From the Desk of John Rourke – July 13th, 2017

It’s been a little while since I have promoted Emergency Essentials. The reason is simple – they haven’t had great sales. For the month of July, things look much better. Here are a few examples:

Instant Non-Fat Dry Milk, Large Can – Reg. $21.06 / SALE: $13.99

Freeze Dried White Chicken, Cooked & Seasoned – Reg. $55.49 / SALE: $30.00(must buy 6)

55-gallon Water Drum – Reg. $99.94  / SALE: $72.99

Peanut Butter Powder – Reg. $17.72  / SALE: $12.99

The media is hyperventilating over Donald Trump Jr. and his meeting with a Russian lawyer. Did he meet with the lawyer to get dirt on Killary? Yes. Are we really expected to believe that given the same opportunity the Killary Camp would NOT have done the same? Insanity.

Now – Killary’s running mate Tim Kaine has suggested “We are now beyond obstruction of justice,” the Virginia Democrat told CNN Tuesday. “This is moving into perjury, false statements and even potentially treason.”

So Kaine is suggesting the sitting President may be open to a firing squad. Interesting.

I have to admit though I saw many similar statements being thrown around about Obama over the last 8 years. Free speech, right? The difference is Mr. Kaine is a member of Congress. I think he should be a little more careful in his suggestions than “Billy Bob” at the local trailer park.

The new above ground pool is coming along nicely. Having over 3,000 gallons of water available is a good thing. I’m looking into a system where I could tap into that reservoir and use it for firefighting.

Looking for an all-metal gas can? Found a jerry can replica on Amazon for under $30 with free shipping. I believe this is the exact same one I just check out at Tractor Supply – where it was around $60.

jerry can, gas can, metal gas can, SHTF, prepper, preparedness, shtf

I ordered one. Plan to mount it to my bug out trailer which I should get back in October some time. Wish the old military jerry cans were still available at decent prices.

Let’s see. The Obama administration tried twice to get a FISA warrant to wire tap the Trump campaign. Turned down both times. Then, a Russian lawyer Natalia offers to meet and share Hillary dirt. 10 minutes into it, Jr walks out. However, based on this meet, the administration tries a third time for a FISA warrant and gets it.
To add to this, Loretta Lynch authorized Natalia’s special visa?
    Sure smells funny…

You will need the old fashion big funnel to accompany the jerry can. Otherwise, half of the fuel goes to the ground.

By the way, any comment from Citizen Kaine should be suspect. You never know if he is off of his med’s. Based on his numerous comments during the campaign, I wondered if he was Pelosi’s brother or Maxine Water’s cousin. The guy is way off from having a full load of bricks for his brain.

It comes with a long nozzle. Yeah – I’ve poured gas down the side of my cars before trying to get it in the tank before.

I have 6 of these cans, had them for a few years now, I actually got my mine five for a hundred with spouts. If they are the same I purchased on Amazon a few years back, no they are not mil spec, meaning they will not fit your standerd military cargo attached holder, I know what your thinking right now because it’s exactly what I thought when I was completing my transaction, who gives a shit, do I have a humvee with military tank holders…. let me think… oh yeah, no, I have a Jeep Wrangler with a tail hitch rack wich fits exactly six of these cans that have been Electrostatically primed and painted inside and out, and after three years of constant rotation still look as shiny on the inside as the out, so would I go back to three years ago when people were driving prices of militarism up so high Jerry cans would cost 90 a peace and buy them…. um no! And still won’t, my lesson in this is shop, shop, shop, do your diligent research or reviews never buy the first price you see, because it’s most always gouging!!!

I used to purchase from Emergency Essentials too, but also found their prices high and sales few and far between. I switched to The Ready Store: https://www.thereadystore.com
If you join their ReadyQueue for $20 you get free shipping and it allows you to save a item’s sale price for 6 months in that queue. Today they are offering 20% off site wide, so I can combine that with my discounted saved items and save a fortune.
    Check it out!

Anyone else see that a old Survivalist Standby Nitro-Pak is closing up shop? A lot of my emergency food was from Emergency Essentials too but their sales went the way of CTD once the ‘prepper craze’ took effect and items I wanted were always out of stock. Same thing happened with Honeyville Farms – Two months ago we opened a #10 of their Chicken flavored TVP and it wasn’t the best tasting. We had planned on using the TVP protein bits to enhance the pasta, rice & bean meals.
Might have to look at a couple of those gas cans, I have two USGI plastic ones I bought 6yrs ago, and in a group buy 2 of the metal nato cans from Sportsmans Guide before they did the bait and switch to the low quality chinese version (chinese version had raised spot welded seams, the ‘good’ nato cans had flush welded seams). I just looked and Walmart has the chinese knock-off metal nato cans for $20 and just under $40 for the carrier & can – but they’re the lower quality metal ones. I’m in the process of refilling them with 90 octane ethanol free gasoline, but it’s about $1.09 more than regular gas at the moment. I also put in proper amount of PRI-G for longest shelf life.
