Anyone have any experience with ETS Glock magazines? I will be taking my Freedom Ordnance FX-9 to the range this weekend. It uses Glock 17 magazines and looking at options beyond the Glock factory mags.

The stock market continues it’s upward swing. Good for my 401k, however, a correction is bound to happen. Might be a day, a month, or 5 years – but it will happen.

An employee of mine was severely burned in a grease fire at his house in the kitchen. I don’t know all the details, however, when you are at home next look around and see where your fire extinguisher is. Although I had one in my kitchen on my refrigerator I moved it to the far wall from the stove and mounted it to the wall. Wife not happy but she will be should there be a fire.

I am considering a second install as well.

The rain is finally over in my area and the weekend is looking to have some great weather. Planning on some shooting Saturday morning, maybe go see the new Alien movie Friday night – and kayaking Sunday. Have to start getting that adventure back in my life and in my heart and feel alive.

What are you doing? What are your plans? Anything exciting?

Another celebrity snowflake participating in the demise of this country:

How can someone think in this manner? I don’t get it. An Islamist terrorist – son of Libyan refugees –  kills innocent children at a concert and Katy Perry believes we need to eliminate walls and “just co-exist”. The reality? She lives in a dream world BEHIND walls of both a physical and mental nature. She fails to identify with the harsh realities of the world and understand that there are evil people and evil belief systems that are incompatible with other people and belief systems.

You cannot hug a terrorist into submission. You can put a bullet in their head.

Period.

Have a great weekend everyone. Be safe out there.

There are many reasons why so many love their Kindle and Amazon Fire tablets. One huge advantage is you could literally go years without every buying a book to read as there are tons of free eBooks available. Don’t have a Kindle or Fire? No problem. There are apps that can be installed on most any cell phone or computer for free. No excuses!

NOTE: If you see a free preparedness eBook that you’re interested in get it now. Prices change often and there is no way to tell how long the book will remain free. Before purchasing a free Kindle book on Amazon make certain the book is still free by making sure the price is $0.00. If it lists a price or says “read for free” or has a price for prime members the book is not free anymore.

Katy can start by flinging open the gates if she lives in a gated community, then tear down or open the gate to her residence. Oh, and she can also leave all her doors unlocked and the windows open, Then I say, “It’s party time, where’s the pool?” I can’t wait to see what the inside of her house looks like. . . .

Yep, they change it fast, I suspect they program a number of free downloads in and when it teaches that it automatically changes to the regular price, I think this is a sort of promotional advertising

Clark – I sell a Kindle book and generally I select the amount of time it remains free however it has been quite a while since doing that. You may be right.

Prayers for your worker. Grease fires are a terrible thing. You really can’t imagine how quickly it goes up until you see it happen, and it’s something you never forget even when there are no injuries. For those without fire extinguishers, several pounds of baking soda works, too. Just stay back from the flames and fling the powder on as fast as you can. You can worry about the clean-up later.

When you get that answer on the ETS mags, I’d sure be interested in hearing about it. Both ETS and Magpul seem to make a good product but the lack of a metal liner makes me nervous about their long term durability.

    – When I saw that report on her. I was like…you, are out, of your *Censored* mind! See/click the link below to get the full picture.

    – Stock Market? Funny, me and our prep group were literally just talking about the same thing. Hitlery didn’t when, we got a break, but break time is over. Loving getting out and about this summer. It’s good to get that focus on life. But our group needs to get back on it. Still going to keep active outside for sure. I wish I had a 401K. Not for retirement reasons either. Only, because if things start to get really bad. Like they were looking during the election or if, hitlery had won. I would take a pretty good size loan against my 401k to buy big ticket items or anything with that money. I mean, where else can you pay interest and yourself back? Your paying a loan where the payment is going right back into your own account.

    – Kayaking? I’m jealous.

-What have we been up to? It’s really, really weird. My wife has gotten the bug as much as I have about being active. She really turned up the heat and has been doing her exercises a lot. The kids? Pffffft, beats me, but they’ve been actively asking me everyday if they can go outside. Steaming heat or not. I got my Triathlon bike fixed up and have been hitting the roads. Also, it should be noted I look like a Christmas tree. Meaning I have so many lights and reflective material on..lol. I really don’t want to get hit.

    – I agree with KT.

    – Wise words SingleMom, thanks.

Capt M. Thank you for posting this! I have forwarded this to many people for this weekend. I run into a WWII combat vet every so often at the market. Purple Heart and I suspect more. However, this man I meet is ever so humble.I always thank him for his service … and he just smiles and says “thanks.” I don’t tell him I’m a vet. Anyway … thanks ….And happy Memorial Day !

You’re welcome sir. Thank you for sharing. Your words remind me true inner strength comes from within (((Salute)))

Purchased smoke alarms, CO alarms, and fire extinguishers for my home and my 2 sons’ homes about a year ago. First thing I learned is that if you can’t get to a fire extinguisher, it does you no good. So, we all keep at least one fire extinguisher in our master bedrooms in case a fire breaks out in the kitchen, garage, or any other room in the home during the night. Also, if a fire broke out in the bedroom hallways, we probably couldn’t get to an extinguisher located in another room. Each home has the alarms connected by a wi-fi type system. Smoke, heat, or CO anywhere in the home will set off all alarms. Say we are in the bedroom, and an alarm goes off elsewhere, we can push a button on bedroom alarm which will shut off all alarms except where the problem is located. So, we know immediately where the problem is. Also. each system has a paddle device between the mattresses in the master bedroom that shakes the bed if any device is tripped. These systems were not inexpensive, but, I feel well worth it, especially now that I have grandkids. I also have a disabled son that could never physically escape from most fires.

    1. JR says:

Thanks vandal67 for sharing the information. I am requesting my company – partly due to the accident that happened – give away fire extinguishers next “Safety Week”.
