Well, the project is complete which I discussed here, and took the rifle out to the range. I worked on adjusting the Vortex 1-8X scope at a range of 50 yards. The mosquitoes were driving me crazy and felt I was pretty close and headed out.
During a recent trip to my brothers in Georgia, I sent a few freedom seeds downrange and shot the group below. Range? Somewhere around 50-yards. I could have made a few clicks for elevation but holding off ’till my next range session. BTW – no lead sled, no rest. I leaned the magazine on a small table to try to steady the crosshairs and hoped for the best. I’m satisfied, but, looking forward to going to my regular range to finish.
