Red Dawn(1984) Scene – Col. Tanner Explains How The War Began

One of my favorite scenes in the 1984 movie Red Dawn was when Col. Tanner described how the war started. Listen to what he says in this scene and then again. A lot of details are  missed by most the first time around.

Powers Boothe was a solid actor. He had that Texas twang and the throwing of the flammable liquid in the fire at just the right time really made the scene powerful.

“What started it?”

“I dunno, two toughest kids on the block I guess…sooner or later they’re gonna fight.”

“That simple?”

“I dunno…..maybe somebody just forgot what it was like.”

On with the scene……

Wolverines!!!!!

I remember when that came out. I was in the ARMY,FT Bragg NC. We stood in a long line just to get in. For the times it was a great movie. You never know,it could still happen. Hope not.

    this from 1984.
it seems eerily similar as to what has been happening here for a while now and it’s not just from the south. it’s coming from the north as well. not to mention what Kamala and Biden have been flying in on chartered flights.
the undocumented and the unvetted and the terrorists, they are in every Jiffy Mart and in every meat packing house ( Tyson is the worst ) in this country just waiting for the GO signal.. we have already been invaded. the Blue states and cities have become the staging grounds for what is to come for a long time.
the states and federal gov. have been spoon feeding these people until the call comes in for them to act. why else would they give them free cell phones??
most likely to disrupt the elections when the time comes. maybe soon.
get ready, it’s coming. don’t wait until it starts. it will be to late then. sustainable food, sustainable water, pew pews to keep what you have and a prepared community with comms to keep everyone apprised of any incoming.
every truck and fishing boat here has a radio. we won’t eat the bastards but they will be good for gator bait.
