Wuhan Coronavirus Update

The streets in Wuhan, China remain almost completely absent of both human and vehicle traffic. Supplies are drying up and over 60 million people remain quarantined. The numbers coming out of China are daunting at best and likely understated. Being a communist country China is well known for manipulating the truth. Evidence suggests the virus is much worse than being publicized.

Currently, there are 14,652 cases worldwide(23 countries) and 305 deaths. Many of the worlds leading infectious disease experts suggest that Wuhan Coronavirus will likely become a pandemic. Time will tell. Reports are this virus is much more contagious than the flu virus, however, the lethality is still to be determined.

With 8 total cases so far in the United States and only one who has not visited China there is a reason for concern, but not worry. At least not yet. The next few weeks will really shed some light on the significance of this virus.

How many cases will develop in the US? Deaths?

Will infected patients be found in your city or town? If so, how did they contract the virus?

Keep prepping my friends. If the Wuhan coronavirus turns into a serious problem in the US taking a few steps now may make all the difference.

Couldn’t agree more, stocking up on a few extra items now. In Australia the prices of masks has already gone through the roof, I brought some for my family due to the bushfires here in December at $8 now the same mask is $42 each as of January . Stay safe !

It is good to see that President Trump has issued some travel restrictions. Sooner would have been better. The airlines are doing their part.
Now it’s a matter of taking all necessary precautions and playing the wait and see game.

    Good luck to all.

    Good advice Rourke.
I am glad we have some masks already because the prices have skyrocket and many stores and on line are OUT of stock. China ( where most of these are made) are asking us to send them some .I know because a friend works for a company that has a branch in China.
Also get in some bleach and sani-gel and gloves if you haven’t already.
I doubt the statistics are accurate for several reasons.( ignoring symptoms, fear to report-gov, lying)

How is everyone doing on this Palm Sunday ? We had a campfire today and burned up some branches that had fallen over the winter. This is the first campfire of the season and it was relaxing to do something normal during this pandemic. We roasted some marshmallows and said some prayers and enjoyed these simple blessings. Has is everyone doing ? We had out first death from corona 9 in our county .20 other people have tested positive and are at home quarantined NY .Gov. declared that any one in public who is closer to another with in 6 feet must wear a mask. I go out very rarely but I wear a mask and gloves as do most others.
Try to buy your meat from local farmers because there will definitely be a shortage in few weeks if some of the large packing plants must remain closed from so many of their employees being sick. Smithfield just had 600 employees sickened from corona so they had to shut down.
