Writer’s block happens from time to time and I struggle to come with anything to share. Favorite pie? Apple. Favorite ice cream? Vanilla. Favorite pizza? All of it.
I shared some stuff. Whoop!!!!
The US Debt Clock is quickly ticking towards $29 trillion dollars. With the Biden administration looking at a $7 trillion budget there is little doubt that $30 trillion total debt is right around the corner. What’s interesting is the website – USDebtClock.org has a built-in time machine. Yes – you can actually click a button and time travel to 2025 and see what the national debt will be at that time. Care to gander a guess?
$50 trillion dollars
Yeah – $50 trillion. Insanity. Those of us who have had concerns about economic collapse, inflation, hyperinflation – and the entire breakdown of society when all that occurs may not have to wait long. 2025 is right around the corner. Another eye-opening prediction is that in 4 short years the total amount of money in circulation will grow by more than 100%.
Folks – many of us have been predicting when the SHTF and what will cause it. I’ll continue to go with economic collapse and when? Sometime between NOW and THEN. Yeah – specific dates I don’t know and neither does anyone else, but, I do know it’s inevitable.
HOPE
Is there hope? To save the “system”? No. While it’s certainly patriotic to talk about how great the idea of these United States is – it’s well past saving. The hope is directly related to actions that WE take for OURSELVES and those we LOVE. I’m going to going to pound into people’s heads the idea of the American Exit Strategy. I’m in the middle of mine(described in the Patriot Brigade Member Area). If not familiar – getting out of debt, moving out into the woods/country, and living as independently as possible.
I sincerely hope that you and I will continue to share thoughts and ideas as we continue towards what awaits us. We can get through as much of this as possible together.
Well – not too bad for someone with writer’s block.
’till next time.
Rourke
It seems that the majority of Americans don’t see that the problems our country is
facing are likely insurmountable. Most people do not have a basic understanding of
economics and finance. The malaise that has infected our country is the product of
Normalcy Bias.Everything is fine and we will be ok,right?
As an individual I feel helplessly unable to do anything to remedy the overwhelming
troubles that we face. We are in survival mode and it will soon be every man/family
for themselves.
Pull up your big boys and get busy. That’s all we can do.
Yup – that feeling of helplessness I recently described to a buddy as “despair.” I realize there is nothing you, I, or we can do other than prepare for ourselves.
Next time you have writer’s block, why not reprint a blog post from the past. Did you do that recently with the post “It’s Time to Shore Things Up”? I remember you posted something similar awhile back, and it really resonated with me. Your message of “Simply imagine if RIGHT NOW as you are reading this you cannot purchase ANYTHING. Whatever you have is what you have.” Very strong, very important message, especially for those of us gearing up for hurricane season (and that’s not even a long term scenario).
Thanks for the words, Leslie. I rarely republish old posts, however, an occasional Blast from the Past would be a good thing. Many that are recent arrivers here likely have not seen the majority of posts and articles. Yup – there is a storm heading towards the US in the Gulf. Hurricane season is underway. I live in hurricane country as well.
I have a couple of scenario posts that are pretty thought-provoking. I’ll look to republish soon.
Thanks Rourke- pretty good for writers block-smile !!!
Walmart ammo shelves today were practically empty. The grocery store has lots of paper good though and so we are steadily stocking up along with disposable masks
and made in the USA ( hard to find) hand sanitizer for next years flu season .
The vegetable garden has mostly been planted – a few items to go.
With all the challenges- taking some time each day to count ones blessings, enjoy nature- pray and prepare as best we can is all we can do.
If we get a giant solar flare (CME) it will not matter how many trillion the national debt is-but having enough water and food will matter.
