Ask a question and I will give you an answer. It can be about pretty much anything – politics, firearms, current events, survival, preparedness, or “Is it true that cannibals don’t eat clowns because they taste funny?? – whatever.

Go ahead – “make my day.”

JoeMO – I have never raised rabbits so only speaking from what I have heard. My understanding is rabbits are one of the most efficient methods to raise meat. They simply multiply and require little in effort to keep them going. They have a limited birthing life however the number of replacement offspring is huge.

Others with more direct knowledge may chime in.

Brick – Yes I have heard. Have had several discussions with folks at local GS as well. You are right – Remington has been very evasive for years.

How often do you/others practice, think about, or plan your tactics? I mean, I know you specifically have a gazillion things already on your plate. I.e. this is why/what other team members are supposed to do. Help pick up the slack and share the weight.

Here is a good little show I recommend. It’s called the Ultimate Soldier Challenge and was produced by the History channel. It’s a short series you can watch on YouTube. These different military units compete in short scenarios. They are short, but it makes you think and realize. Watching these units Seals, etc compete expelling A LOT of energy in thought, physical fitness, and mental challenges. Regardless, of their condition during this competition for whatever reason… it will make you re-evaluate the groups readiness, tactics, and physical levels.

Surely, everyone in the group cannot be at these levels and some may not be mobile at all. All the more why a group should focus on who can do what and what they will do. There are so many videos, people with good intentions, people that mean well, and good people that just contribute information. We all, including myself need to apply it often. This…is what will keep you and your loved one’s safe

Thanks Capt. Michaels. Very good point. That is something I would like to expand on soon as it is an issue in my own group and an area we must improve.

You don’t need them at that level, just at a level where they can work together, follow instructions and keep their heads. The hardest part is getting preppers to be open to following someone elses instructions. I use my many years of experience as a leader in Boy Scouts as an example. Every 6 months we hold elections for a new “Senior Patrol Leader”, and after each change we see the previous leader having a tough time taking instruction from the previous one. Once they get the hang of it though it is a beautiful thing to watch. Adults are harder to get to do this though, but it can be done. Changing who is the tactical lead is good practice in case your principle Tactician is otherwise unavailable in a situation requiring one voice in command.

    Just my two cents.
