I’ve struggled to just get this started. How do I convert the thoughts running through my head into words? I’m going to give it a shot.
For the last few decades I’ve been a survivalist. A prepper. Whatever. I started off planning for the inevitable conflict between the Soviet Union and the United States. Bunkers, fallout shelters, civil defense, ventilation systems, filters, dosimeters…..oh my! The Soviet Union fell and the likelihood of nuclear war declined to an afterthought.
The years flew by and nuclear war was replaced with concern over economic collapse, pandemics, and terrorism. Numerous people pointed to the growing national debt(including me) and proclaimed catastrophe is just over the horizon as it peaked over $10 trillion, then $15 trillion, then $20 trillion. The national debt grew and the predictions of massive inflation, super hyperinflation, and collapsing economies never happened. Well, at least not yet.
Terrorism after 9/11 was on everyone’s mind and the possibility of dirty bombs, attacks on the grid, and contamination of water supply had many of us preparing just in case. Books and articles were written on how to prepare for the inevitable. The inevitable never happened.
So where does this leave us?
The future remains uncertain. What I know is what is happening RIGHT NOW:
- Our 1st Amendment rights are under relentless attack.
- Our 2nd Amendment Rights are being threatened.
- We are living in the midst of a global pandemic that has literally changed the very way society functions.
- The National Debt is about to hit $28 trillion, and likely $30 trillion by the Fall of 2021.
- Inflation is beginning to take hold and government sources are estimating 2.2% in 2021(not including fuel and food).
- We have a political system that’s largely corrupt and who or which party sits in a political seat is largely unimportant.
- BLM, Antifa, and other groups remain motivated to generate change and further erode the very fabric of America.
- We have the most radical Administration ever elected in the White House – and in control of Congress.
While many of us have read countless stories of apocalyptic fiction with dozens of scenario’s we are living in a new one. This is our SHTF and while it may not be all that we thought it would be it is significant and serious.
So while there are no zombies and the power is still on – the future remains uncertain and unpredictable. We truly don’t know what things will look like at the end of 2021.
Should you prepare? Whether you call it preparedness or simply adapting to changing times the answer is YES.

WE feel like we are literally living out a dystopian novel. Maybe a modern version of 1984?
Think back 10 years…. do any of you think we would have thought this modern world would really be a thing? Think about it. Chicom agents have openly infiltrated our government. We have suffered a biowarfare attack that has permanently crippled our infrastructure. The illegitimate rulers have taken away free speech, the right to dissent. The constitution is under attack and, I believe, will be gone in a few years. If not sooner.
The government run media is blatantly covering up almost all of this from what remains of the free population.
Nobody, and I mean nobody, would have believed this just a few years ago. Even my Wife, who is one of us, STILL cannot believe much of this is true. Her brain cannot process it. She has, more than once, shared that maybe it’s a dream, a literal dream, because this world cannot possibly be real.
Maybe this is the ‘future world’ park from the Westworld franchise, that we are all just paying a bit actor part in?
On a side note, our Grandmother died yesterday. Of the covid vaccine. She was fine, they gave her the first shot, she got covid and died. Week long process of misery for her. No vaccine, she’d be alive.
Second side note: Our local PD is running out of ammo. They have authorized regular 9mm ball as duty ammo, as a result. Whatever you can scrounge. My Brother, who’s a cop, has taken his 45LC SAA army out of his safe. It may end up being his duty gun, as he still has ammo for that.
Why the rush to establish a colony on the Moon and Mars? Do you think the wealthy and Government officials are telling us everything? Instead of building bunkers to survive an apocalypse, the wealthy are procuring rockets to space that they can escape the devastation that may come.
Sheltie, sorry to hear about your Grandmother, we will a prayer for her. Methane, you may be right, I have thought that scenario more than once. John, from what I see on the reliability on green energy and the left’s for it, we may not have a reliable source of power.

The future seems pretty certain to me. There is nothing new under the sun.
All of our rights were stripped with the Patriot Act. We expect SHTF to begin with a starter gun (pun intended) and it’s game on. Unlike the Soviet invasion into Poland, the New World invasion began in Western Civilization over a hundred years ago. It’s incremental.
We’ve been allowed, perhaps even encouraged to arm ourselves so we can kill each other saving them the bloody trouble until we are so beaten down that the few remaining can be ruthlessly, deviously tortured into complete humiliated annilation.
The ‘pandemic’ is a ritualistic, trauma-based, state-sponsored mind-control event that further divides us between Believers and non-believers. Go to the Moderna website, they say the vaccine is NOT a vaccine since it has no Covid in it, but rather, is a DNA alteration. This alteration is believed by some to exacerbate existing conditions sometimes causing instant death. Many suggest the alteration destroys the natural immune system making any virus let loose in the future deadly. Some others suggest nanochips are being embedded. I suppose anything is possible in a world that looks like a Picasso.
The National Debt is owed to a very small number of international bankers and is backed by everything everybody owns. The stimulus checks are just another psychological tactic to ‘win the hearts’ of the victims. The Great Reset is coming SOON — Wait for it.
Inflation (or better yet, hyperinflation) is the remedy for the national debt according to the Keynesian School. All the better to oppress you, my dear. Control through money and hunger and cold.
Our political system hasn’t changed in a hundred years. Politicians have been bought and paid for over a century, doing the work of their lords. How did we get the Federal Reserve in the first place? How did we get into two world wars? Who benefited from those wars? Where did our immigration laws come from?
And while you didn’t mention it … How about the media and big tech? Many think of them as independent, siding with the liberals. But they are owned by the same folks who own the banks and politicians. Their job is to dumb us down and tell us what we think. They convince us to believe polar opposites like it’s OK to kill a baby up to 24 hours after birth but you should go to jail for using an unapproved car seat. The double-minded man is unstable in all his ways. Western civilization has been destabilized. Reality Himself, Whom we should fear with holy reverence, the omnipotent, omnipresent, and invisible True and Only Sacred, namely, The Eternal Father, His Son the Lord Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit who is their Eternal Love, has been rejected and replaced by Unreality.
blm and antifa are just new names for groups like “Workers of the World, Unite” and the black panthers, that have used terror to disrupt society forever. Funded, organized and directed by the same small group that own all the central banks.
The most radical administration ever? Woodrow Wilson gave us the Federal Reserve, income tax, remembered as an advocate for democracy and progressivism, involved us in WWI with deficit spending. FDR, The good friend of Stalin and Churchill who lied us into WWII, the father of “socialist programs”. GW Bush the great destabilizer of the Middle East, creating the flood of violent immigrants to Europe. And the signer of the Patriot Act. There have been plenty of other radical events, we’ll just have to wait and see if this administration really outdoes all the others. I do agree with you they seem likely to take the cake since they’ve already voiced agreement with the Great Reset.
Should you prepare? For utter destruction? Our only hope is Divine Intervention!

I should have stated “most radical in modern times” when I referenced the Biden/Harris administration. Yes – even more radical than Bush’s one term.
Personally, I think the SHTF has already begun. It will only get worse. The globalist, swamp creatures and shadow government we have will watch for any resistance and kick back. If there is only luke warm resistance, the next more stringent layer will be applied to remove our rights. Their goal under the reset is to completely control us. With that said, don’t panic. Systematically get your prep’s in order. Be prepared to defend yourself. Don’t depend on the government for anything. If possible, no matter where you live, be prepared to go off grid. Grow your own food and be prepared to protect it. All this sounds simple, but it isn’t. But, if you want to survive, you have it to do. Me, I only worry about my family. I have what I refer to as “galloping diabetes”. I’m on three medications for just for the diabetes. Thank you Vietnam and Agent Orange. If we get to the point the government cuts off all VA benefits as well as access to my required med’s, I’ll have about 90 days. I’ll work like heck until that happens to prepare my family. But I truly think it’s coming.
I don’t use the word “pandemic”, which comes from “pan”, meaning “all”, and “demos”, meaning “people”. According to John Hopkins University, about one person out of 70 has gotten Covid-19. That’s less than 1.5% of the world’s population, which is nothing close to “all people”.
Semantics and word dissection doesn’t change the reality of what is happening. Don’t focus on the pandemic part of the article. Take it all in.
Every society since the beginning of time has done exactly what we see today. Compete by any means to concentrate the most wealth (however that is perceived at that point) and the most power into the least number of hands. This isn’t any different. When I asked my great greats, my greats and my grands as well as my parents, they all felt as we do. That their situation was unique, “never happened before”. In a broad sense that is true, because time and civilization moved forward and changed in the specifics. Things may have changed, but the motives are as old as Cain and Able.
If you go back far enough, say to Alexandria. Mankind in general had lost his center, became gluttonous and debauched, then imploded, sending the world into a near stone age. The next time, the plague struck down much of civilization, not to mention endless wars in-between. It has happened since and will again. I could walk up through time, but I won’t. Has mankind lost his center, his moral compass? Absolutely. Religion of its form has been a way to identify a way to behave that is fair and equitable. And yet we have killed each other for centuries for the difference in doctrine and dogma. Why you might ask? Because religion isn’t civil, once turned into a power structure to control and extort behavior. Don’t get mad, this isn’t about you, or whatever way you choose to worship. It’s about the repeated loss of a moral compass no matter how well intended. I feel certain none of the ones that precipitated a “religion” would recognize them today, including Christ.
Civilizations are not civil, and never have been. That is a bill of goods sold to control those who would aspire to become privileged. Again, power and wealth concentration while using the carrot and stick more and more. to control those who aspire in favor of those who have attained. Competition and civilization are brutish at best and brutal in all ways that matter. Our faux civilization is always at war with our baser natures. Some overcome them and many do not. I would posit that most do not, and that the expression is completely situational. By situational I mean a civilized man is also brutish, at need or whim. The very same individual, not different men.
The good news is that it is totally predictable on the larger stage, but that is the bad news as well. Nothing we can do will stop or prevent time and progression. The circle will complete and run its course as all circles must. Scream, and rant, do good things for people, or bad things to them. In the balance only your personal behavior and the example you set will inform anyone who you are, and who they can be. Every single person is an example, some being incomparably good, and others evil beyond all measure.
We inaccurately memorialize the past, like a mother remembers the joys of birth, but later denies the labor pains. It’s how we are built. Age and time cause us to remember things the way they never were. We hold then as an unattainable ideal of the past. In this we are alike. It’s the way we cope and move forward. Nat all do move forward, and that too is by choice.
Being disconsolate at the sorry state of affairs of the day, simply holds you back from becoming. Our choices decide whether we become good or bad and how we define it in ourselves and others. Choose what you can live with, and don’t concern yourself with the opinions of others. Either you learn and use what you learn, or not. You, becoming who you become, is the only reward you can ever expect to receive. So then. Are you who you should be?
What then is the final message of hope then? What is the summation? The answer is, “whatever you write for yourself beyond this last word.
“Be who you want to be, and when you cannot, then be whomever you must.”

All evidence points to you being a denier. Entitled to your opinion about COVID, of course. By the very definition of a pandemic, COVID is a pandemic – regardless of survivability. The percent which you used – 99.7% – if for certain age groups and those within specific levels of health. For hundreds of thousands of people in the United States, death cares little for opinions. People are dying every day. Many of these people have secondary health conditions. So what? They are dead. I know of entire families DEAD because they got together for Thanksgiving. Mother, Daughter, Father – and a brother. They likely thought it was mostly hype and everything would work out. It didn’t.
People can deny the facts and theorize they know more than doctors and scientists. They can proclaim #fakenews and find a select few medical people who disagree with the establishment medical community. Sure. You know what? People are still dying every day.

ZERO MENTION of Trumpers kicking down the doors of the Capitol to attempt to halt a peaceful transfer of power that, before 2021, was able to occur for a century+, as well as bringing a gallows and shouting “Hang Mike Pence!!”.
