Interesting times we are living in.
A few thoughts on survival and the world today…….
Firearms & Ammunition Scarcity – While I predict little improvement at all over the coming months this situation with ammunition and firearms is ridiculous. Of course, my feelings on the matter don’t mean shit as pricing continues to go up and the availability seemingly degrades week after week. I stopped by a local gunshot and .223 ammunition was $1.50 per round.
Insanity.
Well – as insane as it is if we want to practice and enjoy shooting it takes ammunition – or a vivid imagination…LOL. The local gun shop can keep their $1.50 rounds as if you search enough you can pay less. No local sources? Here is an online sources for .223 Remington:
20rd Box Australian Outback .223 Rem 55gr Sierra Blitzking – $17.99
People looking for private & secure means to communicate – There’s a movement towards private communications. With the targeting of Conservatives and Patriots, many are abandoning mainstream social media such as Facebook. Some are going a bit further and tightening their communication methods and using encrypted messaging tools such as Telegram and email such as Protonmail.
The Future of America – A couple of years ago I wrote a series of articles revolving around my vision of a “2nd civil war”. I called this coming battle the “American Reformation.” Not really sure why I didn’t call it a “2nd Civil War”. Guess just trying to be different and make a designation that it would be quite unlike what most think of when they think civil war. As we travel through 2021 and look to the future I can’t help but see division continuing to grow. I certainly see outbursts and protests and other forms of civil unrest continuing as segments of the population become more dissatisfied with government and society in general. Groups like Antifa and BLM will not stop until they get what they want and taking advantage of various situations is what they will do.
I’ll be revising and republishing many of the American Reformation articles to reflect current times and conditions.
Hope everyone has a great weekend. Going to go do some shooting on Saturday, do a Sam’s Club run, and grill a couple steaks.
Take care all.

Private comms is a good thing.. Check out the proton VPN as well .. so the communications can’t be traced to a source. I added Telegram back as well a Signal (two is one and one is none). Telegram has a useful windows client as well.
I’ve begun working some DMR radios as well. Channels, digital and analog. Programmed groups, point to point messaging and texting.. nice benefits.
Still working it out .. and going back through and auditing the General licensing class locally to meet folks and add to the skill set by focusing on the areas I want.
Back working toward Ammron as well.. good area information locally is critical.. so is good national/international info (Ammron). private communications fits right in there.
We will reform.. the question is who controls it, the people to be governed, or those that want to give the government they think those people should have.
have a good weekend

GG58 – did some trialing with DMR’s. I loved it. Very clear reception. Texting as you mentioned. Range was fantastic and better than what I was getting with typical handhelds.
Thanks for pointing out Protonmail.
You’re welcome Sheltie
Thanks for telling about protonmail. Shortages because of all the new gun owners a people stocking up I can understand, but the continuations of these shortages makes me wonder if here anything being done to remedy the situation or are we getting campaign type promises from the manufacturers. I called a leading supplier of gun parts and supplies about a new loading press, after the phone rep on three presses, all the same except the included did set, I was told they had none available and no idea when they would be. I then asked if the government was buying everything up, and were was she didn’t know. What I really needed was a new powder reservoir for the powder measure, which there is none of those available either, I found a company called Dram Word which makes a Pyrex glass replacement for most powder measures, I am quite with mine and Ward is very easy to work with.
Left out happy with mine, sorry.
Glad to hear it JohnP. I was looking at getting into reloading. No where for me to set up and like you mentioned – supplies are scarce.
@JohnP
Its called Dram Worx. Your spell checker probably messed it up.
I have only read a synopsis of the book, but it kinda points toward where we are heading. The book is entitled “Schism”. From what little I read it’s about the split of the country.
ralph+k, true, it hated some people’s nicknames. John, Midway U S A may still sell a small stand for mounting a press on for use in apartments, I have some rguipment on eBay.
