24+ Hour 3-Wick Candle for Less Than $4

I picked up a couple of 3-wick candles at Walmart and figured I’d test one out to see how long it would burn. Candles are one of the most basic preps people usually think of and for good reasons. Candles are inexpensive and provide much-needed light when the power fails – or setting the tone for a romantic interlude.

I never thought the words “romantic interlude” would ever show up within the pages of this site. Times are a changing!!

Let’s get back on task. The candle was less than $4, has 3-wicks, and weighs 11.5 ounces. Beyond throwing out 3 wicks of light it also provides the wonderful scent of Peach & Mango. I guess if the shit does ever hit the fan might as well have a pleasant scent while fighting off the Chinese and Ruskies, right?

I placed the candle in my wood stove around 8AM just prior to heading to work.

Came home that evening to the pleasant scent of peaches and mangoes.

The candle continued to burn past 8PM and I was impressed. 12 hours and counting. I went to bed, dreamt of cases and cases of freeze-dried food and a bunker to put them in, and woke up to – peaches and mango? Could it be?

Yup – 24 hours after first lighting the $4 3-wick candle it was still going. I left to run some errands that Saturday morning and came back several hours later and it was out. So – 24 hours plus some is fantastic for $4. Another positive is these are available locally so no shipping.

Got candles?

Thank you for answering a question I’ve had for a long time! I’ve been buying these for years, just because I like the variety of scents they have and they’re so much cheaper than other brands, but I’ve wondered just how long they’d last when I really need them. I’ll have to try the Peach & Mango!
