Winter is coming……
Video sharing below is one of the first drives up our driveway after moving into the cabin in early 2023. A big snowstorm came through and Kass and I were both very glad we had 4-wheel drive vehicles.
Hoping we get a good amount of snow. I hate cold rain.
We have the woodstove cleaned out, the wood is stacked, and we are ready to go!!

Absolutely beautiful, but definitely 4WD weather! Now that I’m no longer working, I’ve been begging Mother Nature to snow us in for a day or two, and she’s ignored me for the last 5 years. I just want one nice, heavy snowfall so I can sit inside my warm house and say “Ha, ha. I don’t have to go anywhere”. lol
Hope you get that snowstorm soon!

it’s funny. if someone forecasts a 1/4 inch of show here in the deep So. everything shuts down, schools, businesses. government offices, EVERYTHING.
Yup. When I lived in SC any hint of snow would have people freaking out. Probably 20 years ago the area around Charlotte, NC received 18 inches – yes – 18 inches of snow. Took me 5.5 hours to drive 22 miles as the traffic was nuts and the weather forecast was 5-6″ max.
They were off just a tad.
