    Holy Monday Batman!!! It felt like a barrel full of monkey’s trying to hump a door knob. It was horrible. Now to CRUSH the rest of the week and make it a distant memory.

    I own a Mossberg 930 Blackhawk shotgun…..and absolutely no gear for its support. I have plate carriers, vests, and LBE targeting the AR platform and backup pistols but nothing for shotguns. I need to change that.

    I’ve been looking at getting a Condor MCR4 Molle Vest, adding a couple Condor 25 Round Shell Pouch and a TAG Molle Shotgun Shell Rack. This would add up to approx 68 if all shell spots are filled and fit.

    Below is a similar setup with one missing Condor pouch.

    OK – I’m not talking .50 BMG here but a devastatingly powerful round is likely readily available to you. I am referring to the Winchester 12 gauge Super-X BRI Sabot Slug. This is a .50 caliber 437 grain slug sent down range upwards of 1400fps……and 1800 pounds of energy. “BOOM!!”

    Ballistics are not everything. Not a believer? Just ask every single shooter who says 9mm is wimpy and 45ACP is everything. There is something to be said for shear mass and power and if that’s what you are looking for the Winchester BRI Sabot Slug is an excellent choice.

    Every 12 gauge slug is a beast but I’m partial to the BRI sabot. I witnessed my brother take a deer with one back in the early 90’s and really enjoyed shooting it.

  • Prep’s This Week

    Prep’s This Week

     

    Not a whole lot done this past week. Worked on the storage shed at the retreat. That will be great once complete. Worked on my latest AR build which is almost complete and will share soon. Attended another ham radio class.  I also continued my reading of A Haunt for Jackals: Seven Cows, Ugly and Gaunt Book 3. Excellent series. I highly recommend it. Received three 1-ounce silver rounds from my subscription with Montana Rarities.

    Managed to pick up a couple new firearms – a Mossberg 930 Blackwater in mint condition and another S&W M&P15-22. Both came from a close friend and both were great deals.

    Looking forward to getting some time off around Christmas and New Years. Need to relax.

    Although not many tangible assets(other than the guns) were acquired planning for 2017 was continued.
