It’s disappointing to hear a segment of Trump supporters bail on him over one issue or even two as they disagree with Trump’s handling of certain issues. No one is perfect and there will be no President that does everything that everyone will agree with. Let’s have some perspective and realistic vision.

Cyberterrorism and hacking is a growing concern. Just this month hackers interrupted Washington, DC closed-circuit police camera systems. Reports are common that banks, businesses, and people are getting hacked. Due to how frequent this occurs it fails to get the notoriety which they once received.
What will happen should a nuclear power station or major electrical power station get hacked?

My stippling work continues onto another PMAG. This time a much more aggressive and effective pattern. Sharing with a few group members impression was positive but felt it was too aggressive. I don’t think so at all. The difference grasping ability is significant and tearing a mag from a chest rig is much more positive. Imagine a hand covered in slimy blood – the stippling would make a huge difference. Skateboard tape would assist as well.

Your hypothetical question re : hacking of power grid or Nuclear. Either one we are severely crippled -one resulting in death for millions-the other major struggles and many deaths also but survival would be possible for some.
Call your Rep. and the White House to harden the grid.

Jibbs – I purchased a wood burning kit which came with various different tips. A soldering iron will work as well although they usually only come with one tip type. I have started an “Intro to Stippling” article. I am a beginner but can provide some basic info. Enjoying it so far and plan to tackle a pistol frame in the near future.
Well I don’t agree with how he said he’d fund the wall. Primary export is produce.. and that tis hard to tell.. the business Kroger or whomever will just pass it along to the American consumer. So Mexico won’t pay anything. We will. I’ll be watching the things I buy and if labeled Mexico I won’t buy it. But I expect the Texas and California competitors to just raise their prices to match. Yeah I hope he fixes that tone .. and no one is perfect… If the cost increase goes to building an effective wall and people to man it .. I’ll go with it. Just don’t spend it ANYwhere else.
Though if Calexit continues I think we need to turn that wall north at the CA border and run it north. just sayin..

As it woudl take BILLIONS to harden the grid.. it won’t happen. Moreover the facilities owned by DOE (Nuclear reactors and such .. Iol pumping stations.. generation plants all use the public internet to get communications and (Command and Control) done. It is not a question of whether, but when. A concerted cyber attack is a very real penalty for making a major nation state mad, or from a radical group that doesn’t like America.

Hey, I don’t buy anything from Mexico. I have turned my place into an edible landscape. I have always had a garden here since I moved here in ’88 but now even the trees and shrubs produce food. I built large solar arrays which produce more power then I use. We can all do these things and more to become more self sufficient.

JR…true, there is no politician we would ever be 100% in agreement with so that tempered realistic vision is definitely needed. The huge decisive element of the moment is the media that is looking to vilify and criticise Trump at every turn, every day. In 1995 President Clinton said the same thing about immigration to a standing ovation. No matter what Trump does it will be portrayed badly. Since the media has taken this tack, it would seem the majority/all of his supporters will not trust/believe ANYTHING the media will now have to say, IMO. It’s going to get worse i fear.
Since the FedEx guy has been covered daily by the Eastern Iowa news, the coverage being positive for him-not so much for the protesters,(two arrested for open burning,) there has been a groundswell of support growing. Has been almost as satisfying as the”ambush”we executed/watched on election day. In the day or two following the televised coverage of his story, a group of veterans have taken up their post at the same location with signs/flags to show support of our American flag/FedEx guy also covered on the news with good response…Thanks JR for your initial support before it was national news.

CaptTurbo….DH has always been about walking away from Mexican/imported stuff/food. Here’s hoping the tariff eventually helps our own producers down the road. It’s another case of it will get worse before it gets better…lots of what the new administration will(hopefully)do will be like this i fear. Some of it will be a hard pill to swallow unless we hold onto a long term view, ouch.
