Video: CZ Scorpion EVO 3 9mm Carbine

I used to own a Marlin Camp 9 9mm carbine and really enjoyed it. The carbine length barrel would zip that 9mm bullet downrange with a bit more oomph. Even out to 75-100 yards it was a ball hitting soda cans and milk jugs.

At my local gun shop – Nichol’s Store – I spotted the CZ Scorpion EVO 3 9mm carbine. I mistakenly thought it was a Sig MPX but soon discovered my error. I took a look and really liked how it felt. As an “All–American Gun Nut“ would love to add this to my collection. With the folding stock reminds me a bit of the AR-180 concept as far as storability and concealment.

    These are very cool carbines, but the cost is pretty hefty. Also the fact that the caliber is limited to just the 9mm currently is distressing for those of us who shoot other calibers.

    I see that High Tower Armory is creating a Bullpup conversion for the Hi Point Carbines that come in 9mm, .40S&W, and .45 ACP, which have been around for years. It looks interesting and if it proves to be a good upgrade, it would put you into a nice pistol caliber carbine for much less than half the cost of the CZ Scorpion Evo. I am leery of Hi Points pistols, but have shot the carbines with no issues other than their bulk. So I cant wait to try them out.

    I put together some P.S.A. blem pieces of their AR9 to have an affordable AR 9mm pistol that uses my 33rd Glock magazines. Thats working well for standardization of mags w G34 pistol.
