From the Desk of John Rourke – July 31st, 2017

Fantastic weather this past weekend. Cool mornings and mid to low 80’s during the day. Saturday took a trip down the river in our kayaks with some friends. Great trip. Went to a new restaurant that opened up in the river district.

Sunday the wife and I went to a local historic landmark also involving the Catawba River. Very interesting reading about how commerce and transportation of goods were handled on the river. I often think if I had the chance to go back in the 1800’s and see how life was lived I would. It would be so interesting.

Things are getting interesting. Those that state we have nothing to be worried about from North Korea fails to understand the complexity of the situation.

Let’s hope things cool down.
