I just came across this and wanted to pass it on as I don’t know how long it will be in stock. I know these prices are still insane – but a lot less insane than what I’ve been seeing lately. Figured I’d share…..
$550 for 1000 rounds of steel .223. It was $200 in February. Not trying to be snarky, just amazed that, again, ammo is an issue for some. I think the last time was 2017.
I got caught in the Clinton ban. I had to pay $50 for a $20 magazine. Swore that that would be the last time. Then in 1996 we “settled” and have a basement where I could store stuff. I could buy ammo by the case, and have a place to put the stuff I didn’t shoot that weekend. And it started from there.
Not just ammo. I tell anyone who will listen, you need to have your own warehouse. Refill your pantry from there and replenish when time/money/availability come together. It works.
Agree 100%. That why I admit to the high price. Those caught in need can at least maximize their dollars. Food, ammo, cleaning supplies – everything should be stocked.
I won’t even run steel cased stuff in my 5.56 platforms. I let the AK eat some of it (I’m ashamed to admit) and even that is a fairly valuable old Chinese built one one. I suppose if you got caught flat footed here it would be good to swallow hard and take the dry corn cob up the back side. lol
I’ve shot thousands of rounds of steel cased. Gobbles ’em up. Yum!!!!
I’m sure they do but I have some rather expensive stamped toys that I’m not going to run it through. If I was just putting it through “home built” I don’t think I would care.
Hahaha!! Site says its ammo is marked down from 725.00. So, cheap Russian ammo was going for .72 a round, I don’t think so. Glad I’m stocked up. Been helping son-in- law out with some ammo sales to him from my stockpile though.
