Burns suck.

Years ago I had a job where I had to use a soldering iron frequently. Via some juvenile antics by fellow employees hand and finger burns were common. Back then I discovered Water-Jel. This lidocaine-based pain reliever worked great and I still keep it in the kitchen, first aid kit, and stocked up in the medical supplies.

water jel, burn jel, first aid, supplies, survival, preparedness, prepper, bugging out,

Burns suck.

Milk is a little known burn killer too. And everyone normally has it in the fridge. Don’t be shy, use a lot of it. It’s saved my accident prone child a couple of times.

Have used this for a few years now, works well. As an aside, former ex used to do theater work with lots of use with hot glue guns. All her contemporaries learned to have a small bowl of ice water next to their work area for immediate submersion in case of burns which happened with much regularity. It saved many hands and fingers and cut down on the expletives also. Could be of use for the soldering crowd as well, IMHO.
