Terrible news about Mary Tyler Moore. Grew up watching her TV shows. She gave many people a lot of laughs.

So looking forward to seeing the construction of the wall begin stopping illegal immigration from Mexico.

The stock market is climbing, the economy is growing – and silver prices are going back up. Something has to give and I suspect it’s silver. I see prices in the not-to-distant future dropping dramatically. I will be taking advantage.

Just finished The Jakarta Pandemic. Fantastic book and extremely entertaining. I haven’t experienced that level of suspense at the end of a book in quite some time. Bought and started listening to the sequel The Perseid Collapse. So far enjoying it.

Instead of a wall between Mexico and fUSA, how about ten miles (not ‘kilometers’) of scorched earth, carpet-bombed, into Mexico. No water, no food, no shelter. Drone strikes against trespassers, no appeal.

    Let’s get serious about this.

Sounds about right musty. I have always said that there should be guns set up with auto targeting and thermal imaging sight systems. They could just be checked once a week to check on ammo status and have the film chips changed out so they could review the action. The buzzards and coyotes could be the clean-up crew.
By the second day the illegal flow would have abated.

Supposedly there is to be a meeting between the US and Mexico to discuss among other things, the wall and NAFTA. Mexico is coming with a sack full of demands stating that the US needs to understand that any wall will severely impact the US. Supposedly, we buy many products from Mexico via NAFTA. Sure we do. Textiles hits me first since my family had a small sewing shop to produce uniforms for nurses etc. Even though we were not union, we were victimized by NAFTA. We had up to 60 people working one day, the next we closed because the buyers could get it dirt cheap from Mexico. So, yes, we do buy a lot from Mexico from companies who were originally here. Mexico also states they have “rights” to assure the money from the illegals continues to flow to Mexico. No they don’t. We should tax all wire transfers (Western Union) from the US to Mexico. My paycheck is taxed, why not theirs? As far as I’m concerned, when the meeting takes place, Mexico should be told in no uncertain terms. We are not here to negotiate US law. We are here to assure you understand how the new sheriff in town is going to enforce it. These are the terms. We don’t care if you like it or not.

Oren, you are correct, it seems Mexico, Chicago, and others think Trump is open to to their demands as other presidents have been, I think not.

  3. Lightning says:

John P -good point but Trump stated last night that along with the wall ,he is requesting about 5,000 more border patrol agents and prisons built along the border.
Time will tell but finally the agents have permission to do their job properly again,

Watching with hope to see how everything comes together for the wall….there are some GREAT problem solvers in DC.

Picking up books as you list them…thank you!

Off topic but want to put this out there, not sure how to help right prevail before the publicity takes another good one down. At noon today in Iowa City Iowa, on the Ped Mall where students from The University of Iowa gather, a small group was starting a protest by burning the American flag. A solitary man actually DID step in to stop it, grabbing the flag. He returned for the second flag he knew they had but without the element of surprise was unable to change their setting fire to it also. The resolve and courage he displayed will most likely result in his being “fired” himself as he was on duty and in his FED EX uniform. It made the evening news in Eastern Iowa but without patriots to support his incredible actions, the outraged left will clamor for his dismissal for sure. (Not sure if it is on YouTube but it made FB….barstoolsports.com is where the video played.) Can one of you tech guys make sure it makes it to YouTube and HOW do we get it to go viral? I will be calling Fed Ex to give them my thumbs up to their appreciated employee but what else can be done? Ideas?

    1. JR says:

      Thanks joyce.

I was not aware of the flag burning incident. I support the Fed Ex worker and you are correct he will likely lose his job.

Here is the video – be aware there is a good amount of profanity:

Promise this is going to get around. I’m going to try to get it on my Instagram account.

  5. joyce says:

THANKS JR….SO many times one wonders why no one DOES anything in situations like this. Well, he DID something…thank you “FedEx Dude” and THANK YOU all you Patriots/Military members who lead the way with your example…i needed that reminder. Sorry for the profanity…worth slogging through though.

Just finished re=reading jakarta pandemic and found I had missed a few things, didn’t miss him ragging on ‘right wingers’ again though. Just started and about 1/2 way through the Perseid collapse, odd how he went from a avoid conflict guy to doing mainly head shots and getting into the fight as soon as possible but still ragging on ‘right wingers’ – now targeting militia members. ( I still think many will be a problem post-shtf, but that’s my own opinion) Interesting to see how it plays out, the bugout scene from the neighborhood was quite telling – thinking a ‘drone’ would have been perfect item to have to do scouting before they left.
