of year I think about the coming year and set goals and objectives. This year I will be doing the same, however, I’m setting the timeline through the first six months of 2021. With the ongoing volatility and uncertainty, I do not feel comfortable to be able to accurately project what goals I can accomplish for the entirety of 2021. From the perspective of forecasting the future – I’ve pretty much sucked over the past decade. Regardless – I’ll continue to give it my best shot.

I’m at a point now that I’m very focused on the end game – which is to get to a position where I can get in the woods and be living my own version of the American Exit Strategy. To do this as quickly as possible focus has to be on debt reduction and savings. At the same time, I’ll continue to prep, although, I am close to where I want to be(for now). Securing secondary and tertiary streams of income will also be required as relocation to the type of area I consider ideal will limit job opportunities.

Throughout 2020 I’ve been in and out of the gym. Right now – I’m in. Like millions of others dropping 20 pounds would be good and improving my health is essential. Far too often thousands of dollars are spent on preps all the while an expanding waistline and clogged arteries occur. Doesn’t make much sense but yeah – I’ve been guilty.  I bench 245 this morning and felt like I could have gotten it 2-3 times if I had a spotter(I didn’t). This isn’t too far off my PR of 285.

So – what does 2021 hold?

Hell if I know. Alien invasion? Vampires? Economic calamity? Continued attacks against our rights? Stock market crash? All of the above?

    Maybe.

Maybe everything will be just fine and it will be all palm trees and ocean breeze, unicorns and butterflies. Maybe 2021 will come in and out like a barrel full of monkeys trying to hump a doorknob.

    Any predictions?

TASTE TEST: Mountain House Grilled Chicken & Mashed Potato’s

Mountain House is the most popular long term food storage provider for a reason: Great taste and 25+ year shelf life. Mountain House is so popular now their products can be commonly found at local stores such as Wal-Mart and Academy.

I’ve eaten plenty of Mountain House freeze-dried food and so far have not found a flavor I have disliked. Last week picked up a pouch of MH Chicken Breasts & Mashed Potatoes. In my food storage efforts, I’ve stocked up on quite a bit of freeze-dried food to add variety.

Mountain House freeze dried food, grilled chicken, survival, SHTF, prepper, preparedness

The package states “Two grilled, seasoned chicken breasts with rib meat, mashed potatoes with herbs & chives”. Total weight is 3.7 ounces which may seem like very little until you remember water needs to be added.

Mountain House freeze dried food, grilled chicken, survival, SHTF, prepper, preparedness

There are 440 calories in the pouch which is stated to equal two servings. This particular selection – Grilled Chicken & Mashed Potatoes – is very high in protein and carbs. Especially good for energy.

Mountain House freeze dried food, grilled chicken, survival, SHTF, prepper, preparedness

Instructions above are fairly simple. I usually go over slightly on the recommended water for Mountain House offerings.  I have found in the past that using the recommended amounts would sometimes come up short thus I would need to add a bit.

Mountain House freeze dried food, grilled chicken, survival, SHTF, prepper, preparedness

As seen in the picture above the chicken breasts(left) are dry and broken into a few pieces.  The boiling water is poured directly into the pouch and then sealed to “cook” the chicken. Of course, the chicken is actually pre-cooked.

After 2-3 minutes, the mashed potato powder is poured in and stirred. While stirring the chicken breaks up into smaller pieces. My impression of the smell was very positive. There is little doubt herbs and seasonings are added for flavor.

    The Final Result:

Mountain House, freeze dried food, review, taste test,

The Mountain House Grilled Chicken & Mashed Potatoes turned out very good. The chicken was so tender and the mashed potatoes had a very good texture to them.

I attempted to eat the entire plate myself for supper and couldn’t get it all down. It was very filling.

    RECOMMENDED.

How to Use a CAT Tourniquet

A tourniquet is one of the most important items to have in any IFAK(individual first aid kit) or on a Kit(tactical loadout). For that matter inclusion in a vehicle is a great idea as you never know when an auto accident may occur and someone needs help.

This video shows how to use a CAT Tourniquet (Combat Application Tourniquet).

Please Note: If you are under fire, use the “high and tight” method (over clothes and very high on the extremity). When safe, apply TQ above and closer to the wound (usually 2-3″). Apply a back-up tourniquet above the first one if rebleeding is noted or retighten 1st TQ if no backup available.

Important COVID Treatment Video – Ivermectin

A special thanks to NormlChuck who mentioned this video in a recent comment. I reviewed the video and felt the information was well worth inclusion as a main post.

According to Chris Martensen(not a doctor), Ivermectin has been shown in studies to be 100% effective against the COVID-19 virus:

“The data is 100% in agreement: All studies show a clinical benefit for use of Ivermectin. It works as a pre-exposure prophylaxis, post-exposure prophylaxis, and when given to both early and late hospitalized patients.”

Important to note is Ivermectin is available as a veterinary drug ordered through the mail.

    How Far Would They Go?

Ever since President Trump was announced the winner in November of 2016 more and more people have grown to hate him. Maybe it is his lack of political polish in his speech or his crude statements. Regardless, people on both sides of the aisle have made it their mission to get him out of office.

    How far would they go?

    • FBI Spying on Trump Before Becoming President
    • The Russian Scandal
    • Fake Steele Dossier
    • James Comey
    • The Charlottesville Speech
    • Powers Inside the FBI Conspiring Against President Trump
    • Impeachment Hearings in the House of Representatives
    • Hollywood Celebrities Suggesting Violence and Assassinations
    • Trump Supporters Attacked and Even Killed For Supporting Their President
    • Trump Censored Across Social Media Platforms
    • Conservative Pro-Trump Speech Censored Across Social Media Platforms
    • FBI Agents Peter Strzok and Lisa Page
    • Mainstream Media Blatantly Publish Biased Anti-Trump “News”
    • “Cancel Culture” Against Trump Supporters
    • Investigations into the Children of Trump
    • Never Trump Movement
    • Blaming President Trump for “every” COVID-19 Death

The above list is far from complete.

I believe there is one important item to add to the list……

The Theft of the 2020 Presidential Election

Many are suggesting that Trump should/will not concede and will not leave the White House in January. If this does in fact occur, how would it go down? What would occur? Who would support him?

What I know is if he refused to step down and asked the American people to come to his aid and stand with him, Washington, DC would receive a swarm of armed Patriots that would number well over 1 million.

    Far fetched?

    We’ll see.

It’s been extremely busy over the past couple of weeks. Works been crazy and the amount of time spent posting here and on Patreon suffered a bit. I see light at the end of the tunnel so hopefully, things will be back to normal soon.

    ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Visited my brother in Georgia. He lives fairly remote out in the country. Spent a good part of the day sending freedom seeds downrange and enjoyed some Tannerite as well. Even with ammunition prices where they are at we definitely had the smell of gunpowder covering the area.

Tested some of the Global Ordnance SHK 30-rd AR magazines(currently sold out) I picked up for $6.99 – -flawless. Picture of one below.

    ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

Interesting this outtake from a recent hearing in Pennsylvania. Biden suddenly gets over 600,000 votes while Trump gains 3,200.

    ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

On Friday we headed out and visited several gun shops. Ammunition was scarce and when available ranged from expensive to expensive.

If ammo ever gets back to the old normal – DO NOT HESITATE and stock up!

    ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

TP continues to sell out at most stores I visit.

    Crazy.

    ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊ ◊

Joe Biden’s plans on gun control include mandatory gun buybacks, bans on high capacity magazines, limitations on the number of firearms that can be purchased monthly,  elimination of private gun sales, etc. Yeah – guns and ammo are expensive right now. If you are not in the guns and ammo position you want to be in – get there.

  • Food Storage Recipe: Oven-Roasted Turkey SPAM and Potatoes[2020]

Food Storage Recipe: Oven-Roasted Turkey SPAM and Potatoes[2020]

food storage, recipe, food recipe, SPAM, SHTF, preparedness, prepper, survival

What foods to store in a food storage program is a popular topic – but what about making meals from that food? Not so much.

With this recipe, I put together something a little different – Turkey SPAM & Canned Potatoes. SPAM is often considered a joke when it comes to food storage but the truth is it’s a viable source of sustenance. As a kid, I used to eat it on a regular basis thinking it came from small SPAM animals that were raised on a farm somewhere. I liked it but once I was old enough to decide what I ate I moved on to other things like……cake. Cake is good.

SPAM, turkey, survival, food storage, prepper, preparedness, recipe

Not knowing how well I would like SPAM some 30 years later I grabbed a can of Turkey SPAM. Out to the grill with a cast iron pan and a can of potatoes.

    Here we go…..

    Ingredients

    • 1 can Turkey SPAM(say that 10 times real fast)
    • 1 can Whole Potatoes
    • salt, pepper, seasoning as desired

    Instructions

    • Apply non-stick spray to frying pan or use a seasoned cast iron pan
    • Set temperature to medium to medium-high
    • Open the SPAM, cut into cubes or slices – place in frying pan
    • Open can of potatoes, drain excess fluid – empty into frying pan
    • Cook until browning has occurred on most pieces of SPAM and potatoes.
    • Apply seasoning when food is almost complete.
    • Turn SPAM and stir potatoes every few minutes until done.
    • Serve and enjoy

While this may not be the most delectable meal, however, I was surprised at just how good the SPAM was. Very good. I could imagine coming in from a cold winter patrol and absolutely loving this meal.

At 655 calories(50+ grams of protein) this is very filling for one but could be split between two people as well.

[TOP – Fresh on the grill]

[TOP – Turned and Stirred – Pepper Added]

Canned SPAM is an excellent source of protein with a long shelf life – and fairly inexpensive. In this specific meal a simple can of potatoes and can of SPAM makes for a pretty tasty meal.

    Now….where’s that cake at?

  • Bugging Out: Thoughts on Tires

    Bugging Out: Thoughts on Tires

I have a new truck(new to me) and looking at putting a set of tires on it. This is a 2019 RAM 1500 Classic Warlock 4×4. I’m living in a camper near my work right now and purchased the truck as I needed a reliable method of pulling the camper if things go FUBAR. I’ve been covering this over on Patreon BTW.

Back to the tires. As part of my bugout plan not only do I need to get a set of good tires – I need extra tires. No – not simply a spare. I feel the need to have at least two full-size tires is important. Right now I have a full-size spare but it is still a low mileage, low-speed temporary tire. I want a full-size dependable tire as a spare. Tires are so critical to a vehicle that losing a couple tires once the excrement hits the air distribution device would be catastrophic. My plan? Two full-size spares for the truck, and two for the camper.

Right now I’m looking at Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac’s for the truck.

Just a thought. Tires are not considered nearly enough as important as they are.

  • Review: Tac-Mag Gun Magnet

    Review: Tac-Mag Gun Magnet

The Tac-Mag Gun Magnet is a great solution for carrying a gun in a car or positioning it – well, pretty much anywhere you want. Using a very strong magnet it is capable of holding up to 25 pounds. Mounting takes place via 2 holes – one on each end.

    gun magnet, gun, pistol, magnet

    gun magnet, gun, pistol, magnet

    gun magnet, gun, pistol, magnet

Potential uses include the aforementioned vehicle mounting(check local laws), under tables, door frames, side of a nightstand, inside gun safe, inside a footlocker, on a wall, etc. The possibilities are endless.

Something to consider is the Tac-Mag Gun Magnet can be used for more than just guns. As long as whatever you are placing on the magnet is made of ferrous metal(steel) and not plastic, aluminum, or stainless steel you’re good.

Here are a few pictures of how people are using the Tac-Mag.

(UPDATE) AR Magazines available now for $6.99 each

UPDATE 11/14/2020: These are still available. No better time than right now to grab them.

With the threat of major gun control right around the corner stocking up on those items that may get hard to get just makes sense. Looking for inexpensive AR magazines? Click RIGHT HERE and they are available for $6.99 each. Do some research on the ‘net to see what people think of them. Yeah – they work just fine.

Here are a few pics of my latest shipment:

    steel, AR magazine, inexpensive, cheap,

SHK, AR magazines, magazines, high capacity, SHTF, prepper, preparedness

SHTF, prepper, preparedness, WROL, AR magazine, AR-15

The construction and finish appear to be excellent. In two billet lowers they fit fairly snug, which is not uncommon. In a regular AR lower – no problem – smooth.

With the high likelihood of significant gun control measures being taken over the coming few years this deal should not be passed up. Those that remember what it was like after the “Assault Weapons Ban” back in the 90’s – not fun.
