I know from talking to many like-minded folks, especially those from northern states, it is this time of year they start experiencing “the feeling”. This feeling is related to preparing for the upcoming winter weather that can be so problematic in some areas. While I currently live in South Carolina, I grew up in New England and can remember many frigid, snow-filled days where the power was out for hours. Even today I still get that feeling around this time – every year.

Professional sports continue to disappoint with Drew Brees of the New Orleans Saints being the latest asshat to “protest”. He and several other teammates placed the name of the accused sexual assaulter from Kenosha who was shot and injured by police after resisting arrest. The details of that case can be found here, however, it remains a trend throughout professional sports to side with the terrorist group BLM and appear “woke”.
MLB, NBA, and the NFL can go suck it. I’m out!!

While many firearms are sold out across the nation and rising in price, and we all know about the ammunition scarcity – – magazines are beginning to tick up in price. I’ve seen several major online gun accessory retailers with prices slightly higher than normal. Other components such as AR uppers have jumped up in price.
How many of us if we could back in time would have stocked up more? If, and that is a BIG if, things return back to normal in the firearms and ammunition market stack it high and stack it deep!

Years ago I had a job where I had to use a soldering iron frequently. Via some juvenile antics by fellow employees burns were common. Back then I discovered Water-Jel. This lidocaine-based pain reliever worked great and I still keep it in the kitchen and in the medical supplies.
I highly recommend it!

September is National Preparedness Month. Not like we need a month dedicated to preparedness, but, it’s a good thing for spreading the word and getting average folks to take a few steps to be better prepared. September will be the last month that the Sawyer Water Filter Bucket Kits will be $9.99 with Free Shipping. There is also now an option to get two kits for $16.99, also with Free Shipping. I’ll be publishing a separate announcement but as things do components in the kit have risen in price so I have to increase the price slightly.
If interested in grabbing a few of these visit this page. I have well over 100 in stock and ready to go.

Prepper Checklist:
Right now is there a good first aid kit on every vehicle? How about a tourniquet?
If not make it happen and check that off your list.

Are pro sports still around. I’ve been totally weaned for a couple of years. I was a Baltimore colt fan as a boy, switched to the Houston oilers and then Tennessee titan fan for a couple years after that. So, I don’t care at all about any pro sports. I’ve been a Longhorn fan since about 1962 and followed all their men’s sports but the last couple of years only seen a couple of football games and nothing else. Think of all the cash that would be available if the pro athletes didn’t get paid such ridiculous amounts of money. God call us sheeple and it’s so true. Worship athletes, so-called celebrities, etc. it’s ridiculous. Through venting. That’s part of what is wrong with Merica. Truly breaks my heart. I’m praying for our, for you, and trying to prepare my family. I tell everyone I’m praying for the best but preparing for the worst. Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend and Keep Looking Up
Just a slight correction:
the sexual assault suspect in Kenosha was not killed. He’s currently in the hospital.
100% correct. I fixed the post.
Preparing for winter in the Northern Rockies is a ton of work though it helps me focus on survival activities rather sitting around anguishing over the current state of affairs.
I have zero tolerance for any athlete that will prostitute theirselves for the latest cause
while disrespecting our flag and our county.
Years ago radio commentator Paul Harvey got in hot water over a bumper sticker that a listener sent in.It read “ If I had known then what I know now I would have picked my own cotton.”
It’s a joke! It’s not politically correct.Its a joke!
