It seems to me that modern medical technology and our “civilized society” has created an environment whereby far too many safety factors that been initiated and generated a population of individuals that natural selection would have weeded out long ago. Generations have been produced from those individuals that otherwise would be absent from the face of the planet and now roam the streets producing countless genetically mediocre dependents who are a drag on society.
Maybe I’m being a bit harsh?
Probably.
Many of those whom I speak are planning on heading to a transgender rally this weekend whereby they will be exchanging Post-It Notes on the best doctors who are talented at removing the “franks and beans” from males and assisting them in their fantasies that they are actually in fact – female.
Maybe I’m old school.
Lord help us.

There might be some truth to that but on the other hand modern big pharma has almost everyone on pharmaceuticals that actually cause harm to them and probably shorten their lives. Let food be thy medicine.
Yes big pharma is once again -making profits on those who are confused.
When a person turns 18 then ift hey wish to pursue a change that is their choice but until then I believe you are what your birth genitals are.
I was a tomboy my whole life but at age 16 I got in touch with being a
young woman .
With all that is out there re: needs to survive- need for food and water -and fuel-natural disasters-nuclear threats- socialism etc. what we need is common sense and unity for our country .May the Republicans prevail
tomorrow . Arlene
PS Big pharma is also behind the chemotherapy where big bucks abound ( I just received a bill for $72,000 for 4 chemo tretments= yes medicare and my insurance cover most but the co-pays are horendous. If all this money went to stopping chemicals in our food and water and air -maybe then we could cure cancer) Meanwhile I am opting for Vit c infusions ( not covered by insurance ) and most probably stopping chemo treatments.
I have to agree with Arlene, nobody really knows what the cumulative effects are from all the chemical additives that are out in our food. It seems the Hippocratic oath is out the window when profits are involved.
I tell people this story all the time, because nearly 10 years later I’m still horrified: When my daughter was in college, she developed a fever of unknown origin. No other symptoms, no signs of infection. It kept climbing no matter what she did, so she finally had a friend take her to the ER. This wasn’t our usual hospital, but it was the closest. All they did was draw blood that they left sitting on her bedside tray, then they came back an hour later to announce that she just had the flu and “here’s a prescription”. She got it filled without looking at it, then once back home she called me and said “Mum, I don’t think I should take this.” They’d given her Oxycodone.
Everything evolves of course… simple definition of evolution… If you live long enough to breed (or replicate/duplicate cellularly), then whatever changes are there, if any are passed onto the next ones as a generational activity. Micro to macro the generations of organisms arun shorter to longer … A generation of days means the species evolves faster, so microbes mutate and spread much faster than humans and animals in general, and can adapt. simple stuff. We tend to think about evolution in a physical sense. That is true but incomplete. Microbes “Bugs” are faster, but we are smarter. In a sense medical technology is an evolutionary adaptation to prolong the species as well.
Mutations and or adaptations are one of three things.. negative for the species, neutral or positive as it relates to survivability and longevity.
Worse, better or just different with no net effect at that time. Any state can become another based on later interactions.
Some medical advances are good for us and some are not. A good one this year may be negative 10 years from now or neutral or positive. We know so little that often the unintended consequences are just that. Add politics and known negatives are covered over in favor of fiscal or political benefit… we’ve seen that recently. It’s artificial but still evolutionary. Those artificial decisions are increasing as the value of all life, is decreasing. At one point medical dissection was blasphemous (religiously), whereas long term, it was clearly beneficial (medically). I can’t ever imagine where abortion or the deliberate taking of a life in that way will ever be beneficial for any reason, either Nature or Nurture.
When i was born there were 3.2 billion people on the earth, and now there are closer to 9 billion. At some point whether it’s a “bug” from the slums and sewers of China or india, a nuclear event, yellowstone eruption, or a planet killer, it is certain change will occur and we will continue or WE WILL BEGIN AGAIN either here or elsewhere. Likely if technology plays a role at all, it will be in our destruction, rather than our assencension.
To me all the pointless squabbling between nations and individuals is nothing more cosmically, than my chickens squabbling over a piece of ripening, if not rotting fruit. In an effort to “get their share” they tear it apart. What was wrong has become right or allowable. Better we should have a millstone around us and tossed into the sea. (An indirect biblical paraphrase obviously). Do we have a right to exist in all our forms? Above my paygrade I’ll have to ask Him. 🙂
A little dark I suppose.. Hey it’s Monday rainy and cloudy.
“I/WE” do the best that we can and pass along what we learn to the next crew, in the hopes it will help them.
Prepare, learn and teach everyone
