Time is flying by. Well over half the year is gone. I cannot begin to imagine what will happen the rest of the year(or next 5 years for that matter).

How important is it to know who may be a prepper in your area? How about a criminal? I have mentioned area intelligence – or community intelligence before. It is something I have been reading quite a bit on. Consider your retreat location. What if you failed to be aware of a “compound” 10 miles away from it. This compound is manned by 20+ people who have somewhat similar thoughts as yourself that some bad times are ahead. Is that important knowledge?
I think so.
Beyond the knowledge of the people themselves, understanding what resources are available and where they are at is important. Look around a bit. There are often solar panels in numerous locations. If there is a solar panel – I would almost guarantee there is a battery or batteries.

Yes…time is flying by. Good point about area intelligence. Our group has discussed this before and discussed interactions with others in detail. What our offer to co-exist and what not. It’s really important to have a discussed plan in place since other “people” in the area will eventually find you. Especially, if they refuse your offer to co-exist. Then what?

Very important, more so on the second question. In my job as an LEO, I have an advantage in knowing who the bad guys are in my area. Live in the community I work. While out on patrol in the more rural area, I notice the properties that have gardens, solar panels, and other items that might point or add up to this person is a preparedness type individual. Your lifestyle will communicate to a trained observer more information about you than your own words. OPSEC!!!
