Is a Collapse Around The Corner?

We are heading for a new great depression, but most of us are completely unaware. If you do not pay attention and look for specific news it’s easy to just assume everything’s OK.  It’s not. The world is simply getting crazier day by day. Keeping up with the pieces of the puzzle is not easy.

Here are a few pieces:

  • Inflation(being underreported by the government) continues to increase week after week.
  • Climate Change and White Supremecy are considered the biggest threats to the United States by the Biden administration.
  • National deficits are growing and taking us to a Federal Debt of $30 trillion.
  • The USD is losing value basically creating a pay decrease for all Americans.
  • Continued rising tensions with China and Russia.
  • Several cyberattacks have occurred hitting different industries. The threat from cybercrimes is increasing and could play a very large role in a future SHTF event.
  • It’s become blatantly obvious that the government has taken full advantage of COVID to push forth agendas which they normally wouldn’t.
  • Anti-police activity which led to defunding of police departments across the nation is reeling as crime spikes.
  • Thefts are up as well as rapes, murders, and other violent crimes. Reports are coming in that these crimes are occurring in areas that typically are peaceful.
  • Illegal drug use is up and homelessness is as well.
  • Division amongst citizens continues to grow with many sides becoming more organized, decisive, and radical.
  • Supply chain issues continue across numerous industries and for a variety of reasons.
  • Illegal immigration continues to trend upwards as the current Administration welcomes those crossing the border.
  • Firearm purchases continue to be strong among those favorable to the 2nd Amendment as well as those typically NOT in favor of guns.

economic collapse, United States, SHF, prepper, preparedness, survival

Many have predicted economic collapse and other calamities for years. Time and time again accurately predicting the future is shown to be extremely difficult, well, pretty much impossible. What can be done is to look at as many data points as possible and come to a consensus as to the direction of the data points. While timing is difficult to determine I’ll say the indicators are not good. The pieces of the puzzle can just now start to be assembled and the corresponding picture is horrific.

What do you think? What is going to happen over the next 2-3 years? 5-7 years?

What are your biggest concerns?

Interesting time no doubt.

    Divide the country so we’ll no longer stand together. Then we’re easy pickings for China and Russia, which already have their hands in so much of our lives. One can invade the East Coast, one on the West Coast, and we’ll have no military support because the National Guard has been used to supplement the regular Army overseas and the regular Army is caught up in making everyone feel good. The snowflakes will all join hands singing “Kumbaya” and declare that it’s in everyone’s best interests to stand down, because after all, the governments of Russia and China have done such a good job of taking care of their citizens.

    Of course we have been broken for a long time, and gradually failing at many things. the election was the point of rapid decline. Free unbacked money was one point for sure. “If printing all the money they need , is the answer, why do they still collect taxes ?”. Regardless of explanation, or dissemblance, it’s fiscally irresponsible and deadly to the US Economy. Several “great” countries have suggested removing the USD as the preferred method of international debt settlement. one step closer of declaring the USD and no-longer being the international reserve currency. Volatile and near run on precious metals, is another telling sign.

    IMO opinion the signs are all there, and wait only for a flash point, and angry political reprisal that results in fiscal disaster. Fact has little to do with it. Todays cause and effect isn’t fact based any longer, if it ever was.

    This country is in terrible shape in every aspect. Our Grandkids wont’ have the same freedom and opportunities we grew up with.

    John, SHTF is not to far away and I think it will make the Civil War look like a family disagreement in comparison to what will happen when this country divides. What we have seen with these riots is only the start.

    re:
    this phase of this collapse
    .
    Based on parallel evidence in innovations in manufacturing and technology, we are evolving right in schedule.
    Anybody attempting to rush into the next phase is wasting energy.
    Anybody clinging to anything out-dated is wasting energy.
    Examples of out-dated:
    * petroleum-based fuels
    * “disposable” packages for food, clothing, shipping
    * centralized planners disconnected from results of their planning (aka ‘the government agents’)
    * cities, then towns, then villages… anybody without a garden and clean drinking water on their property is doomed
    * noise-producing equipment — vehicles, chain-saws, aircraft, firearms without mufflers
    .
    These are foundational to thrive during the next phase of this collapse:
    * small farmsteads
    * multiple independent sources of electricity
    * animal husbandry
    * extended family (aka ‘tribe’)
    * skills over stuff, mentoring those skills
    * home-school, home-church, home-governance
    * well-equipped home work-shop(s)
    * out-door kitchen
    .
    Until we evolve past photovoltaic panels connected to batteries manufactured in distant lands, I see these as growing potential.
    If I was me, I might investigate growing them at home using local common materials.
    .
    Looking forward, the next phase of this collapse is unimaginable.
    After it happens, looking back, it will seem inevitable, inescapable.
    .
    This’s an amazing time!

    The attacks and defunding of police is all part of the Marxist plan in this country. They have to destroy local control of law enforcement, so they can justify DHS taking over all law enforcement operations on a national scale, much like Canada and European countries have done. Once Law Enforcement has been nationalized it is over!!! LE must remain in the hands of cities, counties, and states.
