From the Desk of John Rourke – June 26th, 2017

I had mentioned that last week had been super busy. Well, it continued into the weekend. All good but very busy. Had planned a kayak trip Sunday morning but still getting over this sickness that has been running through the house.

While so many celebrities have decided to become political and call out segments of the population as racists, homophobes, inhuman, anti-children, anti-old people, and just simply mean and stupid there are a few things that can be done in recourse.

First- as a consumer do NOT give them or any of their projects your money. They get paid millions of dollars to sit atop their hypocritical throne. Spending money on their movies and other projects is supporting them. I won’t do it.

Second – spread the word to whom these people are. Far too many like-minded folks have no idea some of the ridiculous things these celebrities have said about YOU.

Lastly – that is really what you need to understand. It is personal. They are talking about YOU. Will Smith said of Trump supporters that you are “collectively insane”. Robert De Niro, while saying Hillary Clinton has “earned her right to be President” refers to Trump supporters as “crazy”. There are many more who state that anyone voting for Trump – or for ANYONE in the Republican Party is a racist and a fascist. The bottom line is if you do not believe what they believe and support who the support, well, your just one of “them”.

So…no more Avenger movies for me. Screw ’em. Likely wasn’t going to ever buy another Madonna CD anyways so no big loss. George Clooney may be a decent actor but I’ll pound sand before funding ANY venture of his. Cher…..nevermind. Jimmy Fallon? No loss there. Adam Baldwin can suck rocks. No Jennifer Lawrence movies for me(so overrated). Arnold Schwarzenegger- true disappointment. No Kerry Washington for me.

There are many more……

Laid out more mulch this weekend in the garden. Youngest wanted to buy something so I gave him a chore list including the removal of tall grass along the back side of the garden. This is an area I have not used in a couple years and used to have strawberry’s planted there.

Decided to place four additional raised beds in the garden locating them in that back area where Chris cleaned up. Went ahead and built one 2′ x 4′ :

raised bed, gardening, survival gardening, SHTF,

One of my favorite times of the year – SHARK WEEK – on Discovery Channel is fast approaching.

As of this writing, it appears my youngest – Chris – has broken his foot while over at his girlfriend’s house. He will be taken to the ortho doctor tomorrow.

FYI – he has broken both arms and his OTHER foot before. Lordy.

Hope the household gets better! We have 3 boys (all grown) and I can tell you that their survival rate goes up dramatically if you can get them past age 25.

Just read a story on a Canadian sniper team in Iraq (JTF2). Set a new record using a McMillan TAC-50 at 3540 meters–2.2 MILES. Incredible.

All of you who frequent 1776 Patriot can feel free to start setting aside and saving to get me a TAC-50 for Christmas.

JR .. You know I had one that broke the same ankle 3 times… She apparently thought she cold fly as they were all jumping out of trees. She now has instructions that she must either grow wings or stop jumping out of trees. Tell Chris I said hey.. and cut it out … My similar adventures now down to the last one.

i’ve been dealing with an ear infection here.. mine.. fish biotics worked… All strong antibiotics unfortunately have similar affects… Have to stay close to home base.
TEST What you plan to use later now, while the docs are available to you IMO.

I quit giving Liberalwood my money a while ago.Don’t worry .. at the rate business is leaving CA and what little consumers can do… they should be poorer…. It is sad that patriotic and God fearing men and women are shunned once they say something publicly from the stage.

I read several accounts of the shot with the Mc TAC-50. What I have been looking for is the info that said whether he was using a mounted shot computer or a spotter and tables. Not that it diminishes the result either way. I’d probably go with a Barrett .. I played with one of those recently… You just can’t shoot either unless you reload.. Reading the history on the .50 cartridge is illuminating. the how and why it was devised and it’s LONG term success is very interesting.

I’m so much more at peace knowing you have validated fish biotics do work. The only thing I need to go with mine. Is the medical book that tells you what dosages go with what sickness, age, and what not.

      1. goingray58 says:

In general 500mg daily for smaller adults 3x for larger.. suits for most antibiotics. 250mg for children same 2x 3x idea depending on size. It isn’t that critical on oral antibiotics.. something over a minimum blood level is ok as long as it isn’t grossly over it. IMO Allergies to a particular type are much more of a problem as the reactions can be VERY tough to deal with and deadly if not dealt with. The good news is they are not all that common.. hence testing before you need it. Giving it someone you don’t know is a whole nother ball game though.

I’ve recently been looking at the injectable veterinary grade meds. They would still work as well for like chemical composition… but they are much more effective. Also more worrisome. Dosage tables and weights are more important there. The reason I am looking is that a bolus of antibiotic either to treat a wound prophylactically or quickly kick a respiratory or internal GI infection and follow up with oral .. gets the job done or ragged or dirty wounds.. or severe infections that have already been established. This isn’t medical advice … just my thinking. So don’t take it that way. (more for anyone reading than you Capt. I know you know this). Having it in your printed and electronic library woudl be a big plus.

That would be “The Survival Medicine Handbook” by the Alton’s. There is a section in the book “How to Use Antibiotics” and specifically reference fish antibiotics.

Yeah, when Robert Downy and the Chris Evans started opening their mouth. I was like…sheesh. There goes a large part of any of the movies I will be watching or anything else they make. Then Johnny opened his mouth. More and more..my list is getting ever so big of the people I refuse to support with my money.

Agreed the power of the consumer is mighty and effective.
Is your son very active? If not then check his bones as he may need more calcium.-or
drink more milk and dairy products.
Yes the Fish mox ( doxycycline)recently cleared up a chest infection for me .Remember to always eat
yogurt or take acidophilus tablets -as the antibiotics kill the good and bad bacteria and the yogurt and acidophilus keep the good bacteria activated-otherwise you can end up with a yeast infection ( vaginal or rectal-which is very itchy and sore ) .Creams are
available for yeast infections but they are messy and pricey.
