When loading magazines – Where are your eyes looking? For most, looking at your hands while they insert rounds in the magazines is common.

I suggest changing that practice so you are always looking around and allow the loading of magazines to become instinct NOT requiring you to visually focus on the ammo and magazine.

Consider the tactical advantage of being able to load magazines and at the same time stay focused on a door or an area of land.

It just makes sense.

I recently got word from a knife aficionado that after complete and thorough testing the Schrade Frontier line of knives is excellent. I have to admit I was a bit surprised. He said he literally beat the hell out of these knives and they held up amazingly. His testing has resulted in broken knives in the past. Needless to say, I am looking at the line with increased interest.

I’m really liking the Schrade SCHF38 Frontier.

You know, it is absolutely amazing that we don’t know how much we don’t know. I’m 71 years old. Just got thru reading a good book on simple basics of handgun handling. I’m going back to the beginning and try to “unlearn” bad habits and develop muscle memory for new habits. After all these years of shooting, all the way back to somewhere around 1962, there are things I did not learn correctly. Oh well, maybe it’s not too late.

By the way, I noticed the book in your list “Ebola Pandemic Survival List”. The newest coming out of Africa is Marburg. Has a 90% mortality if contracted.
